“Wild meat” is one of the types of pathology of the nail plate, when it grows into the nail fold or soft tissues of the foot. The big toes are most often affected, and the rest less often. The disease occurs frequently and regardless of age.
An ingrown toenail causes pain around the nail fold, which gets worse when you walk.
Over time, pathological granulations (“wild meat”) begin to grow at the location of the wound. Their color is similar to that of raw meat, hence the name "wild meat". As a result of their occurrence, walking becomes even more difficult, and the disease takes on a chronic form.
If you have an ingrown toenail, it is recommended to take foot baths with warm water every day, adding salt to it (they soften the skin of the foot and the nail plate). Between the skin roller and the nail, you need to place a strip of bandage soaked in a chlorhexidine solution (it needs to be changed as soon as it dries).
Special brackets or springs are used to prevent mechanical impact on the affected area due to an ingrown toenail. The need for surgical intervention arises after the formation of pathological granulations (“wild meat”) and the presence of purulent discharge.
After 3 months, the nail will grow back, at which time the unprotected nail bed will be easily subject to mechanical stress. However, there is no guarantee that the nail will not grow back.
At home, use folk remedies by:
You can prepare a product that is used for compresses: mix 1 chicken yolk with 1 tsp. rendered internal fat and 1 tsp. vinegar. The mixture is applied to the toe and a bandage is applied on top.
About such a problem as an ingrown toenail. many people know. The pathology mainly affects the big toes and is characterized by three stages of its development. At the initial stage, the disease is accompanied by painful swelling near the nail tissue. At the second stage, an infection of the limb occurs, a purulent process appears due to the ingrowth of the nail into the tissue of the finger. The third stage of this pathology is considered the most difficult, which is characterized by the appearance of wild meat: the tissue increases in volume, the acute process of inflammation becomes chronic. To be fair, we note that this situation arises only if the patient delays treatment of the ingrown toenail. And even in such cases, you can save your finger. How? Our experts will tell you about this.
Therapy for such pathology can be divided into two groups, the first of which is traditional treatment, and the second is home treatment, using folk remedies. Let's consider each of the therapeutic techniques separately.
Getting rid of wild meat using laser therapy allows you to get rid of excess tissue and even damaged nail plates in the shortest possible time and without pain. There are no scars left from using this technique. The laser removes only diseased tissue without affecting healthy tissue. The nail plate is cut, and all excess is carefully removed. The free space on the finger is cauterized with a laser to prevent recurrence of the disease. The entire procedure takes 10 minutes at most. Recovery is quick, and the operation itself is performed under local anesthesia.
This is a surgical method of removing wild meat, which involves the use of a scalpel and a special radio wave device. First, small pieces are cut off from the side parts of the nail, after which the growth zone of the nail plate is treated with a radio wave device. In just a few seconds, the fabric adheres. The nail is treated with an antiseptic and secured with a bandage. After 3-5 days the wound heals.
This method of treating wild meat is similar to putting braces on your teeth. A thin layer of photopolymer glue is applied to the cleaned and degreased nail plate, after which metal wires are glued, which provide the nail with the correct shape. Gel is added on top to smooth the surface of the plate. This technique is good because the wire is not felt when walking, allowing the nail to grow correctly.
This operation is performed only in severe cases when it is impossible to save the nail plate using any other method. Removal is performed under local anesthetic. The wound is then treated and covered with a bandage. After the operation, a healthy nail grows, but the entire rehabilitation process takes from two to three weeks, and painful sensations may occur periodically.
In case of severe inflammation and suppuration, the use of softening baths with antiseptic solutions, as well as the use of ointments, will help get rid of wild meat on an ingrown nail. Ichthyol ointment is considered the best in the fight against this pathology. Compresses from this remedy are good at drawing out pus. By morning, the ointment will make the tissues soft, so they can be easily removed with scissors.
Iodine is also considered a good wild meat remover. Cotton strands are moistened with it and placed under the deformed corners of the nail. With proper use of iodine, the discomfort caused by the growth of wild meat can be permanently eliminated. You should treat your nails with this product three times a day.
