Doctor Bubnovsky and his view on the treatment of arthrosis

Among our modern specialists who treat arthrosis, Sergei Mikhailovich Bubnovsky is one of the most famous and sought-after doctors not only in Russia, but throughout the entire post-Soviet space. His kinesitherapy center with branches in various countries saves thousands of patients from various joint problems.

About Doctor Bubnovsky

Bubnovsky S.M. born in 1955. In the army he received a severe injury, which made Sergei Mikhailovich disabled. The plight did not break him, but forced him to engage in survival, prompted him to enter medical school to understand how to heal his joints, how to help those who suffer from arthrosis, arthritis, radiculitis and other joint diseases.

Bubnovsky is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, the author of 50 scientific articles and a dozen patented inventions in the field of medicine. The Bubnovsky Kinesitherapy Center is a leading medical institution dealing with the problems of osteochondrosis, arthrosis, gout and other joint diseases, and rehabilitation after injuries.

The doctor participated in the extreme auto marathons of the Paris-Dakar rally, Desert Challenge, and was a team doctor as part of the legendary KamAZ-Master. Developed and applied unique methods to provide non-surgical care to injured pilots.

Achievements of Bubnovsky

Sergei Mikhailovich began to successfully use diaphragmatic breathing in the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, which became an alternative to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

He created the direction of “new physical culture” in school education, which found support from Vladimir Putin and the Cabinet of Ministers, thus making a significant contribution to making children in Russia healthier.

He introduced the principles and achievements of sports medicine into the daily practice of doctors dealing with problems of the musculoskeletal system (MSD).

He developed his own simulator, called MTB (Bubnovsky multifunctional simulator). With its help, it has become much easier and simpler to carry out rehabilitation of patients with a broken spine.

Exercises and doctor's advice

For arthrosis, Bubnovsky gives numerous recommendations both for the prevention of osteoarthritis and for the treatment and rehabilitation of post-traumatic syndrome of joint diseases. The highlight of Dr. Bubnovsky’s exercises for arthrosis of the knee joints is walking on your knees. If there are symptoms of arthrosis, for most patients the exercises will seem painful, but the doctor gives explanations. You need to pour crushed ice into a thick cloth - you will get a homemade knee pad. Holding onto the handrails (chairs, sofa, etc.), take steps on your knees in a knee pad with ice.

Initially this will be a step or two. But they need to be done! The next day you will be able to walk on sore knees with arthrosis for a few seconds longer. You need to bring the exercise to 30 steps. More detailed recommendations should be obtained from S.M. Bubnovsky himself. or in its kinesitherapy center.

“The disease must be exhaled”

The second interesting exercise given by Dr. Bubnovsky for arthrosis of the knee joints (gonarthrosis) is performing gymnastics while exhaling the exclamation “Ha!” Bubnovsky’s phrase “The disease must be exhaled” became a catchphrase. We are not talking about the independent respiratory system here, but it has been repeatedly noticed and proven that exhaling while performing exercises with the word “Ha” noticeably enhances the effect of joint gymnastics.

For example, after walking on your knees (both with and without ice), the doctor recommends lowering your body onto your heels, saying as you exhale: “Ha!” Initially, it will be difficult for a patient with gonarthrosis or coxarthrosis to do this, but exhalation dulls the pain syndrome, and you should try to do a couple of squats. Next time it will be a little easier, Sergei Mikhailovich assures. By the way, at first, when squatting, standing on your knees, on your heels, you can place a small cushion on your legs to make it easier. You need to complete the exercise for two to three minutes. After 3-5 months, the patient will be able to walk painlessly on his knees and then sit on his heels!

Treatment of arthrosis according to Bubnovsky

Bubnovsky’s system for ridding patients of arthrosis is a very extraordinary method, rejected by some famous doctors. Doctors are criticized for sometimes cruel exercises for patients or treatment methods that are unacceptable by conservative medicine. However, the positive statistics of cured patients perhaps speaks for itself.

One thing is clear that no one has yet found a single way to get rid of osteoarthritis. Leading experts are looking for their own ways to solve the problems of joint diseases. In our opinion, treatment of arthrosis according to Dr. Bubnovsky is worthy of attention and close study, if only because Sergei Mikhailovich is a man who was able to overcome terrible injuries and disabilities, putting himself on his feet.

