How often do we repeat that movement is life. But what kind of life is this if the knee joints ache with endless pain (sorry for the tautology). With such pain, even young people turn into shuffling old men.
How to get rid of knee pain? There is a wonderful Chinese exercise that will eliminate pain and significantly alleviate the condition of a sick person, only if the pain is severe, you first need to relieve the acute inflammatory process.
Problems with the appearance of pain can be very different: inflammatory processes in the joints, salt deposits, injuries, etc., but the Chinese exercise can heal knees, regardless of the reasons for their occurrence.
As Chinese folk wisdom says: “There are many problems of knee pain, but there is only one cure. “Because there are reflexogenic points on the knees, which are responsible for the work and metabolism of the entire musculoskeletal system.
The exercise for knee pain is very simple. To perform the exercise you will need a soft mat. This could be felt, a soft carpet, a blanket or a special fitness mat.
O Get on your knees. If the pain is unbearable and you cannot kneel, clench your hands into fists and lean on them, transfer your weight to your hands and shoulder girdle. You can kneel next to the sofa and lean your elbows on it, relieving tension from your knees.
O Leaning on your fists, begin to move your knees, lifting them slightly and moving from foot to foot to find a place where you rest on your knees, when pressing on which you do not feel much pain.
O Begin to move, slightly raising one or the other knee, imitating the movement. You can even move in small steps, back and forth.
O If the pain is tolerable, then just kneel down and, swaying slightly, move from knee to knee, taking small steps. Carefully and gently knead the sore spots on your knees, transferring the weight of your body from one knee to the other as you move.
O When starting the exercise, do not do a heavy load, start with 2-3 minutes, focusing on how you feel, then gradually increase it. It is better to start the exercise in the morning; you can do it several times a day.
O You should definitely feel warmth in your knee joints, which means you’re doing everything right. And when you get back on your feet, you will feel more free movement of your legs and some relaxation in the joints and greater comfort.
If the pain is severe, before performing the exercise, you can rub your knees with a pain-relieving cream or rub, such as camphor oil - how to get rid of knee pain with exercise. Watch the video on how to get rid of knee pain with one exercise, in which Dr. Popov demonstrates this Chinese exercise.
For knee pain, traditional medicine offers a wide variety of remedies, read: folk remedies for knee pain.
Most often, pain and heaviness in the legs occurs due to simple fatigue. If symptoms appear from time to time, especially towards the end of the day, then there is no need to worry about any disease. After proper rest, the discomfort will go away.
If the discomfort does not go away within more than three days, then it is necessary to begin treatment with folk remedies. If you know that the pain is due to any disease, then you need to think about visiting a highly qualified doctor.
Pain and heaviness in the legs can occur as a result of various injuries: muscle strains, dislocations, muscle tears, fractures or sprains. Also, there are cases when pain develops gradually, as a result of regular wearing of uncomfortable shoes, excessive physical exertion, running on hard surfaces and performing exercises without warming up the muscles. Leg pain is quite often caused by obesity.
If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 96% of shampoos from popular brands contain components that poison our body. The main substances that cause all the troubles are designated on the labels as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate, PEG . These chemical components destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain this chemical. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.
If pain occurs almost every day in the evenings, then we can confidently say that the cause is fatigue. In this state, the energy reserves in the body are depleted and at this moment toxic metabolic products begin to accumulate in all muscles. In addition, the excitation of the nervous system increases.
Fatigue itself does not harm the body. If you give your muscles a full rest, then there will be no trace of pain and heaviness. But the main problem is that not everyone can fully relax.
Tense muscles can only fully relax if they are completely relaxed. It is very beneficial for your feet to lie down every evening, straighten your legs and place a small soft cushion under your calves; also, do not forget about regular massage of your feet and calves.
If pain in the legs does not go away for a long time, even after regular treatment with folk remedies, it is advisable to consult a doctor, since pain in the legs may indicate the presence of a serious disease.
The most common of them: endarteritis and atherosclerosis. In this group of diseases, in addition to pain and heaviness, cold feet are observed, and the pain increases significantly when walking.
If pain is observed in the knee and ankle joints, as well as on the first toe, this may indicate arthritis, gout or arthrosis.
One of the most common causes of heaviness and pain in the legs is varicose veins.
If you have pain in the lateral surface of your legs, then most likely the vein is osteochondrosis.