Levomekol ointment also eliminates inflammation, which is why it is recommended to use it as a compress for severely swollen fingers. If you want to prepare a homemade ointment for treating wild meat, then use the following recipe: mix one chicken egg yolk with 1 tbsp. a spoonful of vinegar and the same amount of melted fat. Coat your finger with the resulting mixture before going to bed and wrap it with a sterile bandage. This procedure should be carried out until the inflammation goes away. Areas of damaged tissue can then be removed using scissors.
If you are not confident in your abilities, do not self-medicate! Traditional medicine offers many methods for quickly eliminating wild meat on the nail. By turning to official therapy, you will quickly get rid of an ingrown toenail and protect yourself from various complications associated with this disease.

It has long been considered good form to have a pedicure and manicure. Moreover, this applies not only to women, but also to men. Well-groomed skin, straight nails, no hangnails - all these are signs of a person who occupies a significant level of life. In addition to the aesthetic side, many medical problems are solved in this way. Unfortunately, sometimes inflammatory processes appear after them. For example, wild meat. We will consider the treatment below.
Scientifically, an ingrown toenail is called onychocryptosis. It occurs for various reasons. Characterized by inflammation and pain. Most often it occurs due to improper pedicure.
Many people do not know how to cut their nails correctly, and this entails a lot of complications. So, it is a mistake to cut your nails at an angle or along an oval line. It is important to cut only in a straight line and only those areas that extend beyond the nail fold, since short-cut nails under the pressure of shoes begin to dig into the skin tissue.
Many women, in pursuit of fashion, wear uncomfortable clothes and shoes. And tight and narrow shoes, squeezing the fingers, deform the nail plates and disrupt their growth line. This is why children rarely get wild meat, since they mostly wear comfortable shoes.
Sometimes the growth of the nail plate changes under the influence of mechanical trauma. Therefore, after hitting your finger, try to properly care for it, this way you will prevent wild meat near the nail. Treatment always begins with identifying the cause of its occurrence.
Do not neglect to see a doctor. Especially if there are risk factors such as diabetes or narrowing of blood vessels. Since they can aggravate the disease and lead to serious consequences, for example, gangrene.
The doctor assesses how deeply the nail has grown, chooses a treatment regimen and prescribes medications if necessary. Also, if purulent discharge appears, the wound is cleaned and antibiotics are prescribed.
Sometimes treating wild meat on the big toe requires surgery. So, in severe cases, partial or complete removal of the affected area is required. If a fungal infection is confirmed, the entire nail plate must be removed, since the fungus affects it completely.
Methods for treating wild meat near the nail are not limited to traditional medicine. Folk remedies are also effective. For example, you can use the following compress: chop an onion and mix it with a spoon of honey, apply the resulting mixture to the affected area and leave it overnight. This achieves softening of the plate. After which the ingrown area is carefully lifted from the nail fold and removed.
When a person has wild meat near their nail, they want to start treatment as quickly as possible. Effective use of butter. They need to lubricate the nail, covering it with film at night. In the morning, carefully lift the ingrown area of the nail, placing cotton wool with butter under it. As a rule, the procedure must be repeated for two weeks.
“Wild meat” is one of the types of pathology of the nail plate, when it grows into the nail fold or soft tissues of the foot. The big toes are most often affected, and the rest less often. The disease occurs frequently and regardless of age.
Reasons why a nail becomes ingrown:
An ingrown toenail can result from:
A small ulcer is visually noticeable in an area that is constantly exposed to injury. After infection, purulent discharge may appear.
If such symptoms are detected, you should contact a surgeon. A blood sugar test is prescribed to rule out diabetes. If a fungal infection is suspected, treatment is prescribed by a dermatologist (without curing the cause of the pathology, it is impossible to get rid of the consequences). This problem is not observed on the finger.
When there are no complications, treatment is carried out at home. As long as there is no infection, there are minor pathological granulations, conservative methods are used. Mechanical effects should be eliminated (wear loose or open-toed shoes, do not cut your nails short).
Under local anesthesia, the nail plate is removed completely or part of it.
To increase the effectiveness of the procedure, simultaneously with the removal of part of the nail plate and pathological granulations, plastic surgery of the periungual fold is performed.
Laser correction is also used (less traumatic method).
