Why do varicose veins of the labia occur? Its symptoms, treatment and labor during the disease

Probably everyone knows what varicose veins are. In our understanding, these are swelling of the legs, large swollen veins, constant fatigue and “humming” of the limbs. However, there are other varieties of this disease, which is quite common among women. Varicose veins of the labia also occur.

It usually appears during pregnancy, in the last trimesters, when there is strong pressure on the uterus and pelvic floor.

If you look at varicose veins on the labia, in the photo, you can visually see deformed veins and protruding blood vessels. An aesthetically unpleasant sight also turns into a very sensitive symptom.

Often varicose veins of the labia are accompanied by other varieties: varicose veins of the legs or uterus. And it happens that the patient needs to be admitted to a hospital and monitor her condition around the clock, since she has two or more types of illness at once.

The first symptoms of varicose veins of the labia

Some of the warning signs about the occurrence of this disease are discomfort in the groin area, burning, pain during sex, itching, and even swelling. The feeling of discomfort worsens in the evening and at night, appearing mainly after physical exertion.

A burning sensation in the groin area, discomfort and even pain, hemorrhoids, the appearance of venous nodules that grow and increase in size - these are the first symptoms of varicose veins. Varicose veins of the labia with increasing stress or increasing pregnancy only become more painful, and its obvious signs become more and more visible.

Varicose veins are the terrible “plague of the 21st century.” 57% of patients die within 10 years of.

More nodules may appear, or the previously manifested ones may grow in size. Sometimes the disease reaches a point where the patient has difficulty walking and sitting.

How to treat varicose veins of the labia - optimal methods

If you develop varicose veins while carrying a child, then, alas, it is unlikely that you will be able to get rid of them before the birth itself. But the manifestations of this disease can be significantly dulled with the help of effective, and most importantly, correct medical treatment.

The doctor will select suitable medications for you that are safe for you and your child. The condition of the veins will improve significantly, and the first thing you will notice is that it will become easier to walk, the nodules in the groin will be less noticeable and painful.

Treatment of varicose veins of the labia is usually conservative - specialized underwear made from natural fabrics that do not compress the flesh, creams with anesthetic and drug therapy, which is selected purely individually.

A special position will reduce pain - position the body on the left side, knees bent and pressed to the abdominal cavity. If the pregnancy has exceeded 38 weeks, then it is better to avoid strong pressure on the tummy. During the therapeutic period, take care of yourself: do not carry things heavier than 3-4 kilograms, do not take high-temperature baths, and it is best to use a shower.

If varicose veins of the labia majora are associated exclusively with your “interesting position,” then be prepared to rejoice - after childbirth, the disease will disappear. But if this does not happen, then you need to additionally consult with specialists.

Childbirth with varicose veins of the labia is quite possible if you go through all the examinations and doctor’s appointments before it. As a rule, varicose veins are not a medical contraindication to a natural and, undoubtedly, wonderful phenomenon - childbirth. You just need to choose the right treatment to prevent the development of complications.

But there are obstetricians and gynecologists who oppose physiological delivery. They recommend having a caesarean section. This way, neither the mother nor the long-awaited baby will suffer. And the process itself will be less painful than trying to push the baby out on your own. In such a situation, everything can end completely unpredictably.

Take care of yourself, do not waste time - consult a doctor in a timely manner for advice if something bothers you.

Who gave birth with varicose veins?

Dear forum members! I have a problem that I can’t solve myself and therefore I really hope for your help. I am 29 years old, I am planning to have a child, but my health is not “ideal” - I have had varicose veins on my right leg since I was 22-***** (in my youth I played sports, perhaps because of this). My leg doesn’t hurt at all, I don’t even wear compression stockings. But the surgeon at the clinic greatly intimidated me with possible complications and recommended that I have surgery before my planned pregnancy. I went to the phlebological center, where the doctor just threw up his hands and said: “You can do it, or you can not do it, it’s up to you to decide” (that is, in principle, it is recommended to do it, but before pregnancy or after, he could not answer). And it's all! I’m more afraid of surgery than of childbirth! In addition, I heard that many women experience varicose veins for the first time during pregnancy (and that in general this is a related problem). It turns out that if I have a tendency, I will undergo surgery, but during pregnancy, varicose veins will appear again and I will have to undergo surgery again! In general, I decided to give birth first. Is this correct, has anyone had a similar problem and what can you recommend (specialized maternity hospitals in Moscow, etc.). And in general, what is it like to give birth with varicose veins? Thank you.

Author, you’d better ask who gave birth without varicose veins! Because by the time of childbirth, 99% of women have it, in an obvious or hidden form (on the internal organs of the pelvis).

give birth and don't be afraid of anything. The older the woman, the longer you wait, the more problems.