Everyone, even very young people, is constantly on their feet throughout the day. In this regard, towards the evening the legs become tired, swelling appears, and therefore heaviness appears.
Heaviness in the legs is most often caused by swelling, which appears due to obstruction of blood outflow. There can be a huge number of reasons for this. For example, metabolic disorders, problems related to the functioning of the heart or liver, or impaired kidney function. Subsequently, swelling in the legs can cause varicose veins.
Up to 5/6 of all people over the age of 35 suffer from joint pain in one form or another. These pains can be short-term or long-lasting, mild or intense, local or widespread - but they all significantly reduce the quality of life, and in some cases lead to disability. How to determine the cause of joint pain and get rid of it?
Joint pain, or arthralgia (Greek arthron - “joint” and algos - “pain”) can be observed in a variety of diseases - metabolic, rheumatic, tumor, systemic and acute infectious, endocrine and rheumatic. Therefore, it is a mistake to believe, and this is what the vast majority of people suffering from arthralgia and self-medicating believe, that pain in the joint is certainly caused by arthritis. Here it should be clarified that there are dozens of types of arthritis alone, and not all of them have pain symptoms.
Joint pain is caused by irritation of nerve endings coming from the synovial joint capsule (capsule), and irritants can be toxins, salt crystals (sodium or potassium urates), allergens, products of autoimmune processes, osteophytes and other inflammatory components.
Arthralgia is most often a harbinger or symptom of another serious disease, or may be an independent disease. For this reason, if you have joint pain of any intensity, but of sufficient duration, you should definitely undergo a medical examination.
The following diseases are most often the causes of arthralgia:
The above list is an illustration of how varied the causes of arthralgia can be and how important it is to undergo a comprehensive examination if prolonged or intense joint pain occurs.
Treatment of joint pain itself is symptomatic, that is, it is aimed at eliminating or reducing the pain syndrome. It is obvious that the relief of joint pain must inevitably be supplemented by treatment of the root cause of arthralgia, which must be identified using a number of diagnostic tests:
But regardless of the identified cause of joint pain, and also in the absence of direct contraindications, doctors most often prescribe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which have the ability to relieve pain, swelling, hyperemia, fever, lower temperature, and reduce inflammation. . In total, there are about 40 species, from the point of view of chemical structure, divided into several groups, most of which are derivatives of organic acids: aminoacetic, salicylic, propionic, heteroarylacetic, indole, enolic, and also derivatives of coxiba, pyrazolone and others.
Side effects of almost all NSAIDs include irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, since the drugs are acid-based, inhibition of platelet aggregation (reduced blood clotting) and impaired renal blood flow (in renal failure). Otherwise, if there are no individual contraindications, and there is a desire to follow all the doctor’s instructions, NSAID drugs are quite harmless.
The table below presents a comparative analysis of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, in terms of their analgesic and anti-inflammatory functions.
For joint pain, diclofenac sodium is most often prescribed, since it is balanced in its analgesic and anti-inflammatory syndrome, followed by indomethacin. However, for intense pain, the drug of choice is ketorolac and tenoxicam; with intramuscular or intravenous administration of the latter, in some cases, an analgesic effect can be achieved for up to 3 days. A significant difference between tenoxicam (Artoxan) and other NSAIDs is its universal mechanism of pain relief, in which the analgesic effect occurs both at the level of the central nervous system and in places of inflammatory processes, while diclofenac and indomethacin act only in peripheral tissues, and, for example, paracetamol - only at the level of the central nervous system. For this reason, to increase the analgesic effect, they sometimes resort to a combination of drugs, for example, diclofenac + paracetamol.
But effective treatment of joint pain is not limited to just taking NSAIDs, because after removing the primary or acute pain syndrome, it makes sense to move on to non-drug or homeopathic treatment, including some types of physiotherapy (SWT, magnetic therapy, ultrasound and electrical pulse therapy), exercises therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, swimming, etc. In addition, you should definitely review your diet and regimen.
A little-known method in Russia for treating not only joint pain syndromes, but also the causes of their occurrence is homeosynia - a German homeopathic technique from the founder of the pharmaceutical company Heel, scientist and physician Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg.
Homeosiniatry is one of the methods of homeopathic direction - homotoxicology. The concept of homotoxicology is based on the fact that the majority of all diseases are caused by the accumulation of homotoxins in the body - any toxic irritants that disrupt the normal functioning of the body. As classical medicine knows, half of all arthritis is a reaction to toxins. And most of all arthralgia are caused by arthritis or are their precursors.
