An article in Expert describing the situation in the Russian machine tool industry.
It’s interesting how difficult it is to bring the industry to life - the higher it is in the level of processing (and few things are higher than the machine tool industry), the more difficult it is to breathe life into it.
In simple competition, the rich competitor wins. In a politically motivated struggle, consistent protectionism is required, the idea of which was arrived at very gradually in the 90s. What happened.
We did it ourselves. With my own hands. And what we did is probably the worst thing we could do for our industry. We destroyed the domestic machine tool industry. Almost completely. The volume of production of metalworking machines in 2010 compared to 1990 collapsed twenty-five times, and the share of Russian manufacturers in the domestic market dropped below ten percent. The attitude of the early 1990s, “let’s sell oil and buy what we need on foreign markets,” deprived the industry of its future.
In addition, I note that the same problem is in the section not even “machines”, but “tools”.
Well, what prevents you from doing it in Chinese? If fellow foreigners want to sell machine tools in China, then at a certain volume, be kind enough to organize assembly production, increasing the volume - design bureaus in which at least 50% of the Chinese should work.
It worked for the Chinese.
The volumes there are tens of times greater than ours. Our foreigners will simply refuse such an offer.
Well, what the heck with them then? Firstly, our machines will remain. Secondly, those who have done business and production here will probably remain. As long as I remember there were screams and groans when Chevrolet left our market. And nothing, now they sit and bite their elbows for sure
In Germany, of course, not all, but many machine tool companies are relatively small enterprises - several hundred people and their production volumes are not very large compared to DMG or ThyssenKrupp. But the temptation will be great. It is more likely that no one set this task. For Germans, legal stability and investment guarantees are very important. And the Italians are second in exporting machine tools to the Russian Federation. You can let them compete with each other.
Only 2 points are not noted here.
1. The modernization of the military is ending. Those. There will no longer be demand from the military inside Russia, at least not as intense.
2. The capacity of the domestic commercial market is insignificant. And it’s unclear what to do with all this.
I don't agree with the second point. They haven’t even tried to exhaust the domestic market yet.
There is a gigantic need to update the transport infrastructure - in the Russian Federation there are a lot of places where there are no roads, but only directions, the same applies to aviation, especially small aviation, water transport - road equipment, trucks, boats, barges, ships - and these are all machines, machine tools, machine tools and factories.
The infrastructure of buildings and structures - 80% was built during the USSR and older, but it actually has a service life limit - and this entails their demolition and re-construction, i.e. metal structures, building and finishing materials, construction equipment - and this is all again machine tools and production lines. Now, for the most part, they are all foreign - German, Japanese, American, and even Chinese. Russian - minuscule.
Take any manufacturing sector in the Russian Federation - energy, transport, healthcare - a very large amount of foreign equipment. Substitute as much import as you want!
Do it, comrades, Russian designers and production workers, work, brothers! - it will be of good quality, with normal service and on attractive terms with government support (installment loan, for example) - they will buy it and how. And do not give installment plans for the purchase of imported equipment and do not set special credit rates. Wattaquat.
And the Russian state, like the Chinese one in due time, should take the most active part in all this - first of all, financing and control of the tasks being solved.
How did the Chinese in Shenzhen do electronic manufacturing? Schematically: a party worker arrived who supervised this issue at the very top of the CCP. They gathered local entrepreneurs, many of whom had no knowledge of electronics, and said: The Party has set the task of mastering the production of electronics. You make boards, you and you, and that one over there - do the development and installation, these and those - make cases, wiring and other things necessary. They will send you key personnel, train workers, and give you money. Your task is to maintain the planned production volumes and employment in five years; if these parameters are maintained, government loans will be forgiven. Profit is the tenth thing.
And it took off. There is something to learn from the Chinese, yes.
Within the framework of the “development” model, focused on the export of low-value resources (and its launch was the main goal of the West during perestroika), no other result could have happened.
Why laugh. The West needs colonies that supply resources and in return receive a bunch of beads and offshore accounts for the “chosen” Indians.
The clowns, who hastened to deny communism, for some reason forgot about imperialism, but it has not gone away.
The CPSU made a number of mistakes, but this did not in any way abolish imperialism and the motivation driving it.
There is still an opportunity to fix everything. And without revolutions. The very logic of circumstances and industrial development invariably leads to this. The whole question is whether we will use it or not.