I had varicose veins, all my legs were covered in veins, they hurt, I put on an elastic bandage, otherwise I couldn’t sleep, during childbirth I forgot to say that I had varicose veins and nothing. I gave birth, the veins are a little deflated... if doctors don’t forbid giving birth (and this happens with varicose veins), then, of course, give birth. But then it will be problematic to operate, because... A small child needs care...

gave birth with varicose veins. After 5 years, the birth field was operated on. The veins came out again after 7 years, but less, of course. Now I’m thinking about surgery again, especially since there are now alternatives to conventional surgery.

Author, do not have surgery before pregnancy, there is no point, especially since the doctor does not insist.

Thanks everyone for your responses! Lady Vamp, I understand that pregnancy provokes varicose veins, I meant, did anyone have the same problem as me, that is, for varicose veins to develop long before pregnancy). 3, how come you “forgot to say” about varicose veins - didn’t the doctors notice this and you didn’t have anything indicated in your medical report? map and no one paid any attention at all. A friend of mine, who didn’t even have “mesh” on her legs before pregnancy, and who developed quite severe varicose veins during pregnancy, was literally shouted at by the doctors at the consultation, something like “how can you give birth with such veins in general,” when she was about to give birth? There were two weeks left. She gave birth safely, but I cannot understand why she had to say such a thing. I’m not forbidden to give birth (I didn’t even know that varicose veins could be a contraindication to pregnancy), but given the presence of varicose veins and the recent situation with a friend, I decided to consult someone. Boorish, what are the alternatives to “conventional” surgery? Sclerosis? Thank you all again!

varicose veins not only cannot be a contraindication to pregnancy, but varicose veins are also not an indication for cesarean section. Wrap your legs in bandages or put on compression and off you go!!

My varicose veins came out after 2 births.

The third time I was pregnant I wore tights, I gave birth normally, the veins were hidden, my legs really started to get tired.

And the 4th time I also had a pregnancy in a compr. tights and gave birth in stockings)). So beautiful.

The veins disappeared after childbirth.

that's all. Everyone is different.

I think it’s better for you to give birth first, and then do everything at once.

Anna, it’s hard to say how serious everything is with you, but since the doctors do not categorically prohibit giving birth, it means you will be able to carry it to term and give birth. Go through your entire pregnancy in compression garments, and you will give birth in special stockings for childbirth. Don't forget about prevention. The main thing is to keep an eye on this matter. Decide about the operation later. Moreover, you say that these varicose veins do not bother you, there is no pain, but here is a compress. Don’t wear stockings in vain (at least for the sake of the same prevention, so that it doesn’t get worse).

Don’t these stockings put pressure on your stomach? Still, you shouldn’t wear tight clothes during pregnancy. Pick up a cream or ointment for varicose veins, there are a lot of them in the pharmacy now. Good prevention to keep your feet healthy!

so what, Anna, did you get pregnant? I have the same problem. What to do?

It’s okay, indications for surgery, but after giving birth, already 26 weeks, my leg really hurts, it didn’t bother me before, but I think I’ll give birth myself

Hello, I have very strong varicose veins; giving birth is dangerous.

I’m 30 weeks pregnant, I have terrible varicose veins on my right leg, I wear a compression stocking and use Lyoton. But still, my legs swell a lot in the evening and it’s hard to walk. I did an ultrasound of the veins. The doctors said it would be a cesarean section, but I’m against it. I'm worried too.

Asel, how did you give birth? I'm having the same problem now. The gynecologist cannot decide what to do.

Pregnancy: what to do with varicose veins?

Varicose veins: causes, prevention, exercises, treatment

Bearing and giving birth to a child is a great joy and a lot of work. No one can predict in advance how the pregnancy will go and what the birth will be like. But every married couple expecting a baby has the opportunity to make the upcoming nine months of pregnancy the most memorable, the most exciting in their lives! You just need to make some efforts and survive possible (but optional!) difficulties with minimal losses.

This is what a series of articles by our regular author Olga Nikolaeva will be devoted to. We present to your attention the first material.

Varicose veins (Latin “varicis” - swelling in the veins) is a disease characterized by uneven enlargement of veins and thinning of the venous walls. It is observed mainly in women and often begins during pregnancy.

Why? Because it is at this moment in life, due to the enlargement of the uterus and the growth of the baby in it, the volume of blood circulating through the veins increases (by the end of pregnancy - twice) and, accordingly, blood pressure in the veins increases (primarily in the abdominal vein, pelvic vein and leg veins). In addition, an increase in the amount of the hormone progesterone can lead to weakening of the walls of blood vessels.

Moreover, the legs are not the only place where varicose veins can “pop up”: they can appear on the neck and, more unpleasantly, in the vagina. By the way, such a phenomenon as hemorrhoids (also sometimes accompanying pregnancy) is essentially varicose veins in the rectum.