Homeosynia involves microinjection of the most effective and modern homeopathic medicines from the world-famous Heel company into acupuncture points, that is, into biologically active points of the human body, when exposed to which the natural self-regulatory functions of the body are restored.
The choice of drugs and points of influence is carried out individually by a professional doctor, based on analyzes and data on previous diseases, taking into account current symptoms. As is known, homeopathic medicines are harmless, and only individual allergic intolerance may require replacing one homeopathic medicine with another.
The first homeosiniatric medical center in Russia is the One Schaden clinic - the only medical center in Moscow specialized in this technique. The method has been practiced at the One Schaden center for more than 10 years, and the qualifications of the doctors are beyond doubt: from 15 to 30 years of work in classical medicine in the areas of neurology, orthopedics and therapy. This suggests that the center’s doctors are specialists not only in the field of homeopathy, but also in traditional medical practice. Every year, the One Schaden Medical Center receives about 500 patients suffering from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including various diseases of the joints and spine.

How to get rid of joint pain forever.
Joint diseases are a common occurrence in outpatient practice. The causes of their occurrence can be injuries, infectious diseases, as well as hereditary factors.
As a result of constant or recurrent pain, people suffering from joint diseases are unable to lead an active lifestyle, play sports, and often do normal daily activities.
To avoid such problems, at the first signs of joint disease, you must consult a doctor promptly. You should also take preventive measures: avoid overload, hypothermia, and injury.
This book provides practical recommendations, but before applying them, you need to know the cause of the pain.
Chapter 1 describes the characteristic signs of joint diseases. The practical part of the book contains such treatment methods as herbal medicine, therapeutic massage, baths, metal therapy, and also talks about the treatment of joint diseases with beekeeping products and with the help of baths and saunas.
1. Diseases of the joints.
Severe joint pain occurs as a result of injury or joint disease. When examining a damaged joint, swelling, accumulation of fluid in the joint cavity, changes in bone tissue, deformation of articular cartilage, destruction of the capsule, etc. are usually detected.
All joint diseases are divided into 2 groups: arthritis and arthrosis. The first group represents diseases of an inflammatory nature, the second – premature wear of articular cartilage.
The most common cause of joint pain in people over 40 years of age is osteoarthritis.
Less common are rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
The cause of joint pain in children is usually injuries and congenital disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
In addition, inflammatory diseases can be the cause of pain.
Joint diseases are dangerous because they limit movement, as a result of which a person cannot lead an active lifestyle. That is why if you experience joint pain, you should consult a doctor.
The main cause of joint pain is arthritis. Signs of this disease are pain in the joint, especially when moving, limitation of its mobility, swelling of the joint, change in shape, redness of the skin. Often the listed symptoms of arthritis are accompanied by an increase in body temperature.
There is a disease of one joint (monoarthritis) and several joints (polyarthritis).
The causes of arthritis can be infectious diseases, septic and focal infections. Arthritis can be the result of injury, an allergic reaction, metabolic disorders, diseases of the nervous system, or lack of vitamins.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease of connective tissue that affects the joints of the extremities. Due to the inflammatory process, the synovial membrane, articular cartilage and joint capsule are affected. This leads to displacement and deformation of the articular surfaces of the bones.
The causes of rheumatoid arthritis are still unknown. Presumably, this disease is of infectious viral origin. Arthritis occurs as a complication after an infectious viral disease, as well as against the background of a genetic predisposition. Joint deformation occurs due to the appearance of special connective tissue that grows around the joint, which destroys the articular cartilage, replacing it, and makes the joint partially or completely immobile.
Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by chronic inflammation of all the small joints of the hands and feet. The pain, as a rule, is paroxysmal in nature, occurs periodically and lasts from several hours to several days. With each attack of pain, new joints are destroyed.
At the initial stage of the disease, slight pain in the joints appears. The attacks are most intense in the second half of the night and in the morning. In the morning, there may be stiffness in movement.
At the stage of exacerbation of the disease, a significant increase in temperature and acute pain in the affected joint are observed.
The gradual development of the disease is characterized by increasing pain and swelling of the joint. The stiffness of movements is insignificant, body temperature is within normal limits.
