A heel spur is an inflammatory and degenerative change in the plantar fascia. The disease does not appear immediately; the first symptom is acute pain in the heel area when walking. As the disease develops, the pain increases so much that the person practically cannot move independently.
The development of plantar fasciitis is promoted by flat feet, diseases of the joints of the lower extremities, and problems with blood circulation. Often the appearance of a growth is provoked by intense sports activities, excess weight and uncomfortable narrow shoes.
It is better not to postpone a visit to the doctor, the spur will not go away on its own and the condition will only worsen over time. After a thorough examination, the specialist will prescribe complex therapy aimed at treating the underlying disease.
In most cases, plantar fasciitis does not require surgery. The main remedies for heel spurs are physical therapy, ointment preparations, orthopedic devices, therapeutic exercises and massage.
The following physiotherapeutic methods are especially effective:
What remedy for heel spurs should I buy at the pharmacy? Regardless of the cause of the growth, treatment boils down to eliminating it and blocking the pain.
Most often, doctors prescribe:
In combination with these drugs, you can use Contractubex, Zolotoy Us and other drugs containing ibuprofen and benzocaine to relieve pain. You can make your own remedies for foot spurs. Exactly following the recipe allows you to obtain the same effective composition as in pharmaceutical preparations.
Mix 100 grams of dimexide and 100 ml of distilled water. Add 1 bottle of heparin, 6 ampoules of 50% analgin and mix well. Soak gauze in the solution, wring it out and apply to the inflamed area. Cover the top with cellophane and insulate. It is better to apply the compress at night; in the morning, simply rinse your foot with warm water.
To prepare, mix 1 tbsp. a spoonful of honey, 1 teaspoon of salt and 50 ml of iodine. Dip a tampon into the resulting mixture and apply it to the heel. Wrap it in cellophane and put on a warm sock. Keep the compress for 15 minutes. It is recommended to do the procedure once a day, for at least 10 days.
Another remedy for heel spurs at home is an ointment based on eggs and butter. Recipe: place a fresh raw egg in a glass container and pour 60 ml of vinegar essence. Leave in a dark, cool place for 10 days (during this time the shell should completely dissolve). Remove the egg, remove the film and shake well. Add 40 ml of vinegar essence and 100 grams of melted butter. Treat your heels with the prepared mixture daily, preferably at night.
When treating plantar fasciitis, ice can help reduce inflammation and relieve pain. A simple and effective remedy can be used in several ways:
The most effective remedy for heel spurs is a special patch that can be bought at any pharmacy. It contains medicinal herbs and several auxiliary components. Active substances act on acupuncture points on the foot, eliminating inflammation and pain. You need to stick the patch on a dry heel for a day, then replace it with a new one. Duration of treatment is 10–15 days.
You can make lotions with medical bile. Place a soaked cotton swab on the steamed heel, secure with a bandage, wrap in plastic and put on a sock. Leave the compress on overnight. The procedure should be repeated daily until pain symptoms disappear.
Special exercises can also be used as a means of treating heel spurs. Exercises that strengthen the muscles of the foot should begin with a warm-up. Doctors recommend walking on a massage mat, rolling a water bottle with your feet, and picking up small objects from the floor with your toes.
Rest is also very important in the treatment of fasciitis, it helps reduce the stress on the foot, which often leads to the development of the disease. The patient should get enough rest and, if possible, avoid performing exercises that cause severe pain. In some cases, special splints (orthoses) should be worn at night. They fix the leg in a certain way, which provides tension to the fascia and relieves pain.
Treating a heel spur can take quite a long time; it is much easier to prevent its occurrence.
To do this, you need to eliminate the reasons causing the formation of the growth:
Before starting treatment, be sure to consult a specialist. You should not choose methods or prescribe medications yourself, as this can aggravate the problem and harm your health.
Movement is life. But when a person makes movements, overcoming pain, then life becomes not very wonderful. One of the most common causes of foot pain is the appearance of heel spurs. We will tell you in our article how this disease is dangerous and how to get rid of a spur on the heel quickly and without even resorting to the help of doctors.
The appearance of plantar fasciitis, or more simply put, spurs on the leg, is currently considered a very serious problem, which is very difficult to get rid of.
Typically, a spur is the formation of a bone growth in the form of a specific spike that forms in the heel area. Most citizens who experience a similar illness note the appearance of sharp, sharp, aching pain. It especially intensifies during various movements, even at a slow pace.