From the history of the issue (very personal)

In the first two pregnancies, the problem of varicose veins passed me by. Like many others. Although I know firsthand many unpleasant and not very common details about her. So, one of my close relatives “missed” the so-called internal varicose veins (vagina), the woman at the age of 30 gave birth to her first child and experienced, to put it mildly, many unpleasant minutes during childbirth. The painful shock resulted in a nervous breakdown of such magnitude that the intervention of psychiatrists was required. This is the kind of related story that limited my knowledge about varicose veins.

During this third pregnancy, I inherited from a friend special tights for pregnant women - compression (70 den), very comfortable, pleasantly supporting the lower limbs. And, as it turned out, they came to me for a reason (such strange things happen!). Because after some time a slightly protruding blue ribbon of a vein was discovered on the inner surface of the left thigh (excuse the terminology).

At first I was very scared. And she examined herself almost twenty times a day - what if it popped up somewhere else? Then I rummaged through a mountain of literature and consulted in person and in absentia with numerous specialists. I would like to tell you about the results of my searches.

By the way, I noticed that recently the terms “varicose veins” and “varicose veins” are increasingly being replaced by the abbreviation “CVI” - chronic venous insufficiency.

About the prevention of varicose veins (very important)

If you do not have a hereditary predisposition, excess weight and varicose veins in the pre-pregnancy state, then it is not so difficult to avoid it during pregnancy. But with each subsequent pregnancy, the risk of varicose veins increases - you shouldn’t forget about this either.

  • Carefully choose comfortable, low-heeled shoes - the load on your legs and their veins will be minimal.
  • During pregnancy, get rid of stockings and socks with tight elastic bands. For preventive purposes, it is good to wear compression tights; the “most” preventive (not yet therapeutic) are 70 den tights and knee socks.
  • Contrast showers and swimming have a beneficial effect on the vessels of the extremities.
  • Train yourself to sleep only on your left side (the famous “crocodile position”): this type of rest will ease the pressure of the uterus on the vein on the right and reduce venous pressure in the lower extremities. It is very convenient to place a small pillow under your tummy.
  • Throughout the day, try to evenly distribute your body position in the standing-lying-sitting positions. There is no need to stand still for a long time, walk until exhausted, or lie on the couch for ten hours straight. Find a happy medium in a combination of active walking, sitting in a comfortable chair and resting in a horizontal position.
  • Learn another great habit - learn to sit so that the lower part of your thigh does not rest on the edge of the chair, that is, on the very edge of the chair. When the tummy grows significantly, this position will be the most comfortable (even if there are no varicose veins!).
  • Never sit with your legs crossed, especially on a low seat.
  • Avoid constipation! Drink 1.5-2 liters of healthy liquid per day - green tea, fruit juices, mineral water, vegetarian vegetable soups are suitable.
  • General health and mood during pregnancy, as always, play an important role. It seems to me that a calm attitude towards varicose veins as one of the possible features of this pregnancy is most optimal. Moreover, according to statistics, after some time (usually 3-5 months) after childbirth, in the vast majority of cases everything returns to normal.

Choose exercises for yourself based on how you feel and the duration of your pregnancy.

  • Sitting on a chair, bend your knees and lower your arms down. Inhale - stand up, exhale - sit down.
  • Standing, feet hip-width apart. Without lifting your toes off the floor, alternately bend your knees - first your right, then your left. Breathe calmly and rhythmically.
  • Standing, arms down, feet hip-width apart. Inhale - raise your arms up, exhale - lower your arms, putting your left leg forward. Then place your right foot towards it. Do the same, placing your right leg first.
  • Sitting on a chair and without lifting your heels from the floor, make circular movements with your feet.
  • Stand on your tiptoes, stay in this position for a few seconds, then lower yourself.
  • Stand on your tiptoes and walk around the room, to the bathroom or kitchen. Variations: Alternate between walking on your toes, walking on your heels, walking on the inside and outside of your feet. Do you remember your kindergarten years?
  • Sitting on a chair, legs together. Place them on your heels, then press your entire foot toward the floor. Don't move your heels! Repeat several times.
  • And the reverse exercise: sitting, feet completely on the floor. Lift your heels off the floor, lift them as high as possible, and then press your entire foot toward the floor.
  • While standing, while inhaling, stand on your toes and raise your arms up. As you exhale, lower your arms down and lower yourself onto your entire foot, bending your knees slightly.
  • Light dance movements have a good tonic effect on the vessels and veins of the legs. At least once or twice a day, move (switch from foot to foot) to rhythmic music.
  • Standing on your right leg (extend your left leg forward), rotate in a circle, first with your foot, then with your shin, then with your whole leg. Switch legs. Do the same by extending your “working” leg to the side. Option for the first months of pregnancy: do the exercise while lying on your back with your legs slightly elevated.
  • All exercises must be repeated 5-10 times, preferably several times a day.