There is an idea to “appoint” some defense plant as a manufacturer that has free capacity and the necessary competencies, but in order for these systems to be competitive, they must be mass produced.
The most correct idea. Military-industrial complex factories will never produce consumer goods normally, but machine tool manufacturing is a completely different matter. And then it is possible to initially organize the production not of individual machines, but of entire “digital factories” as production complexes. Moreover, it should be organized on a very large scale and at the most modern level. A level that ensures the initial integration of all “digital factories” into a single network for managing industrial production throughout the country. Ensure full integration from the start.
Everything is great, I am for import substitution, but I didn’t see anything in the article regarding a very simple parameter - price/quality/functionality/service ratio. How is this situation with our machines, with Chinese ones (namely, they, and not the Germans, are now in trend), with Korean, Japanese, and so on. I’m afraid this is where the dog rummaged, and not in some kind of “marketing”.
///We destroyed the domestic machine tool industry/// OMG, Why did you do this?
So it was fashionable to destroy everything! No problem! We will bring everything from the West 100 times better! The main thing is to defeat communism! (c) Chubaiser. And in order to win, you have to destroy everything.
Well, now something might be born in the throes.
I, personally, did not destroy anything, but even increased it, although I am far from the machine tool industry, I know one director of the machine tool industry. The apathy of the directors/careerists/sycophants who were left without a nanny party destroyed everything, because with their heads they could only shout “Glory!” and nothing more. So, “we destroyed” is the cry of an impotent manager who wants to get lost in a crowd of the same impotents . Everyone is responsible for themselves.
There is no need to blame it on ordinary plant directors. It’s as if they were given complete carte blanche, but they just screwed it up.
And what was taken from them? Poor machines produced for decades, exact copies of machines that were destroyed by the Luddites? No! They stayed with them. And who gave carte blanche to whom anyway? Did they give it to you? They didn’t give it to me, I don’t know anyone who did. But I know many who cut factories for scrap and bought Merindo-Berenets.
Why did Chubais destroy Nitol as soon as he began to produce normal products specifically FOR THE NEXT REDITION, which they began to purchase in Japan?
Article title from "Expert" (source) : Take yours
RUSSIAN BUSINESS / MACHINE BUILDING Russian machine tool manufacturers have been trying for several years to regain the positions lost in the 1990s in the domestic market. But a serious breakthrough has not yet been achieved
Ukrainian copy-paste headline : One of the consequences of defeat in the Cold War
Well, why do that? Not for the sake of argument, but just interesting.
Are the machines again being compared head-on, without taking into account their characteristics?
When will they understand the harm of raw material exports? And localization should be understood much more broadly - made entirely in Russia but with the help of foreign equipment? - It's still an import tax. I have already written many times how to technically implement this.
Here again the fish is pennies. Every day.
“Substitute as much as you want with imports.” This is not so, the sales market is very narrow, it will not last long, the manufacturer of any serious machine tools in a few years will be faced with a lack of demand for its products within the country. and in foreign markets we will a priori lose the competition in terms of price/quality.
Either the country is tightly closing its market to external players (for equipment, lubricants, and software), or in the current paradigm we are doomed to the absence of machine tool construction, and its critical parts for the military-industrial complex will always be subsidized by the state, and heavily subsidized.
For example, machines for cutting and edging laminated chipboards. Theoretically, nothing complicated, but all the equipment, all the lubricants and coolant, all the software, all the service centers, all the cutting tools are not ours either, everything is already organized, fast, cheap, everything is included in the price of the product. No businessman will ever risk an established business scheme just for patriotic reasons. He can buy domestic products only when it is completely impossible to buy simple, understandable, and guaranteed imports. Only elves can not believe in this.
Moreover, our lag in technology is enormous and has been going on since pre-war times. A serious breakthrough was made after the war on the basis of captured technologies and equipment. This was enough for a year until 1955, then stop again. Or recall “oil for pipes”, “KAMAZ” and “VAZ”, which were practically purchased in full, we even bought “Siemens” and “Mistral” trains, although it seems that almost or completely the military-industrial complex. Buy technology? You know, I don't believe it. They won't sell. Like Opel, for example. They will just say “no” and that’s it.