It is important to delve into his methodology and understand the essence of the recommendations of the honored specialist in kinesitherapy. It provides a worthy alternative to chemical drugs. Bubnovsky’s multifunctional simulator, a set of exercises, and doctor’s advice have helped thousands of seriously ill patients. A superficial understanding and application of his techniques can be harmful! For all information on the treatment of joints, you should contact Dr. Bubnovsky’s centers, a wide branch network, as well as Sergei Mikhailovich’s website. Our task in this article is to tell readers about the most famous joint specialist, to lift the veil of some of his techniques, to give patients an alternative view of arthrosis and ways to get rid of it.

Gymnastics according to Bubnovsky for arthrosis of the knee and hip joints

A set of exercises for the health of your joints

Pathology of the knee and hip joint is a fairly common disease among the elderly and people of working age. This disease often leads to limited functionality and activity of the patient, and sometimes can lead to disability. And since the joint plays a huge role in maintaining the spine and the entire body weight, physical therapy (PT) has today become an important part in the comprehensive restoration of joints.

Special gymnastics for arthrosis, supplemented by massage, can prevent disturbances in the structure of the joint tissue and maintain the patient’s motor activity, which maintains a satisfactory quality of life.

The main indications for performing gymnastics according to Bubnovsky for arthrosis

Treatment of the hip and knee joints according to the method of this professor is prescribed in the following cases:

1. To restore joints after damage or injury.

2. For rehabilitation after inflammatory factors.

3. For joint diseases in the initial stages (it is important not to aggravate the disease with other treatment methods or medications).

4. For joint stiffness.

How to treat arthrosis according to Bubnovsky

In order for therapeutic exercises to be of great benefit, it is necessary to strictly follow the following rules and advice from Dr. Bubnovsky for arthrosis:

  • It is recommended to conduct the first classes under the guidance of an instructor, who will always be able to help with the implementation and monitor the correctness of the movements;
  • training must begin with exercise, warm-up or massage to warm up and prepare joints and muscles for exercise;
  • The duration of training must be increased gradually over time. At first, 30-60 seconds are enough for one exercise, but over time it is worth increasing the duration to several minutes;
  • It is recommended to end your workout with stretching. This will relieve fatigue and slightly reduce pain.

    Following these recommendations will help you avoid excessive fatigue and severe pain. Also, don’t expect a huge positive effect or reaction after just a few sessions. The expected effect can be obtained after a certain time and only if treated using the method of Dr. Bubnovsky.

    In this set of exercises for arthrosis, developed by Dr. Bubnovsky, therapeutic exercises are performed in a lying and sitting position. This minimizes stress on your joints and reduces the chance of injury. The load when performing exercises must be increased gradually, focusing on the condition of the diseased joint. Also, with knee arthrosis, exercises at home must be performed carefully, avoiding severe pain.

    Let's get straight to the gymnastics:

    1. Lie with your back on a hard surface. Bend both legs at the hip and knee joints at once. Next, we straighten and bend our legs alternately. Perform 20 times.

    2. We are in the same position - lying on our back. We stretch our legs, and then bend one knee and try to lift the foot. We stay in this position for several seconds and return to the starting position. We do the same with the other leg.

    3. Lie on your back. Bend your right leg at the knee. And then, when extending the right leg, we bend the left. So, alternately with each leg.

    4. We do not change our position. We lie on our back, bend our knee, pressing it to our body, and fix it in this position for a few seconds. Then we relax and return to the starting position. Do the same with the other leg.

    5. The starting position remains the same. In this exercise you need to raise your straight leg 30 cm from the floor. We try to hold it for 5-10 seconds. We change the leg and do the same.

    6. Lying on your back, perform the “bicycle” exercise - this is alternate rotation of your legs. You need to maintain a rhythm in this exercise. It is worth starting to move from slow to faster.

    7. For the next lesson, you need to roll over onto your stomach and bend the knee of one leg. In this case, you must try to reach the heel to the buttock. Perform the movement slowly, without sudden impulses. Perform with both legs alternately.

    8. Sit on a chair, raise one leg and try to keep your leg parallel to the floor with your foot straight for 5 seconds. It is important to achieve tension in the muscles of the lower leg and thigh. Perform with both legs alternately.

    9. Place a chair in front of you and grab its back with your hands. Raise your legs alternately in different directions.

    10. For the next lesson we need to find a fulcrum. The back of a chair, high table or other tall object is suitable for this. We stand near this object and lean our hand on it, giving the body a stable position. We perform swinging movements with the leg (back and forth). We turn in the opposite direction and perform this exercise with the other leg.

