The impetus for the creation of this picture was the well-known fairy tale about a goldfish that fulfilled the wishes of an old fisherman. I approached this plot with humor and imagined that there is not just one fish, but many of them - and they can fulfill many wishes. Goldfish are swimming towards you, they are ready to fulfill your desires, but the main question is whether these fulfilled desires will bring you happiness and freedom or additional problems in life. The ability to choose what is truly necessary from what you want is the basis of wisdom. How can one not recall Socrates, who, walking through the market, said: “What a blessing that there are so many things that I don’t need.” We often don’t think that when we acquire a new thing, we also acquire new worries. For example, the owner of a car needs to insure it, undergo an annual technical inspection, periodically change tires according to the time of year, take care of a parking space, fill the car with high-quality gasoline and, finally, need good roads. Concerns are also associated with the presence of a summer house - this applies to almost any movable and immovable property.