I'll say it again. We have always lagged behind technologically, we essentially shortened the distance only in the period 1929-1955 (I wonder what this is connected with?)), in 1955 we reached somewhere around 35-36 percent of the military-industrial potential in the world, then the rollback began again. Yes, there were industries where everything was leadership either at the atom level, space, partly the military-industrial complex. But the commercial industries have always been in the red. Look at home tools, at cars, at passenger planes, after all. The reasons are still the same. Low profit margin in comparison with Western companies, which is related to the volume of the sales market, climate and logistics (as well as the Cyrillic alphabet and our GOST standards). The rest is lyrics. There are sources that analyze many factors, ranging from the number of Nobel Prizes in the natural sciences to the number of scientific publications, engine power per employee in the industry, capital productivity, etc. All those indicators that we began to cancel with the light hand of N.S. Khrushchev. For example, Khanin, “Economic History of Russia” in three volumes. I recommend.
Here, from my point of view, there are several thorny paths.
1. Forcing technologically developed countries (Germany first of all) to integrate as fully as possible (through energy, through, ideally, something like a Customs Union from Lisbon onwards).
2. Buy/steal/capture an industry with the most complete set of technologies, and then, having “puppeted”, develop it with the possibility of your own improvements. A specific example is the nuclear industry. Wild money, bloody snot of the whole country, and as a result technological leadership in n years.
There is a third way - developing your own, completely new industry with its subsequent development. For example, computers, the same atom, the same Internet. Or, if we are talking about machine tools, the development of fundamentally new methods of processing materials and manufacturing parts (3D printers, for example). But this is absolutely fantastic.
I’m pretty tired of articles like this every day, to be honest.
Sorry for the uneven handwriting.
This is not fantasy at all. There are also quite decent prospects. http://fea.ru/compound/national-technology-initiative/#fof But it requires a change in the production organization model. It’s just that all state production becomes a single complex, and regardless of ownership of specific means of production. In fact, the market also disappears, since in conditions of complete integration market relations lose their meaning. In an integrated industry, optimal solutions are always limited and predictable. And yes, additive technologies are the production basis here. These are not only industrial 3D printers, these are additive technologies and composites as a basis. But the most interesting thing is that in this case there is no need to close; on the contrary, you need to create open production platforms that attract the best brains from all over the world. Import brains and export products. It is quite possible to organize this. And very little is required.
This is not so, the sales market is very narrow, it will not last long, the manufacturer of any serious machine tools in a few years will be faced with a lack of demand for its products within the country. and in foreign markets we will a priori lose the competition in terms of price/quality.
At the end of the seventies, our machine tool industry was putting pressure on Western markets both in price and quality.
And if not for the extraordinary measures of Western artificial market regulators to limit trade with the USSR, the entire Euro-American machine tool industry would have been crushed to hell, along with the Japanese one. The only thing we were lagging behind was high-precision machines. But even then by the mid-90s this issue would have been resolved.
As for market volumes. Our machines were produced in large quantities and because of this they were of high quality and cheap. Large-scale production has one vulnerable point - the so-called “profitability point.” If the demand for your products falls below this point, then production ceases to generate profits.
The USSR’s mistake was that it relied exclusively on large-scale production.
But this problem was gradually corrected. Already in the 1980s, an effective formulation of the problem was developed for the development of small-scale production in the machine tool industry, for those types of machine tools where large volumes of production were not required.
and this program began to be implemented, but not within the Ministry of Machine Tool Industry, but in the sectoral ministries of the “nine” or in the automobile industry. That is, the machine tool industry developed a basic model, and it was adapted locally.
The machine tool industry itself developed a standard model of small-scale production of special machines for other ministries, and even produced some of the special machines in small series.
there were, of course, their difficulties, but they were still surmountable at that time.
Now there is an opportunity to repeat all this at a new technological level. It is the scientific heritage of the USSR that still allows this to be done.
The scientific heritage of the USSR is increasingly moving away from us into a pink fog. Gradually it becomes a myth.
Of course, it can be repeated, but this requires a targeted government program that invests not in the production of copies of imported machines, and not in screwdriver production, but in R&D.
— Experienced production center ENIMSA
— Experienced production center of Orgstankinprom
— Stankin production site
— Typical machine-tool technical school — with a carefully selected training program
— Well, Stankoimport should be renamed Stankoexport.