To eliminate inflammation, baths with infusions of medicinal herbs (yarrow, St. John's wort, sage, chamomile) are used. It is necessary to wear loose shoes and lubricate the area near the ingrown toenail with ioduxunum 4 times daily. You cannot try to remove the nail plate or soft tissue on your own!
In advanced cases, when suppuration appears, treatment with antibiotics in the form of ointment or injections into the affected area is required. These drugs are used only as prescribed by a doctor.
In other words, wild meat is an ingrown toenail. When, as a result of external influence, it begins to grow into the nail fold. Most often, the toes are affected, as they are exposed to traumatic conditions due to shoes. This is especially true for the thumbs. Less commonly, fingernails grow ingrown. If left untreated, the inflammatory process intensifies and leads to the appearance of pus and ulcers. And this in turn leads to blood poisoning.
For example, such a defect often occurs as a consequence of transverse flatfoot. Since due to the thickening of the arches of the feet, the load on the toes changes and this causes deformation of the nails. Accordingly, first you need to remove the cause of the anomaly. Nails can also grow ingrown as a result of damage to the nail plate by a fungal infection, which precisely contributes to the deformation.
If everything is clear with your toes, then with your fingernails - no. Wild meat near the nail: treatment on the hand is no different from treatment on the toes. Most often, the nail on the hand grows due to the development of a fungal infection or injury. Sometimes it is a consequence of improper manicure, in which the corners of the nails are cut off excessively, after which the growth of the plate is deformed. After which the lateral rollers and cuticle are injured. In advanced cases, suppuration and inflammation appear.
Treatment of an ingrown toenail depends on the stage of development of the inflammatory process, since at the initial stage the symptoms are redness and swelling at the site of the ingrown nail. With further development, pus appears, and the area of the ingrown nail feels like a foreign body causing discomfort. In severe cases, as the disease progresses, skin growths appear, which are popularly called wild meat. It is this that provokes further deformation of the nail plate. In rare cases, the process can also affect the bones of the foot.
Some people are confident that they can deal with an ingrown toenail on their own. At the initial stage, you can try to do this yourself. To do this, it is important to determine the root cause of the condition and eliminate it. For example, if your shoes are uncomfortable, change them.
Traditional medicine offers several treatment regimens for ingrown toenails. In general, they are divided into conservative and surgical. There are also traditional methods, but we will consider them below. So, if you have wild meat near a toenail or fingernail, treatment should begin immediately.
Conservative intervention is possible only in the first stages of the disease. The main goal is to correct the nail line and remove the ingrown piece. A number of recommendations apply for this. For example, it is recommended to wear comfortable and roomy shoes. To soften the nail plate and remove pus, use warm baths with the addition of an antiseptic. Afterwards, a piece of the ingrown nail is carefully removed. Another way to correct nail growth is to place a piece of cotton wool or a bandage between the ingrown part and the skin. In this way, everything is corrected in about two months.
Special brackets and plates have a similar effect. They attach to the nail and lift the ingrown piece, changing the growth line. It's a bit like braces. The correction period is approximately two months.
One of the modern treatment methods is laser removal of fungus. It has been proven to effectively clear spores from the affected area. Another innovative treatment method is the radio wave method. It is carried out using a special apparatus and is a type of surgical intervention.
In any case, if wild meat appears on your nails, do not delay treatment and be sure to consult a doctor.
“Wild meat” is a pathology of the nail plate in which it grows into the skin (nail fold, soft tissue). The big toe often suffers from this pathology. The incidence of this disease does not depend on age and gender.
Why and how? The reasons for the development of this pathology are:
Wild meat develops in several stages:
Characteristic symptoms that may indicate the onset of the development of pathology:
As long as there are no complications, wild meat can be treated at home using traditional methods, among the effective ones:
For those who constantly experience the problem of ingrown nails, there is only one solution - carefully monitor the condition of the nails and constantly trim and grind them. In this case, you need to remove 2/3 of the thickness using a nail file. This will make it possible to thin it out and walk more or less normally in shoes. For those who have this problem due to the peculiarity of the growth of the nail plate, these manipulations will have to be done regularly. The frequency of cutting is 1-2 times per month.
