Almost every woman periodically experiences problems with her legs, which are the result of overwork, wearing traumatic clothes and shoes, or an unhealthy lifestyle.
Foot problems can be completely different, but they all cause pain or lead to unsightly manifestations. Often we ourselves are to blame for the deplorable condition of our feet - we do not pay special attention to them, while they bear a very heavy load and need careful care.
What foot problems do we primarily encounter? In first place among leg diseases is varicose veins, which affects almost every second woman over 40 years of age. There are many reasons for the occurrence of varicose veins, but doctors consider the most important ones to be excess weight and pregnancy complications. How to recognize varicose veins in the early stages? If your legs “hum” during the working day, and in the evening they swell and ache, you cannot sleep at night due to a feeling of numbness or a rush of blood to your legs - varicose veins are about to manifest themselves as swollen veins. This means it’s time to seriously take care of your feet and take preventive measures. In such cases, it is necessary to find time for relaxing baths with the addition of chamomile or rose oil, contrast baths, which are made at home using two basins with hot and cold water, as well as daily evening rubbing of the feet with healing ice and mint infusion.
Doctors recommend starting the day with a simple exercise: raise your legs up while lying down (you can lean them on the wall) and remain in this position for 10 minutes so that the blood flows from the legs to the pelvis and the blood circulation that was disrupted during the night is restored.
Rubbing with cool water and apple cider vinegar and nightly compresses of apple cider vinegar applied to the feet and insulated with woolen socks are great for relaxing tired feet.
The skin on the feet often becomes very dry and irritated, and the soles crack, making every step painful. The causes of such changes may be fungal infection or natural physiological changes, menopause, for example. Dry skin on the legs can occur as a reaction to hair removal procedures, in which case the constant use of moisturizers, creams or gels can help. Cracked heels can be cured with home remedies: medical paraffin, heated natural wax and salicylic acid are mixed and applied to the place where the heel is cracked, dried and applied a few more layers, apply a gauze bandage and keep the mask on for about a day. Then take a hot bath with baking soda and soap and remove rough skin with a pumice stone. Just a few procedures will eliminate the unpleasant and painful phenomenon.
Problems with the skin of the feet are often associated with excessive sweating, when the delicate skin between the toes is constantly wet, irritated and smells bad. Diaper rash on the feet and excessive sweating can be the result of a fungal infection, which requires special treatment; they also occur due to violations of hygiene standards, for example, when choosing low-quality shoes made from artificial materials that do not provide air flow and outflow. Tight shoes, shoes with rubber soles - all this leads to increased sweating, and this, in turn, is aggravated by the development of a fungal infection.
Daily hygiene procedures, washing your feet with cool water, baths with rosemary or primrose extract, and wearing socks made of natural fabrics can reduce the manifestations of sweating.
Among the folk recipes you can find very effective tips for curing sweating and dry feet, for example these:
Brew 300 g of dried oak bark with 2 liters of boiling water, simmer over low heat for half an hour, dilute in two liters of warm water and steam your feet for half an hour.
An infusion of pine needles helps eliminate sweating and odor, and baths with bird cherry infusion (1 tbsp of dried raw material per 100 ml) will completely get rid of the problem in a couple of weeks of daily use.
Fungal infections also affect nails, especially when they are constrained by uncomfortable shoes. Medications effectively treat this disease, a sign of which is the thickening of the nail and its yellow color. Problems with toenails can be quickly eliminated with constant care, keeping your feet clean and protected from excessive sweating.
Very often, toenails grow ingrown, deformed and cause great inconvenience - most often this problem requires surgical intervention, but there are also folk remedies that can help with minor nail deformation.
“Grandma’s” recipe for ingrown toenails and corns.
Steam your feet in hot water and apply a compress with fresh urine to the sore spot. Urea perfectly steams dead skin, and the nail itself comes out of the ingrown area. Use if there is no suppuration or open wounds.
For ordinary calluses, you can use the following recipes:
Steam the skin with a bath and apply a compress with aloe juice or oak bark decoction (1:5) overnight.