This is how you look in twenty years. By the way, if instead of a board of honor you just put a wall, it will be faster.
Sergei Khrushchev told a very revealing story in this regard in his memoirs. The American air-to-air missile Sidewinder, which was far superior to similar Soviet missiles, fell into the hands of the Soviet authorities. It was decided to copy it. However, the sample was missing a very important part - the sensitive element of the head. “The principle of its operation was no secret, but when organizing production, the plant encountered extreme difficulties. The marriage rate exceeded ninety-nine percent (!!). We fought for a long time, nothing helped. They decided to create a competent commission of scientists, production workers and administrators; they were tasked with figuring it out and finding a way out of the crisis. The commission met for a long time, scrutinized the technology, listened to dozens of proposals and hundreds of complaints. The electronics engineers nodded at the mechanical engineers - there was no necessary equipment. We went to the machine builders, they cited low-quality metal: you couldn’t make anything better from what they were supplied with. The metallurgists just threw up their hands - the ore is coming in of such quality that you can say “thank you” for that too. The mining industry cited the poor quality of ore processing equipment supplied by the mechanical engineering industry. The circle is closed. The problem turned out to be insoluble.
Yes, we also had similar things, but there were many, many times fewer of them.
The circle is closed. The problem turned out to be insoluble.
The problem of massively copying the American seeker turned out to be insoluble, so just three years later the production of a seeker head of its own design, using its own technology and with much better performance, was launched.
What a shame it was for Sergei Nikitich that dad couldn’t even copy corn from the Americans.
Some say that the machines have made, others that they are ready to buy Russian ones, the government tells fairy tales about import substitution and issues decrees and decisions that do not work.
I didn’t see any prospects in the article, alas, the main fault lies with the government and it looks like nothing will change in the future
A good article could have appeared if not for a number of ideological fakes that are embedded in its content.
We did it ourselves. With my own hands. And what we did is probably the worst thing we could do for our industry. We destroyed the domestic machine tool industry. Almost completely.
The destruction of Soviet mechanical engineering was a carefully planned sabotage, in which the main role of the attacking side was assigned to the Germans. Leading factories and development centers were bought up for vouchers with Caucasian money that came from God knows where. At the same time, so-called “joint ventures” were created, the purpose of which was to stop the production of domestically produced machines, and to expand trade in foreign equipment at the sites. By the way, it was precisely according to this scheme that the Sergo Ordzhonikidze plant was destroyed.
But this was only the first stage. At the second stage, the demand for machine tools in Russia fell so much that the need for “joint ventures” disappeared, and trade in clothes was launched on their premises, or logistics warehouses for vodka or the same imported goods were organized.
Then, roughly speaking, the Caucasians were shot by bandits who only needed the space occupied by the factories and their communications.
But the saddest thing is that this affected not only the factories themselves, but also the entire R&D system and personnel training system. It won’t take long to restore factories, but restoring engineering and scientific schools is very difficult. It only took the Soviet government 15 years from 1927 to 1942. Moreover, it was precisely on this that the main efforts of the then industry were then directed, and not at all on the quantitative accumulation of means of production in the industry, as many now think.
Let me give you a simple example: In 1942, in Moscow, from which the Nazis had just been driven away, the world's first assembly line for the production of new generation lathes was launched. Why in 1942? yes, because the plan for its launch was adopted for a five-year period in 1937 and no one canceled it. It was accepted and implemented exactly on time, a little more than six months late. For this delay, no one was even shot, but simply scolded and given a stern warning.
This is what an engineering school means, which, under the most inhumane conditions, allowed a warring country to launch mass production of world-class machine tools. It was the investment in science, technology and design that was made in the period from 1927-32 that made it possible to implement this project.
Now, as for why they now prefer to buy Western-made machines.
I think that it’s no secret to anyone that kickbacks are paid for them to the people who make decisions about their purchase. And this is another simple trick that the author of the article bashfully calls “Marketing Tool”.
The shortage of ordinary (low-precision) machines can even now be solved by a Chinese manufacturer. But no, they prefer to buy Chinese machines from us in Europe with the inscription made in Germany. so buy that if you “scrape” this machine, then mechanically it turns out to be a Soviet machine developed in the 50s.