It should be noted that this disease usually appears in women of mature age. This is due to the frequent walking of women in heels.
If the patient experiences severe, excruciating pain during walking, then we can talk about the bilateral formation of this pathology. In order to get rid of pain, a person has to use crutches, a cane, or move with someone’s help.
People suffering from this disease very often become irritable and nervous. There is also a decrease in their performance and dissipation of attention; they cannot concentrate on one thing for a long time.
So why does this disease occur?
Experts note several factors that lead to the appearance of heel spurs.
Thus, in order to identify this dangerous disease in time, you must be attentive to your body and pay attention to emerging signs.
As mentioned above, the patient is bothered by acute pain in the heel area, especially intensifying while walking. But these are not all the symptoms of this disease. In addition, the main symptoms include:
It should be noted that the first sign is characteristic of the initial stages of localization of the disease.
It should be noted that if one of the above signs appears, you should immediately contact a specialist. Only he can make the correct diagnosis and prescribe the correct treatment.
Initially, the specialist interviews the patient and examines the problem area. Most often, these measures are quite sufficient to make a diagnosis. Additional diagnostic methods may also be used. These include diagnostics using an X-ray machine. In addition, the patient may be prescribed a blood test.
It should be noted that the sooner a person contacts a specialist, the more correct the diagnosis will be made and the more effective the treatment will be. In order to get rid of spurs on the foot, several treatment methods are used:
It should be remembered that if the disease is in an acute and severe stage, then the use of the above remedies will not give the desired effect. In this case, to get rid of a spur on the leg, it would be more appropriate to use hormonal drugs. These include: diprosan, prednidazole. Most often, doctors recommend administering these drugs by injection.
Currently, the question: “How can I quickly get rid of a spur on my foot?” — many doctors offer methods such as gentle laser therapy, the use of ultrasound, mud baths and shock wave therapy. Using massage also helps strengthen the ligaments of the foot.
In addition, most patients answer the question: “How to get rid of heel spurs forever? - they talk about the use of products that are found in every home.
Traditional medicine also contains several recipes for effectively getting rid of heel spurs.
They are based on the use of tools that are always on hand:
In addition, iodine, familiar to us all from childhood, also helps get rid of heel spurs. To get rid of a spur, you need to apply an iodine mesh to the problem area using a cotton swab.
Most doctors recommend that as a preventive measure for the appearance of spurs, all people should walk barefoot more, and in the summer, walk barefoot on the grass. This helps improve blood circulation in the foot and activate most of the important receptors.
Heel spurs are a disease in which a small sharp growth appears on the bone tissue on the heel on the side of the sole. At first it is almost invisible from the outside and can be diagnosed using x-rays. This phenomenon is popularly called a heel spur, because over time such a defect can also give external visual changes similar to a spur. The medical term for this condition is plantar fasciitis and subcalcaneal bursitis. The symptoms of the two diseases are very similar.
Diagnosing a heel spur is quite simple. If a person experiences pain when walking, if the pain intensifies with increasing load, then he should be sent for an x-ray. Typically, such a growth is clearly visible on a lateral photograph of the foot. Painful sensations when walking resemble a nail sticking out of a shoe. That is, it only hurts when you step on your heel. It's especially painful to walk in the morning when you step on your heel after a night's sleep. Such people try to avoid pain, step on their toes and begin to limp.
But where does it come from? How does bone tissue appear? After all, before the onset of the disease, you did not experience discomfort when walking?
At first, the disease is in the stage of plantar fasciitis. For some reason, the fascia becomes inflamed - this is the connective tissue on the sole, which ensures smooth and even walking. If the inflammation process continues for a long time, and the fascia continues to be in an inflamed state, it begins to become saturated with calcium, and calcification occurs. The inflamed tissues ossify and a thorn or growth forms.
The thorn itself does not cause any pain. Discomfort occurs when, when walking, a spike cuts into the soft tissue of the foot and damages it. Irritation and redness begins.
Heel spurs can appear at any age. However, older people are most susceptible to it. Often a spur is a consequence of a previous disease. Sometimes a spur appears after a foot injury. Thorns can occur on one or both feet.
People who have flat feet are most susceptible to heel spurs. Also at risk are pregnant women and those who are rapidly gaining weight. All of these people place incredible stress on their feet, which can cause heel spurs to form. Most often, this thorn appears in women because they wear heels. High heels hold the foot in an unnatural position, which affects its health.