In advanced cases, the use of antibiotics will be required. This can be applied topically or injected into the affected area.
The doctor may suggest using special springs that eliminate mechanical stress. The system is somewhat similar to installing braces, only in this case the shape of nail growth is evened out. The spring system is implanted into the nail, and a transparent gel is applied on top to secure it. The convenience is that additional care for damaged nails is not needed.
If a purulent process has already developed, then surgery will be required; it is performed under local anesthesia. During the procedure, part of the nail or it is completely removed. During the regrowth period - about 3 months, the nail bed will be constantly exposed to negative influences, so extreme caution must be taken. But this process does not guarantee that ingrowth will not happen again in the future.
Conclusion. In order for the result to be 100%, it is necessary to immediately perform plastic surgery of the periungual fold. In some cases, laser correction techniques are used.
Wild meat on the finger can appear for several reasons, but most often this pathological process begins due to injury to the cuticle or nails. Surgery, medications, and modern therapeutic procedures are used to eliminate growths.
Wild meat is an inflammatory process in which the nail plate grows into the skin. Swellings form near the nail, the periungual tissues become inflamed and acquire an abnormal hue (from bluish to purple). Most often, growths appear near the thumb or little finger. To understand what such neoplasms look like, you can look at the photo.
With a congenital pathology, the nail initially has an irregular shape, and the inflammatory process can begin at any time.
This pathology can be diagnosed at home, as it has severe symptoms. Despite this, if primary signs of the disease are detected, it is recommended to consult a doctor. Due to the lack of timely diagnosis, surgical intervention may be required.
The disease is at a progressive stage if the ingrown nail has festered, and a characteristic formation (tumor) has emerged near it. The injured finger hurts and pulsates.
There are two main types of disease: dead meat and live meat. In the first case, extensive keratinization of the skin around the nail is observed. There is no pus or blood. The formation of dead meat is a process that indicates the death of the skin.
Wild meat can be cured without surgery only at the beginning
Given: a dog with a non-healing ulcer on its hind leg after a car injury. Doctors have different opinions - either it’s wild meat, or a trophic ulcer, or “this also happens.” The innervation is impaired, the dog is constantly in bandages. There are practically no specialists left in Moscow who have not seen this dog. None of the treatment regimens produce noticeable positive dynamics. All branches agree on one thing - it will take a very long time to treat, years, perhaps, to no avail.
The paw, in fact, is practically not working - the knee joint has completely lost mobility, that is, the paw is used as a support when the dog pees. This paw does not bring any further benefit to the household, except that it simply exists.
Oksana Fund Friend . A couple of days ago my mother found this dog. I found it on Sportivnaya Street, or rather, I seized it from one of the Uzbeks. The story of the girl’s appearance is shrouded in mystery))) There are two versions, the first voiced by an Uzbek, some housewife brought two dogs to be sold for meat, but the dogs broke free and ran away, one is unknown where, the second (this girl) remained in the market and the Uzbek fed her , the second version is that when it started to get colder, the owners gave it to one of the market workers, this someone else to someone else, etc. In general, it is not known for sure. The Uzbek definitely didn’t take her for food, he’s kind and doesn’t eat dogs. The dog's back left leg doesn't work. The doctors said it was neuralgia. There are no problems with the bones, but she doesn’t use her paw, she always keeps it extended and doesn’t bend it. The dog is young, there is a mark. Presumably a Moscow nursery. Mark AHE 1459, the first letter (similar to the Russian L) and the second number (options 4 or 7) are slightly questionable. The girl is adequate, affectionate, sociable. Leg problem + thinness. She urgently needs owners. I contacted that kennel, thanks to Dasha for the contact, if the dog is theirs, they promised to let me know
Tell me, Doctor, are you familiar with this disease, which is popularly called “wild meat”? From the samples I have seen, it closely resembles sarcoma, but without histology it is difficult to say. But the fact is that I witnessed several cases of ABSOLUTE cure from the mentioned “wild meat” using primitive traditional medicine. Moreover, we were talking about patients referred by a surgeon for amputation of the affected limbs. I don’t give details so as not to give hope to the sufferers. If you are interested in this method, please respond!