Rheumatoid arthritis begins with damage to the small wrist, metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints. Later, the shoulder and hip joints are affected; pain occurs several years after the onset of the disease, usually in the last stage. At the same time, the ankle joint and spinal joints begin to ache.
Rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by symmetrical joint damage. Sometimes rheumatoid nodules appear, which are dense round formations measuring 2–3 cm. They usually appear in the area of the elbow joint, Achilles tendon and ischial tuberosities. Sometimes nodules appear in the area of small joints of the hands and feet. They can be located subcutaneously or in the tendons. As the disease progresses, the size of the nodules changes. During the remission stage, they may disappear completely.
Muscle atrophy is observed near the affected joints. During the development of the disease, a special protein appears in the blood - microglobulin, which is considered a rheumatoid factor; with a long course of the disease, anemia and leukopenia develop. At the advanced stage of the disease, deformation of the hands and feet, as well as necrosis in the nail area, is observed.
In articular-visceral forms of rheumatoid arthritis, in addition to the joints, the heart, lungs, kidneys and central nervous system are affected. In rare cases, eye damage may occur.
One of the forms of manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis is septic. It is characterized by chills, profuse sweating, muscle atrophy, enlarged liver and lymph nodes.
Infectious forms of arthritis.
Infectious forms of arthritis include ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter's syndrome, Sjögren's syndrome, etc.
Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease. It affects the joints of the axial skeleton: intervertebral, costovertebral, sacroiliac. The causes of the disease are unknown. Men are most susceptible to this disease.
Characteristic signs of ankylosing spondylitis are inflammation of the places of attachment to the bone of tendons, ligaments, the fibrous part of the intervertebral discs, and joint capsules. In addition, inflammation of the bones that form the joint may occur.
This disease is characterized by the absence of rheumatoid factor in the blood and subcutaneous nodules, as well as damage to peripheral joints. With ankylosing spondylitis, back pain, inflammation of the eyes and the development of psoriasis, and inflammatory processes in the genitourinary system may also appear.
This disease is characterized by a severe form of chronic polyarthritis, splenomegaly and leukopenia, anemia, and increased ESR. In addition, the formation of rheumatoid nodules is observed. People suffering from Sheltie syndrome are susceptible to the development of infectious inflammatory processes and have an elevated temperature. This disease is most often observed in women.
This disease is characterized by prolonged septic-type fever, chills, sweating, and in some cases, the appearance of a rash.
This form of rheumatoid arthritis affects 3-4 large or small joints, usually the wrist, carpometacarpal, tarsal, shoulder and hip. In rare cases, severe pain in the neck and limited mobility occur.
This syndrome is the most severe form of rheumatoid arthritis. Young people are most susceptible to this disease.
Characteristic symptoms are chills and profuse sweating, muscle atrophy, narrowing of the joint space and rash, as well as damage to the eyes and central nervous system. The disease develops very quickly and is accompanied by severe damage to internal organs.
This disease usually develops with Bechter's syndrome, Reiter's syndrome and other infectious diseases and is characterized by inflammation of the joints of the spine. Most often, pain occurs in the lumbosacral region as a result of damage to the sacroiliac joints.
The patient feels stiffness of movement, the pain intensifies when moving, and weakens when at rest. Quite often, spondyloarthritis is accompanied by arthritis of the joints of the extremities, as well as damage to the tendons at the places of their attachment to the bones. In addition, with spondyloarthritis, vision deteriorates, the heart and other organs suffer. As a result of blocking of the intervertebral joints, severe pain occurs.
When diagnosing spondyloarthritis, an x-ray examination is performed.
Non-infectious forms of arthritis.
Non-infectious forms of arthritis include osteoarthritis (deforming arthritis), endocrinopathic arthritis, and arthritis that occurs due to metabolic disorders.
Osteoarthritis is one of the most common joint diseases. As a rule, it affects older people; in young people this disease occurs much less frequently, but in a more severe form. The causes of the disease are unknown.
Osteoarthritis is especially dangerous because this disease causes premature wear of the articular cartilage as a result of metabolic disorders in it. Bone tissue grows on the surface of the affected joint (exostosis), which leads to significant deformation of the joint. Exostoses injure the soft tissue of the joint, resulting in inflammation.