Traditional medicine offers many options for getting rid of this defect. For example, exposure to ultrasound, x-rays, laser. This is a disease that can and should be treated with folk remedies. Massages, compresses, heating and wraps are very effective in the fight against heel spurs. Various types of physical therapy are helpful. If no type of treatment helps, the issue of surgical intervention is decided. The growth is simply cut off.
Mechanical impact on the spur is one of the most effective.
All procedures must be done every day. The full course of treatment is at least 10 sessions. After all, it is impossible to get rid of heel spurs quickly.
Warming with whey. Take a few liters of whey. Heat it to a temperature you can withstand. Dip your feet into the serum and keep your feet there until the liquid cools completely. You need to do 10 sessions. On day 4-5, the pain will subside, but it is important to complete the course of treatment.
Garlic compress. To prepare this remedy, you need to grate a few cloves of garlic on a fine grater. Apply the prepared mixture to the heels and bandage tightly. The compress can be left overnight. If you experience a strong burning sensation, garlic can be mixed with a small amount of vegetable oil.
Tar. Take the tar and spread it on a crust of rye bread. Place the bread on the heel, cover with a bag and bandage tightly. So you need to go to bed. Do not put stress on your heels. In the morning the pain will subside, but the procedure must be repeated several more times.
Onion compress. To prepare this remedy, you need to take several onions and grate them. Then apply the mixture to the heel and wrap the foot in a bag. Warm and leave overnight. In the morning, remove the compress, but do not wash the heel. Repeat the procedure several times.
Bile. This is a popular and effective remedy for combating heel spurs, known at all times. Take two tablespoons of animal bile, mix with a tablespoon of alcohol and the same amount of soap shavings. Use only laundry soap. Apply the mixture to your heels, wrap in a bag and leave overnight. Repeat several times. Bile can be purchased at a pharmacy.
Cabbage with honey. You need to take a cabbage leaf and mash it with a rolling pin. Spread natural honey on a leaf and apply to the foot. Tie and leave for a day.
Turpentine and ammonia. You need to make compresses from these liquids alternately, alternating them every day. Soak a piece of cloth in the liquid, apply it to the heel, wrap it in waterproof paper and bandage it tightly.
Herbal compress. Take a small amount of nettle, plantain and burdock leaf. Nettle and plantain need to be crushed, placed on a burdock leaf and applied to the heel spur. You can walk this way continuously until the pain goes away and complete relief occurs. The compress needs to be changed every 4 hours.
Heel spurs cause a lot of inconvenience. It causes pain and prevents you from walking, working and studying normally. If you have the slightest suspicion of a thorn in the sole, you should consult a doctor. He will certainly prescribe an effective treatment that will save you from suffering.
When your heel hurts a lot, it means you have a heel spur. It occurs as a result of bone growth, which forms a spine. Physiotherapeutic, medicinal, and surgical treatments can be used in treatment. Modern medicine most often uses ultrasound and laser for treatment. Folk remedies play an important role.
This is a degenerative disease. With a heel spur, the soft tissue of the tubercle of the heel is affected, in the place where the muscle tendon is attached, because of this, an inflammatory process occurs in the tissues of the periosteum.
Specific growths begin to appear in the inflamed area, all this leads to spurs that put strong pressure on the soft tissue, resulting in severe pain.
When the heel is loaded, the pain begins to increase, and discomfort appears when the person has rested. Most often, spurs appear due to:
2. If the water-salt metabolic process in the body is disrupted, this causes a large amount of salt to accumulate in the tissues.
4. Due to lumbosacral osteochondrosis, the result is an uneven load on the feet.
5. As a consequence of injury.
6. After sports physical activity.
7. Due to neurodystrophic, vascular changes in the heels.
As a result, the heels are subject to excessive load, if it is constant, the tendons and periosteum tissue can be injured, which results in a chronic inflammatory process that develops into a heel spur.
In order for the treatment to help and the heel spur to not reoccur, you need to find out exactly what caused the disease, only then can you fight it.
First, you can use the conservative method, you must:
1. Stop the inflammatory process.
2. Get rid of puffiness.
4. Do everything to stop the degenerative process in tissues.
5. Establish regenerative function in tissues.
As the disease progresses, it is necessary to use special medications that are injected into the painful areas. In this situation, it is important that the doctor select the exact dosage; if this is not done, serious complications may occur. The blockade helps get rid of the disease for a long time.