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this disease. In my memory, “wild meat” was the name given to the excessive growth of granulation tissue in wounds, which does not require amputation, but only in some cases excision of excess granulations. Granulations are not classified as malignant diseases. Try talking to your surgeon.
Thanks for the answer, however, it seems we mean different things. In my cases, it was precisely those desperate patients who were prescribed amputation who turned to traditional medicine.
In the medical history before the operation, the indications for its implementation are formulated. I have never seen the diagnosis “wild meat”. The conversation would be more substantive if you could provide the medical name of the disease you are describing. Did the samples you saw remind you of sarcoma? Under a microscope? Are you somehow connected with cytology? No offense, but do you understand anything in the field of pathological anatomy or are you just an enthusiast?
As is clear from my question, I am not a doctor. At one time life brought me together with a folk specialist

The main culprit in the occurrence of this unpleasant formation is a violation of the wound granulation process, more often during the healing of open wounds. During the normal course of the healing process, connective tissue cells are formed in the wound. This connective (or granulation) tissue insulates the wound from surrounding healthy tissue and covers exposed nerves and ligaments.
Granulation tissue also forms an external barrier: as a replacement for destroyed skin, it prevents the entry of foreign bodies and pathogens and gradually fills the depression. When the hole is completely filled, the granulation tissue dries out. Due to this, the edges of the wound converge and quickly grow together.
If an excessive amount of granulation tissue is formed, it quickly enlarges, protrudes beyond the wound, and “wild meat” is formed. If it protrudes above the surface of the skin, an obstacle is created for the edges of the wound to converge and heal. “Wild meat” does not have nerve endings, but is penetrated by small blood vessels, which explains, on the one hand, painlessness, and on the other hand, the tendency to bleed.
A prerequisite for the formation of “wild meat” is the fact that the granulation process is much more active than the healing process, and at the slightest disruption in this fragile balance it is able to “take over it.” In this regard, the risk of meat growth with deep wounds is higher than with superficial injuries.
“I read a recipe in Healthy Lifestyle about “young bull horn” and immediately began looking for this medicine made from bull horn powder. I treated my toe for “wild meat” for about two months. My finger doesn’t hurt anymore, the “wild meat” has disappeared.” (The dried horn is rubbed with a file to make a powder, and this powder is sprinkled on the “wild meat”).
“Many years ago, my mother infected a wound on her foot near the nail, an inflammatory process began, which soon turned into a strange growth - from under the cuticle, like yeast dough, a mass appeared that looked like cauliflower. The surgeon did not name this growth, but prescribed an urgent amputation of the phalanx of the toe. But the neighbor said that her mother had something similar on her finger. After the amputation of the finger, the “cauliflower” crawled around the stump, and when the arm was amputated to the elbow, the process could no longer be stopped and the patient died...
In horror, we rushed to the traditional healer. She called “cauliflower” in the popular language – “wild meat”, and prescribed treatment with a bull’s horn. Instead of having to amputate the finger, Mom was cured in about 10 days.
I want to get a dog, but I live in an apartment, not in a private house. I found a lot of comments on the Internet about the dog being in the apartment. They often write that the dog will not learn to endure and will constantly crap in the apartment. What do you think?
For the method of preparing the medicine, see the file above. Sprinkle this powder generously onto the affected surface and bandage it. On small wounds and ulcers, the powder can be fixed with a band-aid. After a few hours, the entire horn will be saturated with purulent contents. Under no circumstances should this crust be torn off, pulled or wet! Just pour a new portion of powder on top. Do not use iodine, ointments or other powders under any circumstances. When the horn crust falls off on its own, a smooth healing surface will remain underneath. And one more warning: if you treat “wild meat”, it is very important not to injure the damaged area for at least a year (you will have to be very careful), otherwise you can provoke a new process that can quickly
Wild meat (old. caro luxurians) - excessive development of granulations in the fields of wounds, mainly the skin of the body in the form of fleshy growths similar to a tumor, usually of a connective tissue nature.