Propolis also helps great with calluses. After a hot bath, you need to lightly scrape off the keratinized skin on the callus and apply a compress with heated propolis to it. The compress is left for three days, after which the callus usually goes away almost on its own.
Problems with your legs can become more complicated over the years, so you shouldn’t leave everything to chance and neglect prevention - for your own beauty, lightness and maintaining a young and confident gait.

LightLife, there is a very good Venolife gel. It should be applied for prevention if you yourself understand that there is a lot of stress on your legs. It also helps with stars.

Swimming helps very well; it does not overstrain the leg muscles, gently massages them and brings everything back to normal. Swim in a pool, river, lake, sea 2-3 times a week for half an hour - within a month you will notice noticeable improvements.
But the gels didn’t help me, they can only be used as an adjuvant, the problem must be solved from the inside, I take the vasobral, the phlebologist prescribed it, it strengthens the walls of blood vessels, plus it improves venous outflow, so no swelling or venous mesh))

I asked a surgeon the other day about the so-called bruises on my legs, since we don’t have a phlebologist, so he told me, well, whatever you want, age is not varicose veins. So think about either believing him or the TV, where they say that at the first symptoms you need to sound the alarm and run to the doctor.

I didn’t think that I would encounter such a problem at my age, I thought it was a risk group - those over 40-50 years old, but that is what it is - I went to the hospital and the diagnosis was confirmed - varicose veins. I myself am not plump, one might even say I’m very slim, but standing up makes itself felt. Girls, tell me how to cure this disease - the legs themselves are beautiful and I would like it to stay that way.

So I also went to the surgeon at the district clinic, he sent me for an ultrasound, and then he deciphered the results himself. Thank God, there are no varicose veins, but you need to take care of your legs. He also prescribed a diet (without fatty, fried, spicy foods), advised exercises, venotonic ointment (Venolife, good for heaviness in the legs), something else, I don’t remember. I just can’t give up heels; the dress code doesn’t allow it.

Yes, I agree. The swimming pool has a very good effect on your health. Indeed, it improves muscle tone, makes the skin more pleasant, and helps against cellulite. I'm for it too!
Should I take it all the time?
Well, it’s good that varicose veins were not found in you! You did everything right, that means. It is for this reason that you should consult a doctor, so that you can be properly advised on what to do in a specific situation. In the early stages of any disease it is easier to treat than in late and advanced stages.
The veins in the legs require our special attention. If you do nothing for the veins in the legs, there is a risk that varicose veins will begin or progress, complications will arise, and surgical treatment may even be required.
Non-drug treatment of veins in the legs is the basis for preventing the occurrence and progression of varicose veins. To prevent the veins in your legs from bothering you, you should not allow yourself to stand for a long time. As they say, it is better for the veins in the legs when a person walks than stands, and better when lying down than sitting.
The veins in the legs do not like compression. Therefore, it is not advisable to cross your legs. It is interesting that the veins in the leg that are on top and not on the bottom suffer. For leg veins, it is not advisable to wear socks, stockings, stockings and underwear with compressive edges. During pregnancy, it is worth wearing a bandage to reduce compression of large veins by the growing uterus (primarily the inferior vena cava).
It is best for leg veins to sleep with the foot end of the bed elevated. To do this, it is usually enough to place a small blanket folded 2-3 times under your feet.
If you are not sure that you will be able to avoid stagnation in the veins in your legs (you will have to stand for a long time, you will have to carry weights during pregnancy), you should wear special compression socks or stockings, or bandage your legs with an elastic bandage.
Shoes should always be comfortable.
If you have varicose veins on your legs, you should avoid solariums and saunas, and vacuum (roller and cupping) leg massage is prohibited.
There are local and general drug treatment of veins in the legs. Local treatment of leg veins is the use of gels, creams and ointments that contain anti-inflammatory, venotonic and blood thinning active ingredients. Local remedies prepared according to traditional medicine recipes, for example, from chestnuts and (or) citrus fruits, are very common for the prevention and treatment of veins on the legs.