If conservative treatment methods do not help, an urgent operation is necessary, in which tissue will be excised. This method will only be effective if the cause is eliminated.
It is important to adhere to a gentle regime and avoid some increased loads:
1. You cannot walk for a long time.
2. Don't carry heavy things.
3. Do not run, jump, or do physical activity for some time.
4. High heels and flat soles are contraindicated.
It is best to wear sneakers with a heel spur with a height of 4 cm. It is recommended to pay attention to special inserts, they improve the condition of the foot. You can make such an insole yourself by making a hole in the foam rubber.
1. Massage your feet, perform therapeutic exercises, which can help restore blood circulation in your feet.
2. Effectively use applications with therapeutic mud and clay. This way you can relieve the inflammatory process and get rid of heel pain.
3. A mineral bath with the addition of warm water helps, this can improve blood circulation in the heels, bone formations will quickly begin to dissolve.
4. X-rays are also used to treat heel spurs, they get rid of them using a beam of ionizing radiation, so the spurs will not grow further, because of this, the nerve endings in the affected area are completely blocked, there will be no pain. X-ray is one of the best anti-inflammatory drugs.
5. Laser treatment, when the device is used to influence the affected area, blood circulation improves, the inflammatory process is eliminated, and the person gets rid of pain.
6. Ultraviolet irradiation will help improve tissue regeneration.
7. Electrophoresis, in which anti-inflammatory drugs are used, they penetrate into the space between the cells.
8. Magnet treatment, due to the fact that there is an electric current in the tissues, metabolism improves and they are restored.
9. Ultrasound treatment - the painful area is heated, this speeds up the metabolism, and restores tissue that is damaged.
It is necessary to perform special foot baths; applications also help well.
1. Treatment with medical bile. The heel is thoroughly steamed beforehand and immersed in hot water for several minutes. Afterwards you need to wipe it thoroughly, apply a cotton swab, and before that soak it in bile. First, the applique is applied, then polyethylene is applied and warm socks are put on. Legs rest throughout the night. The procedures are performed every day until the pain completely goes away.
2. Using lard for treatment. You need to take a small piece of lard and tie it to the sore area.
3. Treatment with raw potatoes. To do this, you need to carefully cut it, tie it to the affected area, and leave it overnight. To improve the effect, grate the potatoes to make a paste, wrap it in gauze and apply it to the heel area.
4. Applications with black radish. The root vegetable must first be grated and applied to the heel area. The procedure is performed before bedtime.
5. A bath with medicinal herbs – burdock, wormwood, nettle, mallow – will help get rid of heel spurs. To prepare a decoction, you need to brew a tablespoon of herbs in a liter of water and boil everything. Baths should last at least half an hour.
6. You can use a bath with vinegar, salt, and alcohol. Mix all components and dissolve in three liters of water. Feet must be kept until the bath has cooled completely. The course of therapy is two weeks.
So, a heel spur interferes with a person’s motor activity. It is important to start treatment on time; you can use traditional and folk methods; it is best to perform the entire procedure in a complex.
If a person is bothered by heel pain that gets worse when walking, then, first of all, you need to think about a disease such as plantar fasciitis. Most people know it as a heel spur.
Despite the fact that this pathology is not dangerous to human life, it significantly worsens its quality, causing a lot of inconvenience and causing chronic pain. Therefore, this disease must be actively identified and treated. Modern medicine can offer several treatment options for plantar fasciitis. All of them have a positive effect on the course of the disease and reduce the severity of pain. But you can enhance the effect of traditional therapy using folk methods that have been proven over the years.
Important to remember! Treatment of heel spurs with folk remedies should be considered only as an additional method; in no case should it replace traditional medicinal and non-medicinal methods of therapy. And you can use this or that recipe only after consultation with a specialist, since many folk remedies have their own contraindications and side effects.
When developing a heel spur, the first thing to do is to reconsider your lifestyle, identify possible risk factors for such a disease, if possible, get rid of them and adhere to a gentle regimen.
You need to give up the following things:
It is imperative to normalize body weight, since excess kilograms significantly increase the load on the feet and cause the progression of plantar fasciitis.