If varicose veins are already with you (very special)

If you have suffered from varicose veins before, then while you are expecting a baby, the likelihood of an exacerbation of the disease is quite high. Varicose veins can cause you very noticeable inconvenience, and not only cosmetic ones. To minimize its consequences, you need to follow one rule - avoid increasing pressure in the legs.

  • Carefully monitor your weight during pregnancy: try not to gain weight “intermittently” or unevenly.
  • Take care of your veins: do not lift weights, do not take hot baths.
  • If possible, rest lying down every 2-3 hours with your feet resting on 2-3 small pads. For a good night's sleep, raise the foot end of the bed by 10-15 cm.

  • With the help of your doctor, select special compression tights (with a supporting effect) - 100, 140, 280 den. Always put them on in the morning before getting out of bed and wear them all day. Therapeutic stockings and tights give a good effect by reducing the venous “capacity” of the legs: the diameter of the vein decreases, as a result of which the speed of blood flow increases, the pressure in the tissues increases, which reduces the risk of edema and blood clots.
  • Some experts, as an alternative to compression tights, advise wrapping your legs with an elastic bandage, removing it only at night. The choice is best made under the guidance of a doctor. During childbirth, with varicose veins progressing during pregnancy, the presence of elastic bandages on the legs is also desirable, if not mandatory! Tell your obstetrician about your condition.
  • Pregnant women diagnosed with varicose veins are best observed in specialized centers. Take a referral to a phlebologist from your obstetrician-gynecologist. It is the phlebologist who will tell you which method of conservative treatment during pregnancy will alleviate your condition. It can be:
    • phlebotonics , tablets with a venotonic, vein-strengthening effect (for example, Detralex, Escusan, Ginkor-fort, etc.);
    • compression therapy , that is, the use of special medical therapeutic stockings or elastic bandages, which were already mentioned above;
    • local treatment in the form of special ointments and gels (for example, heparin-containing gel “Lioton-1000”, troxevasin ointment, etc.).
    • anticoagulants (blood thinners that prevent blood from clotting and forming a blood clot) are not used during pregnancy: their use can lead to labor and postpartum hemorrhage and placental abruption

If redness in the area of the varicose vein is very noticeable, severe pain is felt, the temperature rises, a rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath appears - call an ambulance immediately!

  • After childbirth, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the veins and, if necessary, carry out appropriate treatment using conservative or even surgical methods.
  • Some inconsistencies (very controversial)

If you have a hereditary predisposition to varicose veins, experts advise not to get too carried away with physical exercise, as this can lead to overload of the venous system: active and sudden movements are contraindicated. But how often does it happen? The doctor will say that excessive physical activity is undesirable, and we stop doing anything altogether - just in case. In the case of varicose veins, this is completely unjustified: properly selected physical activity, alternating rest and walking significantly improves the condition. Take walks every day, swim if possible, select a complex of physical therapy for pregnant women with varicose veins.

I also want to dwell on one simple but important exercise for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and preparing the perineum for childbirth - squatting with your legs spread wide apart. So it turns out that if you have varicose veins, this exercise is undesirable. It seems to me that if the situation is not critical, you should not deprive yourself of such important training. The main thing is to observe moderation. The same can be said about massage: an overly energetic foot massage is not needed, but pleasant, comfortable stroking will only be beneficial.

And perhaps the most controversial point concerns visiting the sauna. The very posing of such a question may seem strange to many during pregnancy - what kind of bathhouse, what are you talking about? No, no and NO! And with varicose veins it is generally contraindicated, any doctor will tell you that. Although in books about bath-saunas, often written by doctors, the first thing they say is that a sauna is an excellent vascular exercise; the contrast of temperature and humidity has a positive effect on the state of the body’s vascular system. Please note that contrast showers for varicose veins are strongly encouraged and promoted. And the sauna is prohibited. How to solve this dilemma? As always, based on common sense and how you feel at the moment.

How to give birth with symphysitis?

    Yurkevskaya Ekaterina Olegovna

Hello, Ekaterina! Since you are about to give birth to your second child, you probably yourself know that the opinions of doctors, and women in labor, too, when discussing the same issue can be completely opposite. Some doctors and mothers insist that the divergence of the symphysis pubis is an indication for a cesarean section, while others argue that it is quite possible to give birth on your own with symphysitis. Each woman’s body is a separate planet, and what is good, easy and simple for one, can be a great danger for another. To be convinced of this, it is enough to read numerous topics dedicated to childbirth and symphysitis on women’s forums.

Doctors may say that you are having a second birth and, provided that the weight of the fetus is small, the specialist leading you may change his opinion and give you the opportunity to give birth on your own. But doctors are still not gods, they can make mistakes in both cases, and no one can tell you the exact consequences of giving birth with a previously damaged symphysis pubis.