Now as for the howl that usually accompanies such articles that the machines in the USSR were at the level of the machines that were destroyed by the Luddites. This is complete nonsense. Soviet machines were exported to the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan and were much cheaper than imported ones for only one reason: they were produced on an assembly line in huge quantities - like cars. For example, at the time of the ever-memorable creation of the German-Ordzhonikidze “joint venture,” the Germans visited the “Red Proletarian” plant, which was then located not far from the Ordzhonikidze plant. Yes, in fact, the “Ordzhonikidze plant” itself was once a branch of the “KP” plant and separated from it for completely correct structural reasons. The Germans who visited “KP” started to brag about their achievements, saying that they produce 700 (I don’t remember exactly, well, something like that) lathes a year. At one hundred KP workers smiled and replied that they produce the same amount, but in two weeks.
There was a real lag in the production of high-precision machine tools in the USSR. This was a consequence of the failed policy of either the Party or the government, which was carried out in relation to the machine tool industry in the 70s. But by the beginning of the 90s the situation began to improve. New types of bearings were mastered, spindles on hydrostatic supports were developed, which made it possible to do without bearings altogether and, at the same time, increase the processing accuracy tenfold. New standard tools (for example, sapphire cutters) and metal cutting technologies were developed. The construction of workshops with a vibration-controlled base and an artificial climate inside the workshop has begun.
All this was diligently and quite maliciously destroyed, along with the engineering school and personnel training system.
Now, if it has been preserved somewhere, it is only as fragments that will not come back together into the system.
Gout is one of the oldest diseases known to modern science. The main reason is considered to be disruptions in the process of purine metabolism, which leads to an increase in the volume of uric acid, which remains on the tissues of the musculoskeletal system, as well as on the surface of internal organs.
If the amount of uric acid in the body is higher than normal, this leads to insufficient breakdown and excretion of purine bases by the kidneys.
Remains of uric acid begin to concentrate in the joints of the legs and arms, soft tissues and kidneys, which provokes the development of arthritis and the appearance of tophi in the tissues. In addition, kidney stones may appear.
Gout has the following symptoms:
In acute gout, the main manifestation of the disease is an attack accompanied by inflammation of the joint. As a rule, the joints on the legs are affected - ankles, knees and big toes.
As a rule, a gout attack begins at night, the pain increases over about three hours. Sometimes there is swelling of the joint and characteristic redness of the skin. By morning the pain subsides, but with the onset of evening the discomfort returns.
During an attack of gout, not only pain may appear, but also chills with profuse sweating. This symptomatology persists for two or three days, and the total duration of unpleasant manifestations lasts about a week.
A repeated attack of gout appears after about 2-3 months; it can lead to an inflammatory process in other joints, which is characterized by their partial destruction.
Ignoring the disease is extremely undesirable; it is dangerous due to many undesirable consequences for human health.
Doctors recommend using the following for gout in order to alleviate the characteristic symptoms:
Hardware physiotherapy, which can be successfully used for acute gout, includes:
To improve the metabolism and microcirculation of joint tissues after eliminating acute pain, ultrasound treatment and laser therapy are used. The laser power should not exceed 20 mW.
Cold laser therapy, the BioFlex system, is widely used. For gout, laser is used to suppress microcrystalline arthropathies, which are common among older patients.
These people react more severely to the side effects of medications. Laser therapy not only shows its effectiveness, but also has no side effects.
In many countries of the world, including Russia, a variety of “home” physiotherapeutic devices are used to treat gout. Typically these are small devices that apply an alternating magnetic field to tissue. Well-known physiotherapy devices are Vitafon and Fonovit, created by a Russian manufacturer.
Device developers report that if there is a pathology of tissue cells, then there is a lack of natural biological vibrations, which the physiotherapeutic device provides.
Phonotherapy or microvibration therapy are methods of alternative treatment for joint diseases.
They are indicated to help reduce pain in the joints and spine after injuries and surgeries. At the same time, the instructions for the Vitafon device do not indicate its use for gout on the legs.
Treatment of gout in sanatoriums involves the use of the following methods:
Physiotherapy of the latter method is used only a few months after the acute phase of the disease.
Important factors in the effectiveness of therapeutic procedures during sanitary spa treatment are general relaxation and a positive attitude of the person.