Patients with heel spurs should pay special attention to the choice of shoes. The height of the instep in the foot should not exceed 4-5 cm, but cannot be less than 2-3 cm. The ideal option is sneakers with arch supports. Also in specialized stores you can purchase shoe insoles with silicone pads intended for patients with plantar fasciitis.
These silicone pads will help reduce pain when walking for patients with heel spurs.
You can begin to treat heel spurs using compresses. To achieve a positive effect, it is necessary to perform from 7 to 15 procedures daily. Let's look at the best recipes for medicinal applications.
To get rid of heel pain in this way, you need to purchase canned medical bile at the pharmacy. Feet must first be steamed in warm water for 15-20 minutes. Soak a cotton pad completely with bile and apply it to the sore heel. Wrap the top in plastic and put on a warm sock. You need to leave the compress on all night. The course of treatment is 10 days.
Traditional methods such as fat compresses will help get rid of heel pain. Pork, badger, bear, and goat fat are suitable as raw materials. Apply a slice of lard to the sore spot, cover the fat compress with polyethylene on top and put on a sock. You need to keep the compress all night, the course of treatment is 7-10 days.
You will need one raw potato, which you need to grate on a fine grater. Spread the resulting pulp over a clean cloth and apply to the sore spot. Wrap everything on top with cellophane. You need to keep the compress for 4 hours. You will need from 6 to 15 procedures daily.
You can secure the compress on the heel with a plaster
You will need 50 grams of black radish, which you need to grate on a fine grater or mince. Spread the pulp over a clean cloth and apply to the sore heel. You need to keep it for 3-4 hours. After the compress, wipe the skin with a damp towel. The course requires 5-7 compresses.
The sore foot should be thoroughly rubbed with turpentine. Then put on a wool sock. Such applications must be left on all night. For a course of treatment, 6-8 procedures are sufficient.
You will need a regular alcohol solution of iodine. You need to pour a little into some container and dip the sore heel into the tube. After this, put a clean cotton sock on your foot. If you are afraid of allergies or burns, then you can use a more gentle option - apply an iodine mesh. It is recommended to carry out such therapy in a course of 10 days.
You need to take 50 grams of laundry soap and melt it over low heat. The resulting mass should be applied to the sore foot at night. To treat a heel spur this way, you will need 7-9 daily treatments.
You should definitely mention such traditional medicine methods as healing foot baths. Here are some effective recipes.
For such a bath you need to dissolve table or sea salt in warm water. Proportion: two tablespoons of salt per liter of water. Half of the salt can be replaced with baking soda. You need to take a bath for 20 minutes. It helps eliminate the inflammatory process, reduce pain and soften tissue.
You need to take 50 ml of 9% vinegar, 50 ml of turpentine per liter of warm water. Mix all the ingredients and place your foot in the container for 10 minutes. You can take this bath every day for 3 weeks. Next you should take a break for at least a month.
You will need three liters of warm water, a tablespoon of soda and 25 drops of an alcohol solution of iodine. You need to take this therapeutic bath for 15 minutes every day for 2 weeks.
A therapeutic foot bath is not only useful, but also pleasant
To prepare a bath based on medicinal herbs for the treatment of heel spurs, burdock, nettle, wormwood, chamomile, and calendula are suitable. You need to prepare it this way: add a tablespoon of dry herbs to a liter of warm water. The course of treatment consists of 10-15 procedures daily.

In addition to external methods of treating heel spurs, there are infusions and tinctures for internal use that enhance the healing effect of compresses and ointments.
You need to take 1 part of dried lilac flowers and 10 parts of vodka. Let the raw material brew for 10 days, then strain. You should take a teaspoon diluted with water 2 times a day, regardless of meals. Lilac tincture can also be rubbed into a sore spot.
This medicine can be purchased at any pharmacy in ready-made form. Take a teaspoon 3 times a day with water.
Cinquefoil tincture can be purchased in a pharmacy in ready-made form.
To prepare it, you need to take 2 tablespoons of dried lingonberry leaves per liter of boiling water. This amount of tea should be drunk throughout the day, divided into 3-4 doses. The course of treatment is 7 days.
You will only need 20 grams of shelled pine nuts. Pour 200 ml of vodka into the raw material and leave for ten days at room temperature. Take a tablespoon three times a day before meals.
Despite the fact that folk remedies such as ointments are difficult to prepare, they have a pronounced healing effect. The following ointment compositions will help you cope with heel spurs.