This diagnosis in itself is not an indication for cesarean section delivery. The indication is the divergence of the symphysis pubis to a distance greater than a centimeter. If the fetus is large, the pelvic opening is narrow, or the baby’s head is too strong, then the symphysis may be damaged during childbirth. Symphysitis is not a fracture, but only a divergence. Because the tissue between the joints is not bone, which can break, but cartilage. Symphysiopathy is determined long before birth. At least two weeks before the due date, the doctor will know for sure whether your symphysis is okay or not. “Problems” are indicated by crunching, slight pain, a feeling of discomfort, as if the bones are “out of place.” The critical divergence distance, as already written above, is ten millimeters. If all these indications exist in your case, then it would probably be safer and safer for your own health to listen to your doctor and give birth by cesarean section. Sometimes damage during a caesarean section can heal faster than with divergence of the symphysis pubis. Terrible pain, and most importantly, the inability to simply stand on one’s feet independently and painlessly, accompany the diagnosis of symphysis pubis discrepancy.

Symphysiopathy occurs quite often. But this is not a natural process. Normally this should not be the case; this is one of the acceptable options. One of the reasons is a lack of calcium in the body.

I hope that with any decision – yours and your doctor’s – everything will be fine for you and your child. Nothing will come apart, and if it does happen, it will heal quickly. Good luck and health!

    expert who answered the question

To establish the correct diagnosis, you need a face-to-face consultation with a specialist!

The likelihood of pregnancy during oral sex

    Diagnosis of pregnancy during menstruation

In 2002, during pregnancy, she was diagnosed with symphysitis. Then I not only drank calcium, but also, on the advice of Ch. The doctor used Tentorium ointment. I live in a regional center, and when I was admitted to our maternity hospital, it turned out that my baby would be large, with a large head, and although the treatment made the pain in the symphysis pubis much less, they said that I would have a cesarean section. Of course, there were snot and tears, but when they tell you that you will be disabled and will walk poorly, you don’t really have to choose. Although I didn’t agree, they didn’t really ask for my consent. And in May I came to this maternity hospital when they were already leaving water. It’s not scary to give birth for the first time, you don’t understand what awaits you, you don’t realize many moments, and you think; everyone gets out of there alive, and I will get out. Moreover, everything about the caesarean section was clear to me, understandable, and without a chance.

After many years, I realized that then GOD simply HELPED me, there’s no other way to say it. Well, that means I arrived here, the doctor looks at him on the Doppler and in shock says: the baby is really big, I won’t let you go into labor, my team is in surgery for an operation, but alone, I won’t do a caesarean with others. In general, I’m afraid. And he gives a direction to the city for a caesarean (emphasized). They call an ambulance, give me a nurse, and send me overnight to the regional maternity hospital. All the way (an hour) I was sure that just a little more, another half an hour, and everything would be fine, I would see my baby, my little one, because a caesarean section does not take long. That's what I thought. Now I think differently.

When a doctor looked at me at the regional maternity hospital, he said harshly, “don’t be a fool, go to the prenatal room and give birth yourself.” To say that I was in shock is simply to remain silent, I spoke, explained, persuaded, pointed my fingers in the direction, but nothing helped. The answer is: “Stop being a fool.”

And the contractions, and the pushing, and even the very birth of my son were accompanied by my cry, “You promised, you bastards, you promised me a Caesarean, where is my Caesarean.”

In general, all the hopes for a quick resolution, for those “half an hour and that’s it”, were not justified. Son. Weight 4230, height 56 cm. They applied it to the breast right away, as soon as they applied it, I instantly forgot about symphysitis, and about the cesarean section, and about everything else. After giving birth, symphysitis did not show itself at all, she walked normally, nothing hurt, there were no thoughts of killing everyone, there was only a slight shock. Shock that she could! What is not disabled! That I'm great.

Now seven years have passed, and we decided to have a second child. Everything quickly came to mind: symphysitis, terrible pain, and Tentorium ointment, which, as luck would have it, was very difficult to get, and calcium, and then mountain calcium with mumiyo, and a prenatal bandage, and constant lying on the bed. I remembered everything, but it was of no use. It’s already 37 weeks, I’ve already tried and tried everything possible, but no results. No results. Vrschi say: only Caesarean, the fetus is large, which no longer evokes in me either tears or protests, but a quiet proposal, on the verge of despair: “Maybe we’ll try?”, “But maybe it will work out, after all, it worked the first time”, “Let’s do something” We’ll treat you some more, because there’s something else.” And a very quiet “Well, how can that be.”