To restore the tone of the veins in the legs, improve microcirculation and reduce stagnation, special medications are used. They are usually taken in courses of 2-3 months 1-2 times a year for prophylactic purposes in case of initial diseases of the veins in the legs, longer - in case of severe varicose veins. This makes sense, since the effectiveness of these drugs has been proven by research and many years of experience in use. Such treatment directly prevents the progression of varicose veins and most likely protects against possible surgical treatment.
In addition, people who suffer from varicose veins in the legs should remember that there are medications that can contribute to the progression of this disease and even lead to thrombophlebitis (thrombosis and inflammation of the veins). Such drugs include, first of all, hormonal contraceptives and hemostatic drugs. Therefore, before taking them, consult a phlebologist or surgeon. You should definitely tell your doctors that you have problems with the veins in your legs so that they take this into account when prescribing treatment.
Surgery is a radical method. Now there are minimally invasive and classical methods of surgical treatment of varicose veins in the legs. All of them involve the removal of varicose veins on the legs.
Surgical treatment is used if, despite non-drug and drug treatment, varicose veins in the legs progress and, even more so, if complications arise (thrombophlebitis, trophic ulcers). Surgical treatment of varicose veins on the legs is carried out only after the complication has been cured.
However, even after surgical treatment has been performed, it is necessary to continue to receive drug and non-drug treatment for the veins in the legs, since the dilated vein and its branches are usually removed. If you do not take care of your leg veins in the future, varicose veins in other leg veins or their remaining branches may develop. And then another surgical intervention may be required.
To effectively prevent and treat varicose veins in the legs and prevent indications for surgical treatment, diosmin-based drugs are used. The drug Phlebodia (Innotec International, France) contains 600 mg of diosmin. This dose is prescribed once a day in a course in accordance with the complexity of the problems with the veins in the legs. It is very important to note that the drug Phlebodia can be used by pregnant women (starting from the fourth month of pregnancy), a significant part of whom require treatment of veins in the legs. The drug Phlebodia is the most important component in the treatment of veins in the legs, as it is highly effective, safe and, in many cases, when taken regularly, allows you to avoid surgery for problems with veins in the legs.
When your legs hurt because you have overworked them out of habit, this is normal. And if unpleasant sensations arise for no apparent reason, it is better to worry and get examined.
Pain in the legs does not always mean that the problem is with them. Sometimes we can learn from “our other two” that we have troubles with our veins and arteries, nerves and endocrine system. Here are just a few diseases that share this common symptom.
Details. Acute pain in the legs occurs when walking. The first 50–100 steps are easy, but then pain and numbness arise. After a short rest, the symptoms disappear. Therefore, a person is forced to periodically make stops along the way.
What to do: Quit smoking (nicotine is the main risk factor for vascular ischemia) and consult a vascular surgeon. The doctor will prescribe a set of tests: MRI, angiography, vascular ultrasound, various blood tests (including for nonspecific inflammatory factors). In case of severe sudden pain, it is better to call an ambulance - this may be a sign of blockage of a large artery. In this case, there are only a few hours during which the leg can be saved. The disease is treated conservatively and surgically (vascular plastic surgery is used).
Details. Calf-squeezing pain and cramps intensify when walking, running, climbing stairs and can disturb you at night. Cold feet both in winter and summer. Absence of clear pulsation on the big toe.
What to do: Quit smoking and see a vascular surgeon. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance contrast angiography are used for diagnosis. Timely treatment will protect against gangrene and amputation.
Details. The nagging unpleasant pain intensifies towards the end of the working day. My legs are buzzing so much that I want to lie down and throw them higher.
What to do: At the first symptoms, go to a vascular surgeon and do an ultrasound scan of the veins (Doppler sonography). The doctor will prescribe further treatment.
Details. In the calf muscles there is a constant throbbing pain, often turning into a burning sensation. Redness and swelling, painful compactions along the veins.
What to do: Immediately go to a vascular surgeon. Do an angioscan to evaluate the superficial and deep veins along their entire length, determine the degree of blockage of the veins, and identify the threat of a blood clot. If there is no threat, then drugs are prescribed that reduce blood clotting, strengthen the walls of blood vessels and increase their tone, helping to dissolve the blood clot. Sometimes surgery or installation of a special blood clot trap, a vena cava filter, in the inferior vena cava is indicated.