First you need to prepare an iris tincture. You need to take 250 grams of iris flower root, rinse it and grind it through a blender. Pour the resulting slurry with the same amount of vodka and leave to infuse for 5 days in a dark place.
To prepare the ointment, you need to melt 100 grams of medical Vaseline in a water bath and add 50 ml of the prepared infusion. After cooling, the ointment will be ready. It needs to be stored in the refrigerator. Can be used daily for rubbing or ointment dressings.
Place the egg in a glass and pour vinegar so that it is completely covered with liquid. Leave it like this until the egg shell dissolves. Melt the butter in a water bath and combine all the ingredients. After cooling, the ointment is ready. Must be stored in the refrigerator.
It is advisable to use it in the form of ointment compresses. To do this, a small amount of the product should be applied to gauze and applied to the sore heel. Secure the top with a bandage and leave overnight. The course of treatment is 10 days.
In a water bath you need to dissolve 5 grams of mumiyo and 100 grams of natural candied honey. Then the mixture needs to be cooled. The ointment is ready for use. You can rub it into the sore spot 2-3 times a day for a week.
Honey is an excellent base for preparing folk ointments.
A tube of any baby cream should be squeezed into a container, add one chicken egg and a tablespoon of vinegar essence. This mixture should be kept in the refrigerator. It is better to rub the composition into the heel at night. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.
Among other folk methods of treating heel spurs, the following should be highlighted.
Such an event will not only help you get rid of the pain associated with heel spurs, but will also prevent its development. For treatment or prevention, you need to roll a regular kitchen rolling pin on the floor with your heel every day for 15 minutes. This is an excellent massage that will strengthen muscles and improve blood circulation. After a session of such a massage, it is good to take a therapeutic foot bath and apply one of the compresses at night, which are described above.
Half a kilogram of ordinary kitchen salt should be heated well in a dry frying pan or in the oven. After the salt reaches a comfortable temperature for the skin, you need to immerse the sore heel in it. It is necessary to warm your foot until the salt cools completely. You can do such procedures daily for 1-2 weeks.
There are many more traditional medicine methods that are used to treat heel spurs. But we should not forget that these techniques should only complement the therapeutic complex, and should only be used with the permission of the attending physician.
From the experience of our readers, we have received many folk recipes for treating heel spurs.
1 example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
My wife suffered from this misfortune for a long time, and round (also called “hairy”) peas helped her. I sewed another layer of fabric onto the socks (on the heel), having first poured peas there in one layer. She put on a sock, shoes on top, and walked like that. At first she complained to me that walking was uncomfortable, but then she gradually got used to it.
I don’t remember exactly how long she wore that pea sock, but it’s been five years since she knows what spurs are.
2 example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
This is how I cured heel spurs. Wearing slippers under the heels allowed my hair to grow in a thick layer, and I walked around with them for a whole month.
It's been ten years now that I don't know what spurs are. But I used to suffer so much with them!
Thanks to a kind, unknown nurse for that simple and practical advice.
Valentina Romanovna Kovalenko,
3 example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
My method of treating heel spurs is using a tincture of common lilac flowers. This tincture can also be used for rheumatism, as well as for the deposition of salts in the joints. Pour dried flowers with 40-degree alcohol in a ratio of 1:10, leave for 8-10 days in a tightly sealed container in a dark place. Take 30 drops 2-3 times a day and at the same time rub or make compresses from the same tincture on sore spots.
If this recipe helps someone, then use it for the glory of God! By faith you too will be blessed! God bless you!
4 example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
I want to share a life-tested recipe for healing heel spurs.
Place a chicken egg in a glass and fill it with table vinegar so that the vinegar covers the top of the egg.
Then place the glass in a dark place for several days. When the eggshell dissolves in vinegar, the soft film (the inner shell of the egg) needs to be torn and the contents of the egg poured into the vinegar (throw away the film).
Mix the composition thoroughly and add 1 tbsp. sunflower oil.
Now you can be treated. Soak a piece of cloth in this mixture and place it on the spur, wrap the heel on top with cellophane and a warm cloth. If you do several such sessions, the spur will dissolve and the pain will go away.
5 example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
From 1967 to this day, spurs have not bothered me. Because in that very year 1967, on the advice of one grandmother, I cured heel spurs with pharmaceutical turpentine.
Before going to bed, I washed my feet with soap, then wiped them dry, poured a little turpentine into my palm and rubbed my heel. After repeating this several times (I rubbed my entire foot), I put on a woolen sock, then did the same with the second leg - and off to bed.