Currently, there are no methods that would completely eliminate gout, however, in the treatment of the disease, the following types of balneological procedures are successfully used:
The listed types of balneology help improve lymph flow and blood flow in the affected tissues, thereby activating metabolic processes, which has a positive effect on joint mobility.
The condition of the joints is improved by the use of sea water and therapeutic mud. Nowadays there are a lot of spa therapy methods; a doctor can prescribe any of them, for example:
Treatment of gout is carried out in the sanatoriums of Berdyansk, where there is mud in the estuary on the Berdyansk Spit. There is a hospital near Odessa - near the Kulnitsky estuary, as well as in the Kherson region - on Lake Sivash.
In Transcarpathia, the disease is successfully treated in the sanatoriums “Beregovo”, “Sinyak” and “Bozhava”. In Crimea, there are sanatoriums in Evpatoria (Kalamitsky Bay). In Saki, on the salt lake, peloid therapy is carried out using brine and sulfide silt mud.
It is interesting to note that gout is one of the oldest diseases, first described by Hippocrates.
gout - the ancient philosophers Achilles and Oedipus, Alexander the Great, Henry VI, Cromwell, Cardinal Mazarin, Ivan the Terrible, Peter I, Michelangelo, Pushkin, Turgenev, Maupassant, Stendhal, Columbus, Newton, Charles Darwin. Geneticists even introduced such a concept - gouty geniuses.
The disease develops almost exclusively in middle-aged men. Arthritis of the joints of the lower extremities is usually observed with frequent involvement of 1 toe, ankle and knee joints. Less common is arthritis of the small joints of the hands and elbows. Gouty arthritis has characteristic features: it often develops at night, the intensity of pain increases very quickly and reaches a maximum within a few hours. The pain is usually very severe, movement in the joint becomes impossible, redness of the skin and increased temperature of the tissues over the joint are observed. Body temperature may rise. On its own or under the influence of treatment, arthritis subsides within a few days, leaving in most cases no residual changes. Factors that provoke an attack of gouty arthritis include: excessive consumption of foods rich in purine bases, mainly meat, alcohol, surgery, trauma, and taking diuretics. In 15-20% of patients with gout, urolithiasis occurs (an attack of renal colic can sometimes be the first sign of gout).
It turned out that the predominance of animal fats in food, obesity, a sedentary lifestyle, and smoking lead to complex metabolic disorders. And as a result - hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, cholesterol metabolism disorders and other ailments. Gout is one of them.
People with gout should not use aspirin or other salicylates. Be aware that over-the-counter medications containing aspirin may cause uric acid retention in the body and worsen gouty arthritis. Aspirin also reduces the effectiveness of anti-gout medications.
The consumption of animal protein should be limited - preferably no more than 1 time per week in the amount of 1 g per 1 kg of body weight, and in severe forms of the disease - 0.8 g.
Overfilling of liver cells with protein breakdown products leads to the accumulation of uric acid in the blood, which is then converted into uric acid salts in the body. Their deposition causes gout.
If you have gout, you should exclude fried meat, meat broths and soups, internal organs of animals, and wheat (even sprouted wheat) from your diet.
Limit the consumption of foods containing a large amount of purines: sorrel, Brussels sprouts, legumes, cocoa, coffee, spicy snacks, eggs, fish, milk.
Regularly consume lingonberries, red and black currants, cherries, strawberries, apples, as well as garlic tincture and knotweed herb infusion.

Fullflex for gout is one of the most popular remedies for this disease. Gout is a joint disease that occurs mainly in people between the ages of thirty-five and fifty. It is the result of arterial hypertension, alcohol abuse or obesity. The disease is characterized by an increased amount of uric acid in the blood and is divided into two types: acute and chronic.
In the first case, gout occurs without visible symptoms and makes itself felt only during attacks. The longer the disease remains untreated, the stronger and more frequent the attacks become. Due to the loss of uric acid crystals from the tissues into the cavity, their accumulation forms, resulting in inflammation of the joints.
Symptoms of a gout attack include restlessness, nervousness, loss of appetite, nausea and heartburn. Pain in the heart area, difficulty breathing, and increased blood pressure are also possible. This attack occurs unexpectedly, most often at night. It can last from several days to several weeks.
Any movement causes pain to the patient, weakness is felt, chills, fever appear, and heart rate increases. Recurrence of the attack occurs on average after 3-4 months.