For two weeks I’ve been trying to persuade these doctors, reading all the articles on the topic of symphysitis, trying ointments, propolis, and even applying native corn to the sore spot. I went to church, bought an icon “Assist in childbirth,” I rewrite prayers and hope. Girls, to be honest, it’s scary to the point of horror, to the most terrible horror. Now you know what it’s like to give birth, now you know what symphysitis is, and how all this can turn out, now you understand that then 7 years ago they risked me and the child, and nothing else, that then, as the doctors say, there was a young symphysitis, and now he is already “old”, and it is not known how he will behave in childbirth, and the doll may be larger and there are many, many things that make EP impossible. But I decided, after church I decided. I think GOD will help me now. And I answered my doctors, to the question of where I will give birth, with them or in the regional one - Whatever, where they allow me to have a natural birth, I WILL BE THERE. And if in the regional hospital they say a cesarean section, I will resign myself. BUT I WILL TRY. AND I WILL WORK OUT. WE WILL HAVE A BOY AGAIN.

One night I arrived at the district with pain in my stomach, they looked at me reluctantly, then the doctor came and said to me with her eyes, “Why the hell did you come, you only woke me up.” Were terribly sleepy

As if they didn’t care about me?? Now I’m very afraid that I’ll suddenly start giving birth at night, and they’ll kill me??

I gave birth at night, with the doctors everything was fine, but I felt very bad, plus all the delights, you even pass out and don’t want to sleep... I gave birth to the second one during the day, much better

I was always afraid of getting caught on weekends and at night, and of course I gave birth on Saturday night... Everything was fine, none of the doctors slept, everyone was in good spirits, 14 people gave birth during the night, maybe that’s why??

They said that all of you are rushing to give birth at night!

This is how most people give birth at night)))

    Wow, that's why I asked??

Otherwise, everything starts at night for me too, I’m wondering if I should endure it until the morning or not????

It started at night, or rather late in the evening, but I arrived only the next day

I arrived by ambulance at approximately one in the morning. All the doctors there were outraged. They urgently called another midwife from the house, she came running all disheveled and sleepy. But I was there alone and all the attention was on me, the maternity hospital, in theory, didn’t accept anyone at all then, but 90 km away they wouldn’t have had time to just take me, since I was already practically giving birth. What others are saying is that this is not an isolated case (like yours), but in most cases, most of the medical staff treat their work as expected at any time of the day. You got such a shift. But not everyone is like that...

I really hope that I just came across someone like that, why the hell are they like that, otherwise when everything happens for the first time you want attentiveness and a good attitude??

They waited with me until the morning, then they told me to wait for a shift change. I lay in contractions, losing consciousness, and the trainees stood over my soul, and over my IV

Damn, did the interns really embarrass you?

No, of course not, on the contrary, they supported and called anyone. There is no time for embarrassment from pain anymore.

On my page I have my birth. Read it, maybe you can take some notes from yourself.

At 00 I went to the delivery room. Several times during the night the midwife came and asked me to scream more quietly, because she was sleeping! And she gave birth only at 12.45

During my first pregnancy I arrived at half 5... they also asked why I came? She said my water broke at 3 am... I gave birth at 7.15... they accepted me without any problems. ))))

I gave birth to my first from 2 am from March 8 to 9 until 11 pm. No one scored, don't worry))

Comments like these make it easier????O?

If you are very worried that you will be treated poorly, find a doctor and make an agreement with him so that the doctor can come to the maternity hospital at any time.

I gave birth to my second one and I don’t regret it. I was also afraid of a lot of things. In the end, I gave birth with a doctor whom I chose myself.

I gave birth to my daughter at 8 in the morning, and I liked my son at 7:10 pm in the evening. I went to bed and all that peace????????

I arrived at the birth, my water broke 1 night, I walked for 22 hours, from morning to night no one cared. then they ran in...nothing was wrong in the birth room and helped. with the second one, too, I was forced to give birth at 6 o’clock, and it was also normal in the labor room. in acceptance they are always reluctant and voluptuous with those who still endure

That is, 22 hours without water?????

yes, up to two days is normal. after 20 hours they inject AB

She gave birth at 11 at night, then another woman in labor immediately went to bed. We communicated and both of us were treated well, on the contrary, it’s somehow calmer, all the extra ones are sleeping

My sword's contractions started late in the evening, I didn't sleep all night, I told them not to go, I arrived at 5 in the morning, in the reception area on the 1st floor the girl was sleepy and apparently not friendly, they processed it, took me upstairs, everyone there was already treating me well)) ) many people travel at night, the city is not small, they still can’t sleep, you’re not the only one to lash out at you) I didn’t like it anymore because I was tired, didn’t sleep, didn’t eat, had zero strength. The midwife brought me tea and bread and butter, so by that time the contractions were already frequent, I didn’t even have time to chew, the contraction began, I had a mouth full, it’s funny now, not so much then)) it was okay with my husband, I helped, gave me a glass and food , otherwise it’s all wires, it’s not convenient

Well, at this time they won’t kill you, they’ll just walk around dissatisfied. I arrived at 11 at night, the nurse did not believe that I was having contractions.