In the development of this pathology, a significant role is played by damage to the tissues of the fingers or, more often, toes, by ingrown sharp edges of one’s own nails. Removing the root cause can quickly eliminate the formation of wild meat, and it simply cannot be done without the help of a specialist. Firstly, it is desirable to exclude such a nuisance as oncology, and secondly, a purulent process can also develop in the connective tissue. The management of purulent diseases differs from the management of ordinary surgical pathology; it is necessary to use antibiotics and clean the wound from pus, so before running to pharmacies to look for a panacea for “wild meat”, it is still advisable to show part of your body to a specialist.
If treatment is required, then such treatment for wild meat on the finger is, as a rule, surgical removal of the nail plate - the aggressor that caused this formation. With such an intervention, the likelihood of ingrowth from a growing nail will be minimal, and, therefore, the likelihood of re-formation of wild meat on the fingers will be minimal. Nail removal is performed under local anesthesia. After removing the nail plate, an aseptic bandage is applied to the operated toe. After a week, the nail bed heals. The chances of curing this pathology are quite high.
For people who do not like people in white coats and turn to them only in extreme cases, we can recommend traditional medicine - compresses on damaged finger tissue from:
Chihuahuas are adorable little dogs, very playful and active. The meaning of life for Chihuahuas is to be your friend. They are loyal and brave and give you their sincere love. Of course, you are also madly in love with this charming girl.
As a preventive measure against the development of ingrown nails and the formation of wild
Wild meat is a special type of nail lesion in which the plate grows directly into the nail fold. The disease usually affects the big toes and less often affects the others.
There are several stages of the disease. Initially, the nail tissue is painful and swollen. Then infectious inflammation occurs and a purulent process occurs. After this, wild meat appears.
The periungual tissue increases in size, and the acute inflammatory process becomes chronic. This stage develops after a long time if the patient ignores the disease.
If the patient delays treatment, ulcers and suppuration will appear at the site of ingrowth. Traditional healers at the initial stages of this pathological process recommend:
Take warm baths. The leg will steam, the skin will become elastic and soft. Then you need to insert a cotton wool tourniquet between the tissue of the finger and the edge of the nail. After this, you need to trim your nails to eliminate ingrown corners.
In case of severe inflammation or suppuration, ichthyol ointment is necessary. Compressors from such a product help draw out pus. Ichthyol ointment is used before bedtime. In the morning the tissues will become soft. Therefore, you can try to remove the corners.
Cut off part of the nail. Approximately two-thirds of the entire thickness of the nail needs to be filed off with a nail file. It will become less rigid. This will allow you to adjust to your shoes. However, for those who have a congenital disease, this technique must be used constantly. For others, it is enough to file the nail twice a month to save themselves from discomfort. Otherwise, the wild meat will grow back, which will cause pain.
Use iodine. It is suitable for processing and drying wild meat. The tourniquets are moistened with iodine and placed under the defective corners of the nail.

My friend, after surgery, has “wild meat” growing on both earlobes. Doctors recommend surgery. I'm very interested in your method.
Just like the person who applied earlier, after I cut off the nail on my big toe, some kind of growth began to come out (I heard from friends that this is “wild meat”), please give me a recipe on how to get rid of it.
Olga. Ukraine. Kharkiv.
I ask you for help, because I have a problem with a toe, wild meat, an ingrown nail, the doctor is telling me to cut it out, I’m terribly afraid!
please tell me your secret, I will be very grateful to you.
If possible, send me an email to [email protected]
You're welcome too. I have been living with “wild meat” for 7 years; it grew as a result of improper cutting of the nail on my big toe. Thank you!
Aloe vera (agave) helps a lot, but you just need to pick it from the flower, wash it, cut it into 2 parts and apply the juicy side overnight to the “wild meat” itself, only on it. (otherwise you will burn the skin nearby - you will treat it later). After taking a long bath with sea salt and potassium permanganate, dry your finger, take the erased bandage and, carefully lifting the nail from above, pull the bandage under the nail and secure it. You can then moisten everything with iodine or “dark” potassium permanganate, i.e. dry it. At night - levomekol, during the day - potassium permanganate and flagellum (we change only with the next bath) “stretch” lower, while lifting the nail. Wild meat will either fall off from the aloe (this happened to me), or it will settle on its own, because... the wound begins to heal. Just don’t steam your leg if there is a purulent process. If it doesn’t work out, then go to the surgeon.