    According to the professor’s method, such gymnastics can be performed simply to improve the condition of joints and ligaments. So, according to Professor Bubnovsky, treatment of hip arthrosis includes performing light, effective exercises every day.

    The classes look like this:

    1. Sit on the floor or other hard surface. We take our hands to the foot, which is tilted to the side and not bent. We repeat the exercise for the other leg. With sufficient physical training, you can reach for both legs at once.

    2. We repeat the above exercise, only in a standing position. Thus, we focus on the psoas muscles.

    3. Lie down on your stomach and alternately raise your straight legs up to a height of 20-30 cm. We fix the leg for a few seconds.

    4. Turn over onto your back. Raise your shoulders and head up for a couple of seconds. We stay in this position for a few seconds. Perform until the muscles get tired.

    5. Lying on your back, hands along your waist. Raise both legs up at the same time.

    6. Lie on your side. Raise the upper leg slowly and smoothly, fix it, and lower it. Repeat the same with the other leg.

    7. We finish the gymnastics lying on our back with bent legs. Raise your head and try to reach your knees.

    If all the advice is followed and the procedures are correctly systematic in the treatment of arthrosis according to Bubnovsky, the following changes are noticed:

  • motor functions of the joint improve;
  • nutrition of joint and cartilaginous tissues increases;
  • pain syndrome decreases;
  • the range of movements increases;
  • the chance of disease recurrence is reduced.
  • It is prohibited to perform Dr. Bubnovsky’s gymnastics:

    What is the Bubnovsky method of treating joints?

    Treatment of joints according to Bubnovsky is one of the most effective proprietary methods for the treatment of arthrosis. The creator of alternative directions in orthopedics and neurology considers the internal reserves of the human body to be the main guideline in ridding patients of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Bubnovsky promotes the so-called healing power of movement, and believes that anyone can achieve excellent results by following his methods. He knows exactly how to heal joints and spine, restore their function and return a sick person to a full life.

    Sergei Mikhailovich Bubnovsky is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, the author of a large number of books and videos dedicated to improving the health of the body. He also created a network of specialized centers in which patients are trained in kinesitherapy methods and provided with advisory assistance.

    Dr. Sergei Bubnovsky can tell you a lot about joints, because his author’s technique is literally “suffered through.” At the age of 22, while serving in the army, he was involved in a terrible traffic accident, as a result of which he received a number of serious injuries: his entire body was damaged, with the exception of his left arm and left leg. Due to complications in the joints, Sergei Mikhailovich could only move on crutches.

    After entering medical school, the future doctor began to study specialized literature on the restoration of the musculoskeletal system with the help of physical therapy. He tested the acquired knowledge first of all on himself. Already in his second year, Bubnovsky began to help other people - those who wanted to regain their health without operations and medications.

    Features of the technique

    Kinesitherapy is the name of Bubnovsky’s original technique. It is based on scientific and clinical studies of the human musculoskeletal system, during which the physiological and biochemical processes occurring in muscle fibers were studied. According to the theory, a person is able to voluntarily control the muscular system and carry out a targeted effect on the musculoskeletal system, encouraging it to restore lost functions.

    The rehabilitation course of kinesitherapy includes certain, gradually increasing strength loads, individually adapted for each patient, taking into account the underlying disease and concomitant pathologies, age and physiological characteristics of a particular person. A gradual transition from simple exercises to more complex ones helps restore metabolism and tissue trophism in the musculoskeletal system. The gymnastics developed by Dr. Bubnovsky has several distinctive features:

  • Complete refusal to take medications. This requirement applies to drugs with analgesic effects. According to Bubnovsky, the use of medications does not have a positive effect on the patient’s condition and does not help in the fight against the disease. To relieve pain during an exacerbation, it is recommended to use folk remedies: various compresses, plant-based ointments, rubbing.
  • Psychological mood. This is a mandatory condition, without which it is impossible to achieve a positive effect. During the course of treatment, it is recommended to work with a psychologist - the specialist will help the patient accept the fact that it is possible to effectively fight the disease without taking medications.
  • The need to undergo a full examination. Correct treatment using the right exercises can only be prescribed after one or more causes of the disease have been identified. To identify the factors that led to degenerative changes in the musculoskeletal system, diagnostic measures are carried out, including radiography, MRI or ultrasound.
  • Doing exercises regularly. Improvement of joints according to Bubnovsky requires significant effort on the part of the patient. The patient is required to adhere to the established training regimen. He must regularly perform exercises, consolidating the achievements of past exercises, and gradually, through pain, move along the path of recovery.
  • Indications and contraindications