It is advisable to do this near the stove, because turpentine has an unpleasant odor.
You need to do this for seven evenings, after which you take a seven-day break and do it seven more times. I did this procedure immediately fourteen times without a break, because after seven times there was no improvement. And only after that I gave myself a seven-day break, and after another seven evenings I repeated the treatment.
To this day the spurs don't bother me.
Another option for treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
I had spurs. I did everything I could, but nothing helped. Then a neighbor advised me to try this method.
“Pour,” says Anya, “fresh black rye bread with sour cow’s milk and make a frequent mash.” Then apply a thick layer on a rag and rewind your sore heel. Put a cellophane bag on top and wrap it up with something warm.
I did this at night. After five times, my skin came off like cake, and my heel became like a baby’s. Forty years have passed since then. And the spurs didn't bother me anymore.
A good recipe for treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
I remember a heel spur bothered me for five years. I treated everything that the doctors prescribed, but to no avail. Kind people advised me to steam my feet in the evening, and then put a piece of unsalted lard on my heel overnight. I did this for a week, and, thank God, the spur has not bothered me for many years.
The most famous treatment for heel spurs with folk remedies :
I want to share a recipe for spurs, thanks to which my daughter was cured.
Take the garlic, crush it on the spade, put it on a cloth and apply it to the spur. You need to be very careful so that the garlic mass does not get on your body. Keep the garlic until it starts to bake. It is best to do the procedure during the day, although my daughter did it all night. By morning, the heel became pink, like a baby’s. Ten years have passed since then, and I still don’t know what a heel spur is.
For those who have had spurs on their heels, this recipe for treating heel spurs with folk remedies will not be new:
It feels like someone drove nails into them. And the pain is hellish, as if an abscess is ripening.
At that time, I did not know traditional methods of treatment, and doctors recommended applying medical bile to the area of the spurs. But this method did not help me, and walking did not become easier for me.
Then, with great difficulty, I got a ticket to the Azerbaijani sanatorium “Naftalan”. And only after undergoing a course of treatment with oil mud, I got rid of this disease. Galina, Israel, R. O. V. 417, Maalot, 21013
The most effective way to treat heel spurs with folk remedies :
I know that many people suffer from heel spurs. In 1975, they even offered me surgery for this reason. But the traumatologist from the regional clinic advised me to try one lotion first.
To prepare the medicinal composition, salicylic acid was required - 1.0 ml, acetic acid 100% - 2.0 ml, ammonia - 1.0 ml, sulfur - 5.0 g, camphor alcohol - 30.0 ml, alcohol retified wine 96% - 50.0 ml (the obligatory condition is to take exactly 96% alcohol, and neither vodka, nor moonshine, nor any other alcohol is suitable!).
Mix all components thoroughly and moisten cotton wool or a bandage with this mixture, apply it to the spur and secure it with an adhesive plaster. I made myself such lotions at night (although you can walk around with them during the day).
I only needed five procedures and the spur was gone!
It’s good that in Ukraine there is such a newspaper through which I can convey this recipe to all those who suffer. God bless you!
A method of treating heel spurs with folk remedies that was used in the old days:
I also want to share one recipe. From heel spurs. I tested it myself. I couldn’t even step on my heel, but I cured it in just three days. The lump on the heel has disappeared and is still not bothering me. So, listen and take your time.
Pour 1 tbsp into the jar lid. iodine and place the heel in the iodine until the iodine is completely absorbed into the skin. Five such procedures are enough, although for me personally three were enough. The skin on the heel came off along with the spur.
After which you should clean the heel with pumice and lubricate it with any nourishing cream. The heel will be clean, soft and painless.
An example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies :
For spurs you need leaves from the ficus flower. Grind 2-3 leaves like vermicelli, put in a glass jar and immediately pour ammonia (two 50 ml bottles). But you need to buy this alcohol in advance so that the leaves don’t dry out.
If you need to carry leaves from somewhere, then you need to do this in a plastic bag. Cut and pour immediately.
After a day, you can lubricate your heels. In a few days you will forget about your spurs.
An example of treating heel spurs with folk remedies from personal experience:
I had spurs on my heels and suffered for two years. The hospital said that only surgery would help, but one woman, God bless her, advised her to be treated with urine.