I gave birth at night after two days of stimulation. Doctors constantly came in and encouraged me) besides me, two more gave birth that night) is everyone happy?? no rudeness)

    Prevention of varicose veins

Varicose veins occur in 60% of the fairer sex. Its danger lies in the invisible course of the disease. The initial stage can last for years and girls do not immediately notice it on their legs, and when they see dilated veins, they cannot do without serious measures to eliminate them.

Prevention of varicose veins will help avoid complications, and also slow down the development of the disease and damage to healthy vessels. It is based on an integrated approach; you need to act in a targeted manner from all sides in order to prevent varicose veins from spoiling the beautiful appearance of your legs.

    Prevention of varicose veins

Among the factors that contribute to recovery from varicose veins are:

    • Selection of the optimal daily routine, this concerns daily sleep and rest, during which the legs will rest. In case of sedentary work, it is necessary to take breaks to walk and change the sitting position more often.
    • Avoid the leg-over-leg position when sitting.
    • During the day, you should change the height of the sole of your shoes; not only stiletto heels are harmful for varicose veins, but also flat soles. You should not wear tight clothing, as it pinches the groin area and lower limbs, impairing the movement of blood.
    • When relaxing at sea, you need not only to swim, but also, if the beach is pebbly, to walk on it. For relaxation, choose one climate zone.
    • Prevent constipation, as it causes increased pressure in the blood vessels in the pelvis.
    • These recommendations will help slow down the progression of varicose veins, and its prevention consists of proper nutrition, optimal physical activity and gymnastics, the use of medications and folk remedies to relieve symptoms and improve the condition of the veins.

The general condition of the human body depends on it. First you need to eliminate or at least significantly reduce the use of:

    • Bakery products, sweet and fatty foods. They add weight, and this puts significant stress on the legs.
    • Jellied meats, marinades and rich first courses provoke dilation of the walls of blood vessels.
    • Alcohol and coffee draw water out of cells, which has a detrimental effect on the entire body.

To prevent varicose veins on the legs, you need to include in your food foods enriched with fiber, beneficial vitamins and microelements:

    • A large amount of fiber is found in porridges, bran and peels of berries, fruits and vegetables. It is important for the whole body, as it absorbs excess substances, and even radionuclides, playing the role of an intestinal cleanser.
    • Copper can be obtained from lamb kidneys, seafood and beef liver.
    • Vitamin E, which helps rejuvenate the body and skin, is found in egg yolk, butter, legumes, wheat, liver and green onions.
    • Vitamin C and P are found in peppers, cabbage, black currants, rose hips, tomatoes, sea buckthorn, and walnuts.
    • All these elements contribute to the production of elastin, which improves the elasticity of the venous walls. In case of illness, it is better to replace animal oils with vegetable oils; the latter will have a beneficial effect on varicose veins.

Not everyone can boast of the title of master of sports, but in order to prevent the occurrence of varicose veins or make life easier with them, it is enough to constantly set aside time for walking, running, cycling, going to the pool, and also perform simple gymnastics at home.

You just need to give your body physical activity every day, make it a rule to move more, stand and sit less.

Some gymnastic exercises can be easily done at home.

In the prone position, you can resort to the following exercises:

    • Rest your forehead on the floor and place your arms along your body, after which you need to lift each leg in turn and keep it suspended as long as you have the strength.
    • Bend your knees and forcefully push your heels towards your buttocks.

Lying on your back, you need to perform the following movements:

  • Rotate your legs alternately, as if you were riding a bicycle; this exercise is called “bicycle”.
  • Position on your back, raise your legs a little and begin to cross them. This exercise is called “scissors.”
  • Side position. You need to start from the right, raising your left leg, first straight, and then bent at the knee. Do the same with your right leg, lying on your left side.

When choosing other exercises in the “lying” and “standing” positions, you need to take into account that static tension in the legs is excluded.

These exercises will be useful for those who sit at a desk all day at work; to perform them, it will be enough to set aside 20 minutes twice a day.

The most effective methods for preventing varicose veins in the legs are:

  • Raise and lower your legs on tiptoes;
  • Place your feet with your toes pointing towards each other, and then spread your toes and bring your heels together;
  • Move your feet alternately from heel to toe;
  • Raise your legs, bending your knees, and swing them from side to side;
  • Place your heels on the floor and press down on them.
  • All of the physical activities listed above will help cope with severe varicose veins and prevent their occurrence if preconditions arise.