Details. Severe pain in the lower leg at rest, fever and chills, as well as severe redness of the skin.
What to do: Go to an infectious disease specialist. Erysipelas is treated, like any other infectious disease, with antibiotics. Mild form – outpatient, moderate and severe – in hospital. In addition to medications, physiotherapy is used: ultraviolet irradiation, UHF, magnets, currents, laser.
Details. Acute “twisting” pain in the joint area when walking or standing for a long time; the joints themselves become deformed and begin to “click.” The pain intensifies when the weather changes. Pain, swelling, limitation of movement, redness and increased temperature of the skin in the joint area.
What to do: Visit a rheumatologist as soon as possible, take an x-ray of the joints (necessarily on both legs) and take a general clinical blood test. Arthroscopy may be needed. Treatment is complex; in addition to medications, you will need special orthopedic devices, physiotherapy, diet, and exercise therapy.
Details. Cramps occur in the legs (especially at night), swelling, weakness and pain, the skin on the legs becomes dry, peeling and itching appear. Often the legs “go numb”, they experience a sensation of “crawling goosebumps” and tingling.
What to do: Donate blood for sugar. Bad result - quickly see an endocrinologist.
Details. Leg cramps and severe pain in the calves are a sign of calcium deficiency. Women over 40, especially fragile blue-eyed blondes, are at particular risk.
What to do: Do densitometry (X-ray measurement of the level and density of bone tissue in the body). Take calcium supplements and special medications – bisphosphonates.
There is no woman who would not dream of slender and beautiful legs. There is a widespread belief that the lion's share of representatives of the stronger sex “bites” on such legs. For this reason, ladies wear high heels every day. However, even such shoes are ineffective for some diseases that manifest themselves on the feet. Therefore, you should always maintain their health. Today we will look at common foot problems, the six main “enemies” of beautiful legs.
This is a very common pathology, most often found in people aged +30. Its essence is to expand and lengthen the veins in the legs. Protruding veins and spider veins on the calves can hardly be called a decoration for the legs. However, this is not so bad: refusal to treat varicose veins can lead to more serious complications, for example, thrombosis, eczema).
The disease is typical for people who are on their feet for a long time: hairdressers, salespeople, doctors, teachers. By the way, women suffer from varicose veins much more often than men.
Remember, varicose veins are an irreversible process. This speaks to the importance of early detection of the disease. Alarm bells are swelling of the legs, which appear at the end of the day, but disappear by the morning. It is also worth worrying about heaviness in the calves, which decreases when walking. If you notice these signs, consult a doctor just in case.
A deplorable trend has been noted: these pathologies are only becoming “younger” every year. They are united by similar symptoms, as in both cases the joints are damaged. But still these are different diseases. With arthrosis, the articular cartilage suffers, and with arthritis, the joints become inflamed. In advanced cases, inflammation spreads to the elbows and knees and even internal organs.
Arthritis may additionally be accompanied by hyperthermia, weakness, psoriasis, chills, and excessive sweating.
To protect your legs from arthritis or arthrosis, it is important to exercise. Any moderate load on the legs will help reduce body weight, strengthen muscles, and increase blood circulation. So, don't forget to exercise in the morning, go for a run or sign up for a fitness class. However, everything must be done within your capabilities, without overstraining your joints. Water exercises have a good effect on your legs, because in water the load on the joints is significantly reduced. Thus, it is very beneficial to go to the pool at least twice a week.
These leg problems make it impossible for ladies to wear miniskirts. You have to make do with jeans and trousers. As a rule, such an unpleasant prospect threatens women over the age of 30. Most often it is provoked by hereditary predisposition, hormonal changes in the body and excess weight.
Since cellulite does not hurt or particularly bother you, many women turn a blind eye to it, considering it only a problem with the appearance of their legs. But the point is not that advanced cellulite is very unattractive, but that it is dangerous to health. The accumulation of fatty deposits provokes metabolic disorders, accumulation of toxins, decreased immunity and the occurrence of inflammatory processes in the body.