Chronic gout is the next stage in the development of the disease. In this case, uric acids - tophi accumulate in the form of granules and often affect the kidneys. Tophi can have different locations: muscles, joints, skin, subcutaneous tissue, various areas of bones.
initial symptoms of chronic gout
The initial symptoms of chronic gout are joint stiffness, pain with normal activity, and a slight crunching sound when moving. Over time, it may become difficult for a person to move due to joint deformation. In the absence of necessary treatment for a long time, there is a risk of complete loss of functionality of the affected joint.
The most common means in the fight against gout are various ointments and capsules, the leader of which is the drug Fullflex. The modern product is developed taking into account the latest research and technology.
The medicine contains the most effective extracts of herbs and plants: horse chestnut, birch bark, willow bark, fir oil, eucalyptus oil and juniper. These ingredients have a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect, relieve pain and remove excess salts and acid.
Fullflex is a unique drug that, in addition to all of the above, can also reduce cholesterol levels.
It comes in two types - in the form of an ointment and in the form of capsules. The medicine for gout, Fullflex, is very easy to use. For adults, one capsule per day is enough, but it is not recommended for children under fourteen. It should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Before using Fullflex for gout, you should consult with your doctor, however, the medicine is safe and problems can only arise if the patient is individually intolerant to one or another ingredient included in the medicine. So the side effects of fullflex are minimized.
Fullflex gout ointment is also easy to use and is easily applied in a circular motion, helping to relieve inflammation and pain.

One of the most useful vegetable oils is flaxseed oil. No wonder its global production is growing from year to year. Can flaxseed oil be used for gout? How does it affect the body? Omega-3 fatty acids contained in it prevent the formation of compounds that cause inflammation and tissue damage. One of the main causes of gout is a deficiency of vitamin E, which causes the formation of excess uric acid, which gradually crystallizes and destroys the joints.
100 g of flaxseed oil contains 50 mg of this vitamin. The greatest benefit to the body will come from an unrefined, cold-pressed product. The oil must be fresh, because any rancid fat destroys vitamin E and provokes the development of gout. It can be stored in the refrigerator for no longer than 3-4 weeks.
During treatment, painkillers are not used simultaneously with it. The dose for an adult is 2 tbsp. l. in a day. You should take flaxseed oil in the morning on an empty stomach 30–40 minutes before meals and in the evening before bed. The first dose can be replaced with a glass of milk or low-fat fermented milk product with 1 tsp. oils It can be added to salads, cereals, cottage cheese, but you should not exceed the norm.
For medicinal purposes, flaxseed oil is used in capsules, obtained by cold pressing while preserving all heat-labile substances. The shell of gelatin and/or glycerin reliably protects it from environmental influences. How to take oil capsules? The daily value for adults is 14 mg. In the morning on an empty stomach 30–60 minutes before meals and in the evening before a light dinner, drink 2 capsules with a glass of warm water. It is useful in large quantities for gout. Vitamin C helps reduce uric acid levels in the body.
Manufacturers of flaxseed oil capsules enrich it with ascorbic acid, selenium, which enhances its effect, and other useful components.
It is advisable that a doctor recommend such a remedy to you and determine the duration of the course.
For gout, a decoction of flaxseed is used, which also has the property of reducing the synthesis of uric acid. 1 tsp. boil the seeds in ? glass of water, leave for 10 minutes, shake and strain. Drink 1 tbsp. l. 4–5 times a day. Prepare the product in small quantities, without leaving it for tomorrow. In folk medicine, there are many recipes for infusions that are effective for gout, where flax is combined with other plants. Here are some of them:

A study published in the American Journal of Arthritis and Rheumatism shows that eating cherries for two days reduced the risk of a gout attack by 35 percent. And the effect was even greater when cherries were consumed in combination with allopurinol, thereby reducing the risk of attacks by 75 percent.
The study included 633 people with gout, with an average age of 54 years, 78 percent of whom were men. Researchers tracked patients for one year and monitored how many cherries study participants ate two days before a gout attack. In this study, a serving was considered to be 10 to 12 cherries.
By the end of the study period, 1,247 gout attacks had been tracked. Among participants, 35 percent consumed fresh cherries, 5 percent consumed fresh cherries and extract, and 2 percent consumed just cherry extract.