At the initial stage of the disease, the patient feels pain in the joints after physical activity or at the end of the day. After rest, the pain usually disappears. After this, with certain movements, attacks of acute pain appear due to infringement of the free intra-articular bodies. Gradually, deformation of the joint occurs. There is no increase in body temperature or inflammatory processes.
Most often, osteoarthritis affects the joints of the terminal phalanges of the fingers. There are also frequent cases of damage to the knee, hip joints and spine.
An X-ray examination reveals a narrowing of the joint space, flattening of the articular surfaces and bone growths.
This disease usually affects women during menopause. In addition, people suffering from thyroid dysfunction and overweight are susceptible to endocrinopathic arthritis.
If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you should consult a doctor promptly and begin treatment. Regular therapy will help avoid relapses of the disease.
The characteristic features of the course of the disease are the same as for mild osteoarthritis.
This disease affects people whose work involves stress on their joints. This form of arthritis can also occur under the influence of a number of unfavorable factors: prolonged stay in a cold room or in a room with high humidity, heavy physical activity, sudden temperature fluctuations, alcohol abuse.
Characteristic signs of occupational arthritis are aching pain in the joints, especially with sudden changes in weather and infectious diseases, as well as limited joint mobility. No inflammatory processes or joint deformation are observed. Body temperature remains within normal limits.
Acute purulent arthritis
This disease is the most severe of local purulent infections. The cause of its occurrence is joint injuries.
As a rule, the larger the joint, the more severe the inflammatory process. The most dangerous is purulent arthritis, accompanied by damage to the bones and soft tissues surrounding the joint.
With purulent arthritis, the patient feels acute pain in the joint, especially when moving, swelling and deformation of the joint appear. The course of the disease is accompanied by an increase in the patient’s body temperature.
Traumatic arthritis occurs with closed injuries to large joints, accompanied by hemorrhage into the joint area. The severity of the disease is determined by the presence of destruction inside the joint and the amount of blood shed. In this case, the joint is in an unnatural position, fluid accumulates in it.
In case of severe hemorrhage, the patient undergoes a puncture and suction of blood from the joint. After some time, when the swelling begins to subside, a light massage of the muscles in the area of the damaged joint, as well as warm paraffin and air baths, are prescribed. Subsequently, therapeutic exercises are prescribed.
In children, arthritis occurs in the same way as in adults, but with more severe consequences, impairing the growth of the limb with a damaged joint.
Children's arthritis is divided into acute and chronic. Acute arthritis develops as a result of infectious diseases such as pneumonia, meningitis, sepsis, etc. Chronic childhood arthritis includes tuberculosis, brucellosis and Still's disease.
Characteristic features of the disease are pain in the joints when moving and the appearance of swelling.
Arthrosis is a common name for diseases of the joints that arise as a result of malnutrition of the articular ends of the bones. Similar processes occur as a result of injuries, physical overload, intoxication of the body, as well as arthritis.
At the initial stage of the disease, attacks of pain are minor and short-lived. After the massage, the pain goes away, but reappears with movement or physical activity. The pain increases gradually, aggravation is observed with overwork. Gradually, attacks occur more often, the pain intensifies due to the destruction of articular cartilage and bone tissue of the epiphyses. The soft tissues around the joint become inflamed. The mobility of the joint is limited to the point of complete immobility.
Arthrosis affects both large and small joints of the spine. Particularly susceptible to arthrosis are the metatarsophalangeal joints of the toes, hip and knee joints, as well as the distal and proximal interphalangeal joints of the bones and the metacarpophalangeal joints of the fingers. The shoulder, elbow and ankle joints are much less commonly affected by arthrosis.
Osteochondrosis is a disease of the spine that affects the intervertebral discs and joints, usually in the neck and lower back.
Characteristic signs of osteochondrosis are pain in a certain part of the spine, as well as disruption of the normal functioning of internal organs. The cause of constant pain is the tension of the ligaments that strengthen the spine, as well as muscle tension.
Often pain with osteochondrosis radiates to the shoulders, arms and legs; such pain is called radiculitis. In addition, a patient with osteochondrosis experiences headaches resulting from impaired cerebral circulation.
With osteochondrosis, deformation of the intervertebral disc occurs, which puts pressure on nearby nerve endings, causing pain. Subsequently, the intervertebral disc is completely destroyed, the bone structure of the vertebrae is damaged, growths - osteophytes - appear on them, as a result of which the spine loses flexibility over time.