A misconception is that to solve the problem it is enough to exercise or go on a diet. Medicine has long established that cellulite tissue decreases with diet several times slower than regular fat. As for physical exercises, they have little effect on developing cellulite. But they are very effective as a preventative measure.
If you constantly do physical exercise, you can protect yourself from the formation of fatty deposits and keep your skin elastic. It is also important to monitor your diet: eat less fat and carbohydrates and more protein. It is also recommended to take up swimming and visit the pool at least a couple of times a week.
Dry or rough skin is a consequence of the soap used in hair removal. The skin loses its elasticity and firmness, and also begins to peel off. Another problem is rough and cracked heels. The reason for this defect lies in the frequent wearing of closed shoes. This leads to the skin of the feet either sweating or drying out. The good news is that rough skin does not cause significant harm to health. At the same time, it spoils the entire aesthetic effect.
After depilation and if necessary, use a moisturizing foot cream. Lotions with chamomile extract help a lot. As few hot baths as possible. Products containing zinc, fatty acids and vitamins A and E are beneficial for the skin. Baths will help to improve and maintain the health and beauty of the heels.
Here is the recipe for one of them: warm water + sea salt (2 tbsp) + ether (a few drops). Keep your feet in this bath for a quarter of an hour, and then rub your heels with a pumice stone. Wipe them dry, lubricate them with nourishing cream or oil and put on soft socks.
Another type of foot problem, a possible cause of foot deformities is wearing inappropriate shoes or high heels. Women over 45 years of age are usually at risk. But young ladies who walk in narrow and high shoes are also unprotected from such a problem.
If at first protruding joints do not particularly bother women, over time they begin to cause discomfort. For example, there is pain when walking or heaviness in the legs. And the most unpleasant thing is that it is impossible to get rid of the “bump”; you can only slow down the deformation of the foot with the help of orthopedic insoles. And the most advanced version can only be corrected by a surgeon.
The first thing you need to do is give up high heels, stilettos, or at least wear them less often. In Europe, women have long abandoned fashionable shoes and wear them only to go out, thanks to which foot problems disappear.
The list of prohibited shoes also includes ballet flats, sandals and flip-flops that have flat soles. Flat shoes lead straight to flat feet, which leads to serious problems with the spine. Flat shoes do not support the foot and the load on it is not distributed correctly. In addition, your favorite summer ballet flats, sandals or flip-flops can strain the arches of your feet, which can lead to inflamed joints.
Preventive measures include the correct selection and use of shoes, wearing special insoles. The right solution would be to switch to low heels or wedges.
This disease in Eastern medicine is associated with the disease of cold, which has descended into the lower part of the body. Cold - a combination of wind and mucus (vata and kapha) in various proportions - is primarily a lack of blood circulation. Excess mucus can be manifested by “viscous, fatty” blood, which is simply difficult to move freely through the vessels, excess wind – insufficient elasticity, fragility of blood vessels. Mucus is high kapha, even despite other high doshas. Kapha diseases are treated very well by regular physical activity.
One of the most effective remedies in the treatment of this disease is products containing potassium and magnesium, which will improve the elasticity of the vascular wall. It is necessary to include in your diet foods that have mild diuretic properties - corn, barley, rice, celery, carrots, parsley, coriander, pomegranate, cranberries, legumes (recommendations are general, check with the list of products recommended for your condition - there may be contradictions). Strong diuretics are not recommended, as long-term use weakens the kidneys.
Since varicose veins often cause blood to be thicker than usual, include blood-thinning products (also check the list of products recommended for your condition first - there may be conflicts). Increased intake of plain water helps thin the blood (not suitable for kapha swelling) - “Drinking regimen in Ayurveda.”
Healthy foods include olive oil, ginger, lemon, orange, pomegranate, figs, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, red currants, garlic, beets, artichokes, and sunflower seeds.
From plants : Kalanchoe, nettle (tinctures orally), chestnut (tincture orally, oil and cream for massage - see below).