    Joint gymnastics using the Bubnovsky method helps to achieve a significant improvement in the patient’s condition. The main indications for performing exercises are the following diseases and conditions:

  • arthrosis, arthritis and gonoarthrosis in the initial stages;
  • rehabilitation period after injuries;
  • rehabilitation period after joint diseases;
  • violations of motor functions of the joint.
  • Despite the fact that the Bubnovsky method is recognized as one of the most effective and safe, there are a number of contraindications to its use in the treatment of joint pathologies:

  • acute stage of the disease;
  • purulent forms of arthrosis and arthritis;
  • purulent inflammatory process of the synovial capsule of the knee joint;
  • ankylosis (absolute immobility of joints).
  • Performing exercises from the Bubnovsky gymnastics complex in the presence of any of the above contraindications is prohibited. This is fraught with the development of serious complications.

    To understand how patients recover, it is necessary to take a closer look at all the stages through which the patient goes. Using the example of complex treatment in a specialized center, it looks like this:

  • visit to a specialist - a vertebrologist or orthopedic traumatologist;
  • conducting myofascial diagnostics;
  • passing testing on original medical simulators;
  • development of an individual training program;
  • classes under the guidance of an experienced instructor;
  • examination by a doctor after a course of therapy, clarification of the result;
  • consolidation of the result at home and implementation of recommendations for the prevention of relapse.
  • The standard course of treatment is 12 sessions, lasting from 1 to 1.5 hours. The duration of therapy can be adjusted on the recommendation of a specialized specialist, depending on the patient’s condition and the achieved result. Patients note that after just a few days of training with an instructor, they see positive results.

    If the patient does not have the opportunity to visit a specialized center and carry out therapy under the supervision of specialists, he can do gymnastics at home. Bubnovsky’s exercises for joints are easy to perform at home. The main thing is to learn the correct technique of movements and choose a complex based on the existing problem. Depending on the disease, the set of exercises may be different.

    In order for gymnastics to bring the expected benefits, you must follow a few simple rules:

  • before performing the exercises, you need to “warm up”, that is, prepare the muscles for gymnastics through light rubbing and massage of the knee, shoulder or hip joint;
  • The exercises must be performed under the supervision of an instructor. If classes are held at home, you need to ask someone to monitor the correct technique and help if necessary;
  • The first joint gymnastics classes should not last long: 10 to 20 seconds are allotted for one exercise. Over time, the load and intensity need to be increased;
  • It is best to finish a gymnastics routine by stretching.
  • The patient must understand that the positive effect is not achieved immediately. Bubnovsky says that this method is “not for the lazy” and reminds us of the need for a positive attitude, especially at the very beginning of therapy.

    Exercises for the knee joint

    Bubnovsky’s original method contains various sets of exercises that are tailored to each specific case. Diseases of the knee joint are one of the most common cases, and gymnastics is an excellent way to cope with pain and achieve recovery. The most effective Bubnovsky exercises for the knee joint are as follows:

  • Take a thick cloth in which you need to put ice and wrap this compress around your knee. To take the starting position, you need to kneel and put your hands on a chair. When overcoming pain, the patient should take at least 2-3 steps. Thus, the patient “walks with his knees.” With each session, the duration of the exercise and the number of steps taken should be increased.
  • The starting position for the next exercise is the same. The task is to sit on your heels. This exercise perfectly stretches the front walls of the muscles and helps improve joint function. At first it will be almost impossible to sit on your heels from the starting position, so you can place a bolster under your knees.
  • Starting position – lying on your back. It is necessary to bend both legs at the knee and hip joint. Next, the legs alternately bend and unbend.
  • The patient sits on a chair and raises one leg. The task is to keep it parallel to the floor for several seconds. It is important to achieve tension in the muscles of the thigh and lower leg.
  • Another effective exercise is the supported squat. To do this, you can take a chair or simply stand against a wall - this will make it easier to maintain balance. The main task is to sit down, keeping your back as straight as possible. Your legs should be bent until they are parallel to the floor, forming an angle of 90 degrees. For the first time, it is enough to do 10-15 squats. In subsequent sessions, the number of repetitions should be increased.
  • Exercises for the hip joint