According to statistics, 70% of people worldwide suffer from osteochondrosis. It has been established that men suffer from this disease much more severely than women.
When the fibrous ring is destroyed, the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc is displaced, which leads to the appearance of a hernia.
As the disease develops, pathological growth of bone tissue occurs, as a result of which the intervertebral foramina narrow and compress the nerve endings emerging from the spinal cord.
Acute pain in the spine that often accompanies this disease is called lumbago. It occurs due to the fact that cracks form in intervertebral discs that are susceptible to dystrophy, and certain parts of the disc are displaced during sudden movements or physical overload. This leads to irritation of nearby nerve endings, causing pain and tonic muscle tension. During an attack, movement increases pain.
Pain in the cervical spine (cervicalgia), as well as in the cervical spine and arm (cervicobrachialgia), usually occurs after physical activity, sudden movement of the neck, and also after prolonged stay in one position. This is accompanied by tension in the neck muscles and limitation of movement in the cervical region.
Pain in the lower back and back of the leg (lumbar sciatica) occurs after physical exertion, sudden movements, and as a result of hypothermia. Nagging pain intensifies when walking and is accompanied by muscular-tonic syndrome without sensory disorder.
Myofascial pain occurs when muscles are tense, as well as trigger points are activated, which are the source of pain. Pain occurs only when pressure is applied to trigger points, so myofascial pain goes away at rest.
For people suffering from osteochondrosis, spinal massage and therapeutic exercises are recommended. In addition, you should avoid overexertion, prolonged work in one position, as well as damp and cold rooms.
This is a disease of the joint of the big toe, accompanied by pain.
Gout develops due to the deposition of salts in the joints, as well as in other tissues. Older men are most susceptible to gout. In women, this disease is usually accompanied by a curvature of the big toe and the appearance of a bump on the foot, which periodically becomes inflamed.
The cause of gout is a metabolic disorder. If the normal functioning of the enzymes that control the production of uric acid is disrupted, its concentration in the blood increases, resulting in the deposition of urate in the form of crystals, usually in the synovium and cartilage of the joint.
A characteristic symptom of gout at the initial stage is arthritis. Most often, the patient feels acute pain in the affected joint, which begins at night and intensifies in the morning. In addition, swelling and redness of the skin in the joint area are observed. After this, the pain suddenly stops. During attacks, damage to the foot joint occurs. After a few days, the arthritis goes away, but the attacks recur and become more intense.
With gout, tophi usually form - painless formations measuring 2-3 cm. They form under the skin in the area of the elbow joints, as well as in the area of the ears. In addition, gout is often accompanied by obesity, hypertension and atherosclerosis. As the disease progresses, uric acid is deposited in the kidneys, leading to kidney failure.
In order to treat gout, relief of acute arthritis with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is used. To reduce the level of uric acid in the blood, a special diet, mainly plant-based, is recommended. If the diet does not give the desired effect, the doctor prescribes anti-gout drugs that slow down the formation of uric acid or speed up the process of its removal from the body. For overweight people, a strict diet is recommended.
There are many treatment methods aimed at getting rid of joint pain - such as baths, rubbing, massage, hirudotherapy, gymnastics, etc. If the cause of the pain is any infectious disease, it also needs to be treated.
In this chapter we will talk about accessible and effective methods of traditional medicine that allow you to get rid of joint pain in a relatively short time.
Gradually, people are becoming convinced that the key to health and longevity lies in the great cycle of life processes - in nature. Thanks to targeted searches, the plant world reveals its gifts to us. Traditional medicine recipes widely used in world medicine are a clear example of the fact that the solution to many health-related problems should be sought in nature.
The plant world is the greatest miracle of nature, the kingdom of youth and health. Each plant contains the most diverse and beneficial substances for humans.
Most plants have passed through centuries and given health to dozens of generations. Having entered modern medicine, they still continue to heal ailments.
Herbal medicine, or herbal treatment, is one of the most ancient sciences, combining the experience of ancient folk medicine from different countries. Herbal medicine is also commonly called the pantry of health. Is this a coincidence? Indeed, in the distant past, the best minds in medicine were engaged in herbal medicine.
In folk medicine, not only edible but also medicinal plants were widely used. Traditional medicine was not limited only to herbal products recommended for treatment, but also sought out plants suitable for treatment in fresh form, ways to increase the period of their possible use, especially using them for the so-called spring treatment.