Please help mom. Growths on the finger. The doctor said nothing and wrote out a referral to an oncology clinic. Thank you.
I read your post (although a lot of time has passed), I want to say that your daughter should also contact a dermatologist (if she hasn’t already), if the nails do not have time to grow back, as the “meat” grows again, then there is a high probability of fungus. If not, then manganese will help. If you want, write to me by email: [email protected]
Lyudmila, Ayurveda, aromatherapy
how to cleanse the body?
please write to me how to get rid of “wild meat”
I tried alum and potassium permanganate (maybe I need more time?)
How to contact you?
what form is it in? thanks for your answer in advance.
Can anyone else suggest effective tips for getting rid of this wild meat((((I’m terribly tired(((and painful((((on my toe after cutting off an ingrown toenail.
I forgot to write, after the wild meat fell off, so that the skin would heal faster, I smeared Vishnevsky ointment on my finger at night and wrapped it in a bandage for about a week.
I’m glad that celandine helped you!)) My toenail on my big toe was removed in May. And already in October the nail grew in again, I went to the surgeon, cleaned it, cut something off, after that granulation began. She told me to do alcohol dressings, no it helped, before the New Year I went to the doctor again, they cleaned it up, it didn’t help for long! And again I cauterized it for 2 months with celandine, it was a little easier, but it started to fester. I either apply aloe, then I cauterize it with celandine, and there’s no end to it!( (.I don’t want to take off my nail! At the same time, I’m afraid of the worst consequences ((. Please tell me what to do - who knows?
Please share your method!
Hello! I’ve been suffering for half a year with a granuloma under my nail and I’ve taken antibiotics! I’ve been cutting off my nail with a bandaged finger for two months! Now they just cut off the granuloma, but not thoroughly, that is, some edges and the root probably remained, so it’s scary to go for an operation, especially since it’s not a fact that it will help! Tell me, have you found new methods of treatment? I apply the ointment 2 times Every day I periodically go to the doctor and he says: well, let’s see what’s next and shrugs
I'm not a doctor, but I don't trust doctors who throw up their hands. I was not satisfied with the recommendations that were given to me. I quit my job and continued to look for the cause of this meat. I have already undergone a CT scan, ultrasound, consultation at CITO and City Clinical Hospital No. 59.
Here's how it was: OKD 1, in which I had a computed tomography scan in June 13. (RUB 2,600 without 3D), they concluded that there was bone pathology. On the X-ray that I took in April of this year, a week after the publication of the review, I myself saw a very small bone formation, which neither the traumatologist at the emergency room, nor the surgeon at the clinic, nor the doctors at the bone pathology department at the oncology hospital noticed. I went to CITO. They did an ultrasound there and said that the meat was growing due to a bone that had formed in the soft tissues (ossification) - the check amount was 2 thousand rubles (consultation with an orthopedic traumatologist and ultrasound of the finger). I googled it at home, didn’t calm down and went to City Clinical Hospital No. 59 for a consultation. Diagnosis of GKB 59 - osteoma. This morning I took another x-ray (insisted on a specific projection) The bone is visible! I study the CT scans; the bone is also visible; if you look closely, you can see it very clearly on an ultrasound. The orthopedic traumatologist at City Clinical Hospital No. 59 made a better impression than the CITO doctor. Both suggested surgery. I think for now.
I am writing all this to you in such detail that you insist on an x-ray (you can get it done for free at the clinic (if you have a registration)), or go to the emergency room and say that someone stepped on your finger an hour ago and you are going crazy from acute pain ( If you don’t lie, they may refuse admission and send you to the clinic). Emergency rooms are open 24 hours a day. If there is a pathology of the bone, an x-ray will show it, insist that they hand over the photo, say that you will take it to the surgeon. In extreme cases, an x-ray can be done for a fee (I did it in MedicCity today). The traumatologist is not very strong in bone pathologies, you can throw out the description of the image, and with the image itself, run to a doctor, and more than one. You should seek free consultations; for money you will be accepted on the day of your request. Don't cut yourself until you find the reason. Granulomas just don’t grow that way! It may take time to make a diagnosis, but from my own example I can say that if you don’t give up, you will find the reason.