    All Bubnovsky exercises for the hip joint are performed from the “lying on your back” position. An approximate set of exercises might look like this:

  • Legs are bent at the knees. The task is to pull one leg to the chest, then the other. Next, clasp your knees with your hands and stay in this position for 4-5 seconds. Use your hands to carefully return to the starting position.
  • In the starting position, the legs are extended. The task is to lift your straight legs one by one, lifting your hips off the floor. As soon as the heel is at a height of approximately 20-30 cm from the floor, you need to stay in this position for a few seconds and carefully lower your legs.
  • Lying on your back with your legs bent, spread them in different directions as far as possible.
  • In the starting position, the legs are bent, the arms lie along the body, palms down. The task is to move your legs, simulating pushing a heavy object with your feet.
  • Legs are bent at the knees. The task is to alternately tilt the bent legs inward. You cannot lift your pelvis off the floor and change the starting position. The patient should try to touch the floor with his knee.
  • In the starting position, the legs are bent, the knees are brought together. The task is to raise and lower both legs without lifting them away from each other. When lifting, you should inhale and lower your legs while exhaling.
  • Starting position – lying on your back, legs bent at the knees. The patient needs to touch his head with his knees.
  • As Bubnovsky said, if your knees and hip joints ache, do a set of gymnastic exercises. The above schemes are perfect for therapy at home.

    Exercises for the shoulder joint

    For the treatment of diseases of the shoulder joint, the Bubnovsky technique can also be an excellent solution. The professor has a huge number of exercises for the treatment of such pathology, but the most popular are the following:

  • Starting position – feet shoulder-width apart, right arm bent at the elbow and pulled up so that the fingers touch the right shoulder blade. The elbow should look up. During execution, you need to count from 1 to 8. From counting 1 to 7, you need to place your left hand on your right elbow and gently press on it. The task is to lower the right palm over the right shoulder blade as low as possible. On the count of 8 – return to the starting position and change hands.
  • To perform the next exercise, you need to stand facing the back of a chair at a distance of 35-40 cm, with your feet shoulder-width apart. From this position, you need to lean forward so that your straight arms rest on the back of the chair. The task is to bend even further towards the floor, keeping your hands on your back. When performing this exercise, pressure is placed on the shoulder joint and it experiences stress. This is useful, but at the same time, it is important not to overdo it.
  • Starting position - standing, feet shoulder-width apart, hands behind your back - they are crossed and bent at the elbows. From this position, you need to grab your left elbow with your right hand. After this, you should do a similar action, changing hands.
  • Starting position – standing, arms down, feet shoulder-width apart. You must first place your right hand on your left shoulder, and then your left hand on your right shoulder. It will be like a person hugging himself by the shoulders. On the count of 1-7, you should try to keep your elbows as high as possible, and your fingers should stretch towards the spine. On the count of 8 - return to the starting position.
  • Treatment of the shoulder joint according to Bubnovsky gives tangible results after just a few sessions. Patients note that even light exercises reduce the intensity and frequency of pain, and over time the disease completely recedes.

    All of the above exercises are an approximate complex that can be used at home. For better results, it is better to contact a specialist who is familiar with kinesitherapy and can create an individual training plan. If this is not possible, then to better assimilate the material, you can watch videos of specific exercises to understand exactly how to perform them correctly.

    The importance of proper breathing

    Dr. Bubnovsky often notes that to achieve a positive effect from joint gymnastics, it is important not only to move correctly, but also to breathe. Sergei Mikhailovich developed a method of diaphragmatic breathing. In order to use not only the bronchi, but also the diaphragm during the exercise, you should pronounce the sound “HA” as you exhale.

    The basic principles of adaptive breathing in Bubnovsky’s technique are as follows:

  • any forceful effects (for example, squats) are performed while exhaling, the reverse movement without effort is performed while inhaling;
  • during the exercise, the exhalation should not be strong, short and quiet;
  • exhaling, the patient needs to concentrate on the painful point - as if to “heat” it with his breath.
  • When performing therapeutic exercises, it is important to remember the basic simple rules regarding the construction and conduct of gymnastic classes:

  • you need to gradually increase the load - from class to class, the number of repetitions and intensity of movements should increase.
  • you should exercise regularly - even if you are not in the mood or feel unwell, you should not stop exercising;
  • gymnastics should not turn into self-torture - you need to listen to your body and give it adequate stress so that the exercises bring pleasure;
  • muscle pain is not a cause for concern, but just an indicator of muscle function;
  • When performing gymnastics, you should always maintain a positive attitude.