Ginger (if there is no high pitta) with honey and apple cider vinegar (if there are no problems with the thyroid gland) accelerates the blood in the veins well: you need to take 300 g of grated ginger for 1 kg of honey. It is also recommended to take 1 tbsp. l. honey and 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar for 1 glass of water 2 r. in a day.
Another Ayurvedic recommendation is to drink ? With. l. aloe juice in 10 minutes. before meals with a pinch of ginger powder and a pinch of cardamom seeds (or the contents of 2 boxes). You can drink for a long time, for 2 months, then take a 2-week break and continue until the symptoms of varicose veins disappear. Cardamom and ginger will restore blood circulation; ginger strengthens the walls of blood vessels, increasing their elasticity. Aloe will help prevent possible inflammatory reactions (aloe has contraindications).
This composition acts gently but effectively, does not overload the body with “chemicals”, and is allowed for allergy sufferers and pregnant women (according to some Ayurvedic specialists, the majority believe that it is better to abstain from aloe during pregnancy)
Figs in any form - fresh, boiled in water or milk: for varicose veins, it is recommended to eat as much of it as possible, if there are no concomitant diseases - diabetes, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and gout. For those who count calories, large quantities of figs may not be suitable.
Thicken the blood : sugar, buckwheat, bananas, potatoes, white bread, alcohol, sweet foods, fatty protein foods, smoked meats, pickles, carbonated drinks, yarrow, St. John's wort.
Strengthen and tone blood vessels: horse chestnut, nutmeg (see below), ginseng root (for cotton wool - in small quantities), ginger, garlic.
Among the Ayurvedic drugs - gotu kola/brahmi, gokshura, guggul (some varieties, depending on other problems), shilajit, ready-made Ayurvedic drugs (only some names are given, without considering the specific situation, since there are contraindications, not all drugs are suitable for certain conditions).
Problems with the legs should be considered not only as an imbalance of the doshas, but also as insufficient blood circulation (blood flows poorly from the legs back to the heart), the walls of the veins of the lower extremities are thin and weak, venous valves are poorly developed or destroyed due to inflammation of the veins (more on this in the next article “What to do with varicose veins?”).
Ayurveda alone cannot cope with this. A massage is desirable that is aimed at stimulating blood vessels and deep kneading the muscles, similar to a sports massage (there are videos on the Internet with excellent qigong self-massage for varicose veins).
Bicycling, swimming, exercises (imitation of cycling), capillary gymnastics according to the Maya Gogulan method, exercises aimed at increasing endurance and strengthening muscles (not strength training, but cardio exercises) are the best means. If everything is done correctly, the muscles will be the “holders” of the vascular walls.
In order for these venous valves to work correctly, you can perform a very simple but extremely effective exercise: while lying down, pull your toes towards your face and your heels away from you. All. The results are better than when taking tablets and ointments - as the natural movement of blood flow improves. You can find a video on “varicose veins” by rehabilitation doctor Peter Popov. It shows well how to do this simple exercise.
From the Japanese system of general health - rise on your toes and forcefully fall on your heels - 50 times. Do it as often as you can. Activates the kidney channel (the urge to urinate comes immediately).
In Japan, gymnastics for the elderly is also known - this is walking on heels , often walking backwards and forwards with the heels driven into the ground. Walking backwards may not always be convenient. Walk normally, just plant your heel firmly. The results will be noticeable soon. You can walk like this on the way to work or to the store - almost unnoticed by others. 15 minutes a day is enough for the kidney channels to function better. Improvements are especially noticeable after performing this exercise for varicose veins. It is clear that when walking with heels, shoes must be appropriate.
Also, from the eastern healing systems - lightly tapping the calves with bamboo sticks (this is not the common so-called “Creole body massage with thick bamboo sticks), just lightly tapping the calves from bottom to top.
Walking on stairs (several openings a day) helps open the valves. Replace taking the elevator with walking. If you work in a high-rise building, march a little during your break. Take every opportunity to properly load the blood outflow valves.
Ordinary recipes from everyday life:
– always sleep with a bolster or pillow under your feet, so that your legs are higher than your head – there is an outflow of blood from the legs, which gives heaviness in the morning. When relaxing - watching TV, reading - not only put your legs higher, but simply rest them at 90 degrees on the wall.