As is known, during autumn-winter storage in plant products the content of vitamins, essential oils and organic acids is significantly reduced. Therefore, the great representatives of traditional medicine recommended consuming wild greens in the spring. Many plants were collected in April and even in March, for example, leaves of bearberry, young nettle, plantain, dandelion, St. John's wort, etc.
Wild greens that appear in early spring are especially rich in vitamins and microelements, in particular carotene, ascorbic acid, alkaline salts, and iron, which are necessary for the normal functioning of the digestive system.
Various infusions with healing properties were prepared from fresh herbs.
Spring plants are rich in phytoncides, folic acid and other vitamins. Due to the content of phytoncides, fresh greens cleanse the oral cavity of microbes and also help normalize the functioning of the digestive system. Folic acid causes increased secretion of digestive juices, which promotes complete absorption of food.
Recently, juices from fresh fruits and berries, in addition to their pleasant taste, have preventive and medicinal properties, have become especially popular. In domestic herbal medicine, not only fruit juices are widely used, but also juices of medicinal plants. The juices of trees, such as birch, linden, oak, and fruit trees, are also widely used to treat many ailments.
Preparations of medicinal plants for oral administration.

Currently, there are many massage techniques used in medical practice. Quite often, various techniques are combined to produce a new effect.
For arthritis, arthrosis, gout, and osteochondrosis, a well-executed massage can be a wonderful remedy for relieving pain and fatigue. The healing properties of massage are associated with its beneficial effect on the circulation of blood, lymph, interstitial fluid, as a result of which metabolism is significantly accelerated, stagnation in muscle tissue is eliminated, which has a positive effect on the general condition of the body.
The effect of massage improves blood supply to the joints and adjacent tissues, accelerates the formation of synovial fluid, as a result of which the ligaments become more elastic.
With regular massage you can not only get rid of pain, but also prevent it. In addition, timely massage prevents damage to cartilage tissue, leading to the development of arthrosis.
The effectiveness of massage is determined by techniques, techniques, as well as the duration and strength of the impact on a particular part of the body. Let's talk about this in more detail.
Rules for massage.
The massage therapist's hands must be clean, so you need to wash them before starting the session. The person receiving the massage should take the most comfortable position possible.
The massage therapist's movements should be made in the direction of blood and lymph flow. Thus, the hands should be massaged towards the elbow and axillary areas, the legs - towards the popliteal and groin areas, the back - from the spine to the sides to the axillary regions, the neck - from the border of the hairline downwards.
The massage therapist’s actions, especially when massaging joints, should not cause pain. When performing any technique, it is necessary to observe a certain rhythm, tempo of movements and force of pressure.
There are two forms of massage:
– private, or local, when a specific part of the body is massaged separately;
– general, in which the whole body is massaged.
The following types of massage are distinguished:
The optimal time for therapeutic massage for joint diseases is early morning and evening. This massage will speed up blood flow to the joint and relieve swelling, if any.
When performing a massage, the following techniques are used in the order in which they are performed:
– active and passive movements with resistance;
As a rule, the massage begins with this technique. In addition, stroking is used as an intermediate technique between other techniques.
When stroking, press your palm tightly against the skin, closing four fingers and moving the fifth to the side. The pressure should be such that the palm moves freely over the surface of the skin without causing discomfort.
Stroking must be soft and smooth. This technique is performed in such a way that the palm slowly slides from the periphery to the center, towards the lymph nodes of the massaged area.
For better gliding of hands over the surface of the skin, it is recommended to use talc.
The rubbing technique involves displacement or stretching of tissues in various directions. When rubbing, the hand does not slide over the skin, but moves with it.
This technique has a deep effect on the massaged area and is carried out along the blood flow.
Rubbing is performed with the base of the palm, the tubercles of the thumbs, the pads of the index and middle fingers, the ulnar edge of the hand, the bony protrusions of the phalanges of the fingers clenched into a fist, with one or two hands longitudinally, transversely, in a circle, in a spiral.
Kneading is the main massage technique for joint pain, which takes up most of the session time.
Kneading is the continuous grasping, lifting, squeezing and displacement of tissue.
This technique includes several steps:
– laying a hand on a joint;
– pressing the skin covering the joint towards the massaging hand;
– gripping and squeezing the skin between the fingers;
– displacement of the skin towards the thumb;
– returning the skin to its place;
– pressing the skin to the bone with the heel of the palm.