Medicines are prescribed by a doctor for each individual, based on the clinical picture of the disease. Their action should be aimed at the following points:

  • Effective relief of symptoms of varicose veins by thinning the blood, reducing swelling of the legs and their heaviness;
  • Increased tone of the venous walls;
  • Reducing possible complications of the disease.
  • Among the effective and relatively safe medications are:

  • Venarus. An affordable drug from a domestic manufacturer. It is a venotonic that improves lymphatic drainage and blood microcirculation. The package contains 20 tablets.
  • Antistax. Sold in the form of capsules that contain red grape leaf extract. The medication reduces pressure in blood vessels, strengthening their walls and improving blood movement.
  • Detralex. The medicine from the French manufacturer is used for blood flow disorders; it can prevent the formation of blood clots in blood vessels. The package contains 30 tablets.
  • Troxevasin. It has two forms of release: gel and capsules. In each of them, the active ingredient is troxerutin. The drug has a strengthening and tonic effect, is effective in relieving swelling and inflammation. You can use two of its forms at once, externally and internally.
  • Vaso collected. It contains caffeine, which tones the vein walls and improves blood flow.

External agents can be used together with medications to enhance their effect and quickly cope with the disease.

    Compression underwear

In the initial stage of development of varicose veins, for the purpose of prevention, phlebologists recommend wearing special anti-varicose tights, stockings or socks. Wearing them will not cure the disease, but will prevent swelling of the veins, and those that are already protruding will become more elastic and decrease over time. They are made of special fiber, the material compresses the calf areas and improves blood flow to the heart.

Such therapeutic compression hosiery can be purchased in online pharmacies or orthopedic salons. They are selected by size; for this you need to take several measurements indicated on the packaging with the knitwear. The products fit very tightly on the legs, but do not impede blood flow, but on the contrary, improve it thanks to the distribution of compression: in the groin - 20%, on the ankles - 100%, in the knees - 75%, on the hips - 50%.

There is no need to worry about their appearance; they look like thick nylon tights and come in black and beige. They can be worn instead of regular tights.

Put on the compression garment while lying down; first you need to carefully place its tip behind the heel so as not to damage the threads woven on the product in the area of the bone.

Tights and stockings have three compression classes. The first class is recommended for prevention, while the second and third are necessary during the treatment of the disease.

Such knitwear can be replaced with an elastic bandage; before using it, you will need to lie down with your legs raised for a quarter of an hour.

To prevent varicose veins, you need to raise your legs at a right angle every day, doing the exercise twice a day for six minutes.

    Pharmacy creams and ointments

Products for external use contain hirudin, heparin and troxerutin; menthol and essential oils are additional components for moisturizing and toning effect.

They can come in three forms:

  • Ointment. It forms an invisible film; its oily consistency is absorbed for a long time, but due to the greenhouse effect it creates, it promotes deep penetration of active substances.
  • Cream. Easily absorbed, may leave a slight trace.
  • Gel. Can be applied under compression garments, leaves no residue, is quickly absorbed, and can dry out the skin.
  • The application of such products should be accompanied by self-massage. He himself goes as a preventive method. When doing this, you need to stroke the skin of your legs, starting with your toes and moving upward, and then repeat light movements downwards. The massage lasts at least 10 minutes.

Among the well-known ointments and creams are:

    1. Lyoton 1000 is presented in the form of a gel, the composition of which prevents thrombosis and inflammation of the vein walls. It prevents the formation of trophic ulcers, and if they already exist, the remedy cannot be used.
    2. Hepatrombin is an ointment containing synthetic and natural components that relieve inflammation and swelling of the legs and improve blood flow. It can be applied to areas with trophic ulcers.
    3. Heparin ointment is an affordable remedy that reduces blood clotting and the formation of blood clots on the walls of veins. It has an analgesic effect and improves metabolic processes in the walls of blood vessels.

Among them you can choose products for external and internal use.

Hot baths with pine salt prevent the occurrence of varicose veins. They need to be added to a hot bath in the amount of 300 grams. Baths with baking soda will also be effective. When choosing it in a full bathroom, you need to add a whole pack of product.

But saunas and steam baths are excluded for varicose veins; they can worsen the condition of the veins; it is better to use a contrast shower more often for the legs.

In case of tired legs and the initial stage of the disease, they will help relieve heaviness and tension in the legs and improve the elasticity of the veins.

Apple vinegar. It helps well with knots. They need to wipe the sore spots for a month. A little vinegar is poured onto the cosmetic disc and after rubbing, it remains there until it is absorbed; after the procedure, there is no need to rinse off the product. It should be applied in the mornings and evenings. You can also drink it for varicose veins on an empty stomach along with honey, half an hour before breakfast.

Horse chestnut. Known as an effective remedy for the prevention of varicose veins, it appears in many pharmaceutical external remedies. At home, a tincture from this plant is used for rubbing.

To prepare it, you need to prepare the kernels and peel of about half a three-liter jar; before putting them in it, you need to chop them. And then fill the remaining free volume of the jar with alcohol or vodka. Close the container with a lid and leave in a dark place, trying to shake the bottle regularly. After soaking, pass the contents through a filter. Use the tincture every evening, this preparation is enough for a year

The above methods tell you how to avoid varicose veins on the legs by performing disease prevention in a timely manner. If you have a disease, you need to find an experienced phlebologist who would monitor the condition of the veins and the course of the disease.