    Improvement of the spine and joints with the gymnastics of Dr. Bubnovsky

    Many people suffer from diseases of the spine and joints, which makes it difficult to lead a normal lifestyle. Dr. Bubnovsky is a kinesitherapist who, based on world methods, has developed his own set of exercises, which have a positive effect on the entire body as a whole and provide long-term relief from pain and troubles associated with these diseases. Bubnovsky’s gymnastics is considered the most effective to date and has saved thousands of people from surgery.

  • The main objectives of Bubnovsky’s set of exercises
  • Gymnastics according to Bubnovsky: exercises for all occasions
    • Exercises without getting out of bed: treatment - exercises
    • Basic exercises for the spine: pain relief and relaxation for the back muscles
    • The main objectives of Bubnovsky’s set of exercises

      The doctor believes that the human body, using all its internal reserves, is able to cure ailments of the musculoskeletal system. A person must learn to hear his body and develop it, then problems with the spine and joints will disappear. This method differs from others in that it does not use drug treatment, and healing occurs through movement.

      Thanks to knowledge and research in orthopedics and neurology, the doctor developed multifunctional therapeutic Bubnovsky simulators (MTB), treatment on which is completely safe for children and the elderly, as well as correctly performed exercises on the simulators can: reduce pain, relieve inflammation and restore muscle tone.

      Despite the above developments, Dr. Bubnovsky is the author of myofascial diagnostics, which makes it possible to identify many hidden diseases, the source of pain, problem areas of the patient and eliminates errors in diagnosis.

      Bubnovsky’s gymnastics increases the elasticity of ligaments and muscles, improves joint mobility, and activates deep muscles connecting to the spine. By systematically following all the instructions, in the near future you can relieve the spine and joints, activate blood circulation in damaged areas, as well as improve the contraction of muscle tissue and restore the metabolic process. Along with this, acute pain will be reduced, intervertebral discs and articular cartilage will be restored.

      The Bubnovsky method is used in the following cases:

      • Intervertebral hernia;
      • Spondylosis of the spine;
      • Dislocations of the shoulder joints;
      • Inflammatory processes of the shoulder tendons;
      • Infarction of the hip joint;
      • Osteoarthritis of the knee joint;
      • Joint syndrome;
      • Inflammation of the prostate;
      • Inflammation of the ovaries;
      • Sexual disorders;
      • Any type of hemorrhoids;
      • Overweight;
      • Chronic bowel disorder;
      • Prolapse of internal organs;
      • Asthenic syndrome, headaches;
      • Psychomatic disorders;
      • Therapeutic gymnastics, in turn, is suitable for rehabilitation:

      • Stroke, heart attack;
      • Bypass surgery of heart vessels;
      • Compression fractures of the spine;
      • Knee or hip replacement;
      • Operations on the spine or internal organs.
      • The Bubnovsky method is also ideal for prevention:

        • Heart attacks, strokes;
        • Varicose veins;
        • Diseases of the respiratory and genitourinary systems, internal organs;
        • Various gynecological diseases;
        • Scoliosis;
        • Menopause;
        • During the prenatal and postnatal period.
        • Gymnastics according to Bubnovsky: exercises for all occasions

          First you need to conduct a myofascial diagnosis, which will allow you to identify problem areas and make the correct diagnosis. After this, you need to consult a doctor, despite the safety of MTB and gymnastic exercises, you should not exercise with cancer, bleeding or fever. The patient must get serious about the exercises; the regime must not be violated, as the effectiveness of the treatment will decrease to zero.

          Exercises without getting out of bed: treatment - exercises

          These simple exercises will help your whole body wake up; you don’t need to get out of bed and run to do exercises. Bubnovsky advises not to rush, but to calmly, lying in bed, do gymnastics at home. You can learn this technique on the Internet or purchase a disc with a video of “Dr. Bubnovsky exercises.” Therapeutic gymnastics will cope with: flat feet, gout, spurs, varicose veins, ankle arthritis, swelling of the legs and migraines.