Over the course of a day, the whole family collected a full pot of urine, which in the evening I heated to such a temperature that I could hold my feet in it. I hovered my legs until the urine became barely warm. After that, without wiping my feet, I put on my socks and went to bed. In the morning I washed my feet and started my work day. And in the evening I repeated the procedure again.
In total, I did this for 15 days, without missing a single day. And now fourteen years have passed since I got rid of those spurs.
I would like to tell readers of the newspaper a recipe for heel and plantar spurs. Recipe tested. And a lot of people use it.
Buy medical bile at the pharmacy. Steam your feet overnight by soaking them in hot water for half an hour. Then pour the bile onto a piece of cotton wool and place it only on the “spur” (a burn may occur on healthy skin). Cover with a piece of plastic and bandage. Put on a warm sock and go to bed.
In the morning you can remove the cotton wool, and if you want, leave it on for the whole day. But in the evening, be sure to steam your leg again and tie a soaked cotton wool overnight. And you need to do this every evening until the pain completely disappears.
One woman used the same cotton wool during the entire course. According to her, such cotton wool is well saturated with bile, and when steamed, the bile is absorbed deeper into the skin, and the treatment is more successful.
I got rid of heel spurs using foot massage rollers. After the bath, when the spurs softened somewhat, I rolled the soles of my feet and heels on the rollers for 2-5 minutes.
Since spurs form, as a rule, on the back side of the heel, I massaged this place more, placing the foot at an angle to the plane of the rollers (in order to break the spur more effectively, the legs should be placed straight and inclined to the left and right at an angle of 15 -30 degrees).
If you don’t have foot rollers, then you can use regular two- or three-row body massage rollers (manual) to achieve your goal.
And in order to quickly “roll out” the spur, you don’t have to wait for the next baths. You should steam your feet in hot water for 10-15 minutes, then wipe your feet dry, and then work on rollers. After 3-4 sessions, the spur will leave your leg.
And for prevention (so that the spur does not return), again, do not forget about the baths, after which you need to not only take care of your nails, but also massage the heels of your feet.
Willows will be guaranteed a “spurless” life for a long time.
Spurs in my heels and pain under my toes haunted me for a long time. I read in Rabochaya Gazeta that elderberry leaves should be placed on the spurs, and I decided to try this method. She placed wet elderberry leaves on the heel and under the toes, and put a sock on top. After two weeks, the spurs went away, but I continued to put in elderberry leaves until the fall.
Probably eight years have passed since I parted with Spurs.
I suffered greatly from spurs on my heels. I'll sit for a while, get up, and on my heel
I can't get up. And if I stepped on a pebble, I generally screamed out of pain in a voice that was not my own. No matter what I did, nothing helped. I even went to the hospital, where they prescribed treatment for me, alas.
One woman advised me to prepare a medicine from one glass of kerosene, a glass of ammonia, a glass of lean market oil, five hot peppers and a grain of “Extra” salt. I immediately poured a lot of salt into the ammonia (let it dissolve), then pepper (having thoroughly mashed it first), after which I poured in kerosene, and after that the vegetable oil.
I insisted for five days and applied compresses to my heel. She took a stick and wrapped a bandage around it. I held one edge of the bandage up with sticks so that the bandage would not fall into that tincture. after which she thoroughly shook it in the jar, pulled out a stick with a bandage and squeezed the bandage on the stick thoroughly. She took the bandage off the stick, folded it into six layers (although four layers are possible) and applied it to the heel. On top - special paper for a compress, and also wrapped in cellophane, putting a sock on top.
So I forgot what it’s like when my heels hurt.
I removed the spur thirty-five years ago, after which I recommended this recipe to everyone. And everyone who used it thanked me. But when I applied compresses from this tincture to my sore knees, it didn’t help, my knees still hurt.
If the portion is large, you can make half the portion (take half of all ingredients).
From heel spurs, take drops of valerian and drops of Zelenin in equal parts, mix, fold the gauze into four layers, moisten it in the composition and apply to the heels, wrapping it in cellophane on top. Then put on a sock and leave overnight. After 8-10 procedures, the spurs will disappear. I tested this remedy myself.
Dear editors of the newspaper “Granny (Recipes for 100 troubles)”! I want to thank you for the recipe for heel spurs using starch (pour 1 teaspoon of starch into a sock in the morning and walk all day, do this until the spur disappears). The spur disappeared within two weeks.