Write down the results of the x-ray, if necessary, I will give you the contacts of the ultrasound diagnostics doctor at CITO (a very good specialist), as well as the orthopedic traumatologists with whom I had an appointment.
My mother developed “wild meat” on her finger, the first time they cut off the “wild meat”, after 4 months everything came out again, the surgeon removed the nail, two months passed, the nail grew by half, now the “wild meat” came out again. Tell me how you can get rid of this disease.
Best regards, Ekaterina.
I also have a problem with wild meat. The nail does not grow in anywhere, but this meat appeared after the nail fell off from the blow. A new nail has grown, and underneath it is wild meat. Hurts a lot . please tell me how to get rid of it? Doctors don’t want to do anything. I went to the doctor 2 times. ( [email protected] ). My address.
A couple of days ago I did myself a manicure. I injected myself and an abscess started. I put ichthyol ointment and Vishnevsky ointment. the pus stopped coming out, but this damn meat came out. what to do? It’s somehow terribly scary to pull the meat out from under your nail. again this excruciating pain. I wanted to go to the surgeon, but after reading the reviews that were left earlier. I'm shocked. how to remove a nail?
I'll have to mock myself again - I'll try celandine, as written above. thanks for the tip.
I constantly change my socks, applied syntomycin and chlorhexidine, but nothing helps with the throbbing pain. I'm afraid to go to the doctor.
I read on the Internet that this is wild meat, the growth of some tissues and may be a reaction to a tumor in the body, or something in the finger.. Do you know what this could be? what am I supposed to do? Which doctors should I go to?
Help get rid of "wild meat"
I have wild meat on my big toe. and my toenails often grow into the skin, I’ve been suffering for three years now, please give me a recipe for this scourge. I beg you. I’m already tired and don’t know how to fight. If you can, send it to [email protected]
— Tsiprolet 7 days, 2 times 500 mg. (This is an antibiotic to relieve inflammation.)
— Dressings (bandage) 2-3 times a day Stellanin-PEG (Regenerating and anti-inflammatory agent) — they didn’t sell it in my city, I bought it online.
AFTER 3 days the pain when walking disappeared, and after two weeks the inflammation subsided.
A month later I went to the sea and was finally cured in the fresh air and salt water. (I didn’t burn wild meat - it gradually decreased; I sprinkled it with alum for the first week between dressings).
- Do not cover with adhesive tape
- Walk in open shoes
- Try not to put pressure when walking.
Is Tsiprolet an ointment? How can they relieve inflammation? Smudge? Sprinkle? Or inside?)
tell me how to cure wild meat, it’s very painful
How did these people remove this wild meat?
Thanks for the answer!
I read on some forum a method that a girl smeared the meat with a product against warts. And gradually, the meat dried out and fell off. I remembered that I also know methods that could stop this process.
To suppress this process. I wet my husband’s finger and an ordinary match (its wooden end) with ordinary water. I dipped the match a little into potassium permanganate powder. So that crystals stick to the tip. And she placed these crystals on a wet finger in the place where a white spot was visible on the red, inflamed skin and most likely was pus. Potassium permanganate cauterizes all abscesses well in this way until the very beginning.
But with meat :-))) I did it differently. There is a great way to remove warts - a folk one. I just use it.
Pour a pinch of regular flour into a tablespoon. And drop a drop of acetic acid (this is not the same thing as vinegar, it is already an acid that is diluted and made into vinegar) next to the flour. And use a toothpick to knead the dough into a wet, soft dough.
Now. Using a toothpick, transfer this dough to the entire surface of the meat, so that the layer of dough on the meat is 1-1.5 mm. Let the dough dry well. And don't get this place wet again. Do all this before bed and go to bed. You don't need to wear any socks. What falls away, falls away.
The next night, again apply both manganese and dough to these places. Clean the meat a little from yesterday's dough so that the new fresh dough comes into better contact with the meat.
My husband's pain immediately went away. And after three days everything passed. And the meat fell off and there was no abscess.
Acetic acid is available in grocery stores. Previously, it was always sold there. Ask your friends for it. Many people had it before. It was diluted and vinegar of different percentages was made for preservation. :-)))