Kneading is performed by continuously moving from one phase to another.
The effleurage technique includes rhythmic and as frequent light strokes as possible, performed by various parts of the hand and fingers.
When performing tapping, the distance between the hands should be 2–4 cm.
Tapping is carried out across the course of the muscle fibers due to the fastest possible movements in the elbow joints performed by the right and left hands.
As an effective painkiller, it is recommended to take an infusion of peppermint leaves, valerian root and crushed hop cones, poured into 200 ml of boiling water and left for 30 minutes. Take 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day.
When tapping, the massage therapist’s hands should be as relaxed as possible, and the movements should be light and rhythmic. When performing tapping, the movement should not involve the shoulder joints, since in this case the blows will be rough, which is absolutely unacceptable when performing therapeutic massage.
This technique is a type of so-called vibration massage and is characterized by the use of fast oscillatory and jerking movements that cause tissue shaking. This technique is usually used on large joints.
Shaking should be done with one hand, the palm of the hand and fingers, or only one fingers. Lightly pressing the palm and fingers on the joint, make quick oscillatory movements to the sides.
Movements in massage are understood as elementary motor acts characteristic of a particular joint. This technique is especially important for diseases of the joints, as it helps to increase their mobility, as well as accelerate the flow of blood and lymph in the vessels, remove decay products from the tissues of the joint capsule and reduce muscle spasms.
Movements in the joints are alternated with various massage techniques described above.
Massage for osteochondrosis.
Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine is determined by pain in the occipital and interscapular areas, neck, heaviness in the shoulders, as well as limited mobility of the neck. In rare cases, these signs are accompanied by numbness of the fingers during sleep and dizziness. Rapid fatigue of the neck and back also indicates osteochondrosis.
Osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine manifests itself in a constant feeling of fatigue and pain when bending the body forward, coughing, laughing, or overexertion. In this case, hypertrophy of the gluteal muscles, muscles of the thighs and legs may also occur.
For acute pain, massage is not recommended. During this period, compresses and lotions with herbs should be used. When the patient's condition improves, massage sessions should be limited to 5–7 minutes. When performing massage techniques, you must follow the rules of massage. Before starting a massage, you should clarify whether the patient has diseases of the cardiovascular system. It is also necessary to remember that with osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, the occipital nerves are also affected.

However, it should be noted that long-term consumption of pollen is unsafe, in particular for people suffering from diseases of the cardiovascular system. Therefore, after a course of treatment with pollen, a break of 6-12 months is necessary.

Metals have been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. The effect of therapy is explained by the fact that when the metal comes into contact with the skin, an electrical discharge is generated. For the purpose of treatment, primarily precious metals were used - gold and silver.
It is known that solutions of gold salts have a detrimental effect on many pathogens. Modern medicine uses drugs containing gold, but they are not suitable for all patients - in 30% of patients these drugs cause complications.
Nowadays, massive gold jewelry has become quite popular, but it is also not suitable for everyone.
The disinfectant properties of silver are known to everyone. Previously, it was customary to throw silver coins into the water or keep water in silver jugs; nowadays, water is disinfected using silver electrodes. However, it should be borne in mind that an excess of silver in the body leads to argyrosis - metal deposition in the skin, mucous membranes and internal organs.
Metal therapy is currently gaining renewed interest.
Recommendations also include wearing massive silver jewelry. If this metal suits you, jewelry made from it can be a cure for many diseases.
However, the most healing metal from a medical point of view is copper. Currently, you can find many copper rings and bracelets in jewelry stores, but here, too, the individual characteristics of the body should be taken into account.
The so-called coupling was described by E. S. Velkhover and G. S. Kushnir in the book “Skin Exteroceptors.” If the copper disc is held on the patient's skin and the color of the skin underneath gradually changes, this means that the patient is suitable for copper treatment.
If there is no linkage, the therapy will not only not help the patient, but will also cause a number of complications. It happens that on one part of the body the copper disk holds well, but on another there is no adhesion. In this case, the copper disc should be used only in those areas where there is adhesion.
For gout, place a copper coin in your shoes so that it comes into contact with the affected joint and wear it for 7 days.
For endocrinopathic arthritis and osteoarthritis, apply a copper coin to the affected joint for 1–2 hours.