You can use a gymnastic ball . When reading or watching TV, placing your feet on the ball turns out to be very high, better than when placing bolsters. You can also massage your calves with this ball - as if “walking” while lying down, slapping your calves on the surface of the sword - a very pleasant activity that gives a soft massage to your ictas and leading to the outflow of blood in the veins.
apple cider vinegar several times a day gives excellent results The result will not be immediate, but very noticeable. If there are no problems with the thyroid gland, then apple cider vinegar is good to take internally. It strengthens the walls of blood vessels.
Tinctures made from nutmeg work well (the nut is sold in the spice section of grocery stores and on the websites of Ayurvedic companies). It is better to buy it in ground form, since it is impossible to grind huge hard nuts at home. Tinctures of vodka, alcohol, and oil are made from nutmeg and used to lubricate veins. The same goes inside. The grated nut is infused with vodka and drunk for a long time. 200 g of nut per liter of vodka are infused for 10 days. Drink 20 drops three times a day. By the way, nutmeg taken at night? ch.y. with warm milk is a wonderful sleeping pill.
But you need to be careful with nutmeg, it is used to stop diarrhea, and under normal conditions can cause constipation. In this case, you need to carefully monitor your bowel movements.
Horse chestnut is considered the best traditional medicine Decoctions, alcohol tinctures, and oil tinctures are made from chestnut (inflorescences, fruits and leaves have a weaker effect). Apply internally and externally. Chestnut is sold in the herbal section of health stores, but very rarely (or through online stores). Chestnut is included in all known ointments and creams for varicose veins. Ointments from large pharmaceutical companies are quite expensive and cannot be purchased everywhere. Oil solutions and water decoctions prepared at home make an excellent cream for veins, which you can always prepare at home. Those who have done this are delighted with the cream made from horse chestnut inflorescences.
The technology is simple: chestnuts are collected with your own hands/bought in an online store, infused with oil, a thick water infusion is prepared from some of the inflorescences, wax and glycerin are added, everything is kept in a water bath, stirring). Recommended proportions: pour chestnut inflorescences with any vegetable oil 1:10, that is, 1 tbsp. spoon of chestnuts for 10 tablespoons of oil, leave for 12 days. Then boil in a water bath for 30 minutes.
A thick infusion is prepared from the same inflorescences and used in the preparation of cream as a water base. It would be nice to add vitamin K in liquid form to this cream, but it is almost impossible to buy. You can add a few drops of cypress and juniper essential oils to this cream (best).
Essential oils of rosemary and mint also work well (remember the minimum doses of essential oils - everything is measured in drops). There are a lot of recipes and videos for making cosmetic creams on the Internet (don’t ask me - I’m not an expert in making creams, I just gave directions on how to proceed). The main thing is to maintain the proportions of the oil and water base. Well, and all the rest of the technology. If the condition is critical, and the person really needs it, he will find chestnut inflorescences and boil the cream
Simply rubbing chestnut with alcohol tincture - the veins disappear before your eyes. This is not such an “oily” activity as applying a cream. You need to rub it as often as possible. It is better to store the bottle in the bathroom, next to your toothbrush (so as not to forget, and then it turns out that you will smear and massage the veins at least 2 times a day (do not forget - you need to massage from the ankles up, helping the blood flow upward).
The proportions of the prepared tincture are by eye; the more concentrated (within reasonable limits) the better. Leave for 2-4 weeks. It is good to take foot baths with chestnut oil: dilute 40 grams in 2 liters of warm water (40°C). chestnut oil. After the bath, insulate your feet with a woolen cloth for 1 hour. Compresses are also good. Dilute 30 grams in 1 liter of warm water (40°C). chestnut oil. Soak gauze in this mixture and wrap your feet for 1 hour or even overnight.
Compress with tea tree oil: 1 liter. water 5 drops of tea tree oil. A thermal compress (therapeutic bandage), both cold and hot, is made from several layers of gauze and a layer of cotton wool placed between them. In this case, the legs should be raised up, the shins should be at least 30-40 cm above the pelvic area, and the compress should be tightly wrapped around the legs with a bandage. The duration of the procedure is 30 minutes, repeat 2 times a day.
For varicose veins, a honey-salt application also works well . Mix 1 tbsp. l. coarse salt 200 g honey. Apply the mixture to the skin of the legs in a thin layer in the areas of diseased veins. Cover with parchment paper (it is not recommended to use cellophane film), wrap with a bandage. Keep the compress for 2 days, then take a break for 1 day. The course of treatment is 10 procedures. Take a break. Repeat if necessary.
(can be with chestnut cream)
Lie down with your feet above your head. Stagnant blood from the veins will drain, and self-massage will be more effective. Using soft, enveloping movements of your palms with closed fingers, stroke your shins from ankles to knees – 8-10 times. The next technique is rubbing. Rub the shin with the heels of your palm in a circular motion. Walk thoroughly 8-10 times along the shin from bottom to top. Now stroke the shin again, but harder - as if you are squeezing out excess blood from the veins. Position your palm so that your thumb is on one side of your shin and the other four on the other. Remember how to knead dough? Using exactly the same movements, carefully stretch your lower leg muscles from bottom to top 3-4 times. Finally, stroke your shins.
Self-massage and qigong exercises also work great (there are many videos on this topic on the Internet).
, the application of copper helps blood circulation very well . In “grandmother’s” recipes they advise using nickels from a specific year. Finding them is impossible. Finding just a copper plate and then successfully placing it under your foot is also not an easy task. What you can do is make a flexible device from wire. Copper wire of different diameters is sold in hardware stores. From this wire you can wind (snail-like, from the middle) a plate similar to an insole, or wrap a finished insole. It is clear that you won’t go far with such an insole, so you can only use these insoles at home, you can put them in your sock at night.
It must be remembered that Ayurveda works well to prevent problems. And when the problem has already manifested itself (for example, in the form of varicose veins), then in such cases official medicine with its medications (such as various gels for veins) works faster. Those. You can quickly relieve symptoms with these medications, and then select a diet and medications that suit your condition.
You need to understand that you should not expect an immediate cure. Almost all the time you will need to maintain the tone of the blood vessels in your legs . It's like brushing your teeth in the morning. In the same way - daily lubrication of the veins with the above means, periodic wraps and compresses. And you will live your whole life with beautiful legs!
One of the main causes of varicose veins is psychosomatic. Usually legs are an indicator of an internal state of confidence. Not only in himself personally, but in any area - a person seems to be unsteadily standing on his feet in this area (mentally). Problems of personality suppression can come from childhood - from authoritarian parents. Also, a psychosomatic cause may be a dominant partner in the family, less often in the professional sphere. There is a pressing feeling that nothing can be done and the veins are popping out - like a protest, problems are “crawling” out.
Confident people do not have varicose veins. Just look at successful managers - they always have smooth legs (they are confident in themselves). I've met in life - there was an insecure person, bullied by loved ones. Health problems (varicose veins are on the mandatory list). And suddenly - a business went very well, or a very successful marriage for an insecure woman. A short time passes, but there are no varicose veins. The person seems to be saying, “I felt confident on my feet. Problems don’t come out of me anymore.” Neither Ayurveda nor traditional medicine can cure psychosomatic illness. As soon as the problem is removed from the human brain, the disease disappears from the physical plane.
YOU NEED TO REMEMBER that varicose veins cannot be cured once and for all. But you can keep your veins in very good condition. True, this is - almost until the end of life - exercises, rubbing. Like morning toilet. We took a shower and rubbed our veins. And until the evening. In the evening - the same thing. Therefore, all kinds of rubbing products should be stored next to toiletries. Bottles with infusion are in a visible place in the kitchen (otherwise you will forget).
Varicose veins often occur together with “Hemorrhoids” and “Prolapse of internal organs”. These 3 diagnoses have one thing in common – connective tissue weakness.
And now I’ll tell you a big secret - without any products, drugs or rubbing, you can keep your veins in normal condition - with the help of Yoga. Continuation of the topic in the note: What to do with varicose veins?