          1. Lying on your back, arms along your body, feet shoulder-width apart. You need to pull your big toes away from you and towards you in turn.
          2. Remain in the same position, you need to bring your feet together and spread them so that when you bring them together, you can touch the bed with your big toes.
          3. Rotate your feet clockwise and counterclockwise.
          4. Try to squeeze your toes tightly, and then unclench them and spread them wide.
          5. For the knee joint. Prevention after injuries and for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee joint. Legs straight, arms along the body. It is necessary to straighten and bend your legs, trying to touch your buttock with your heel.
          6. For hip joints. During aseptic necrosis of the head of the hip joint and pain in the lower part of the spine. Legs slightly bent at the knees. It is necessary to extend the straight leg as much as possible with the heel forward until the pelvis begins to move.
          7. Feet shoulder-width apart, knees bent, arms spread to the sides, palms down. You need to turn your knees to the left then to the right, trying to touch the bed with your thigh.
          8. For people suffering from constipation, hemorrhoids, prolapse of internal organs. Legs are bent at the knees, feet and knees are pressed together, hands are free. As you inhale, raise your pelvis as high as possible and squeeze your buttocks as much as possible. As you exhale, lower and relax.
          9. For severe back pain. Lying position, legs straight, arms on the sides of the body. Gradually bend one leg, hug it with your arms and try to press it close to your chest. The back can be raised in this position, but the other leg should lie on the bed. An ideal exercise is when the knee reaches the chin.
          10. For the press. The legs are bent at the knees, the soles are firmly placed on the bed, the palm of the left or right hand lies on the stomach. As you inhale, inflate your stomach, and as you exhale, draw it in.
          11. It is advisable to perform each exercise 15–20 times. There may be slight discomfort during treatment, such as crunching in the knees or muscle cramps, pain in the spine or joints. Don’t be upset, this is normal, the discomfort will soon go away and doing the exercises will be a joy.

            Basic exercises for the spine: pain relief and relaxation for the back muscles

            1. Back relaxation. Get on all fours and relax.
            2. Sagging back. Standing on all fours, gently arch your back as you inhale and arch your back as you exhale. The number of executions is 20 times.
            3. Reaching step. Standing on all fours, sit on your left leg, right leg extended back, and left arm extended forward. Alternate legs and arms, without sudden movements. A sufficient number of executions is 20 times.
            4. Pumping. The starting position too. You need to try to stretch your torso forward as much as possible. The back should not bend.
            5. Stretching. The starting position is also just bend your arms at the elbows. As you inhale, you need to lower your torso as close to the floor as possible, while exhaling, straighten your arms and lower your pelvis onto your heels. This exercise stretches the lower back muscles, perform 5 times.
            6. Stretching the abdominal muscles. Lying on your back, legs bent, hands behind your head. The chin is pressed to the chest. As you exhale, bend your body so that your elbows touch your knees. You need to perform this exercise until you feel a burning sensation in your abdominal muscles.
            7. Lifting the pelvis. Lying down with legs bent at the knees, arms along the body. As you exhale, lift your buttocks, and as you inhale, return to the starting position. The number of executions is 25 times.
            8. Martin. Lying on your stomach, arms extended forward. As you inhale, you need to raise your arms and legs, and as you exhale, return to the starting position.
            9. To perform this exercise, you need a rubber band. You need to stand on the bandage with your feet, take the ends in your hands and raise your arms above your head. Perform 15 times.
            10. Exercise for feet. It is necessary to stand on a hill with half of your foot, the heel should hang down, and hold it with your hands. Then perform springy movements on your toes up and down. Perform 100 times.
            11. After training, you need to take a cold shower and dry yourself with a towel. To get the best results from exercise, you need to eat right, get plenty of rest and stick to a daily routine. After completing the full course of treatment according to Bubnovsky, the patient will forever forget about problems with the spine and joints.

              Deforming arthrosis (coxarthrosis) of the hip joint 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree

              Coxarthrosis of the hip joint is a severe form of osteoarthritis, a disease that occurs most often in medical practice and accounts for more than 40% of all diseases in the musculoskeletal system.

              This disease mainly begins to develop after 40 years of age in both men and women. However, in women this disease is more severe.

              Coxarthrosis is a deforming arthrosis of the hip joint, which can be successfully treated at the initial stage of development.

              But, unfortunately, patients do not immediately seek help from a doctor when they feel the first pain in the hip joint.

              Thus allowing the disease to progress.

              There are actually a huge number of reasons why coxarthrosis can develop in the hip joint:

            12. the main reason is circulatory disorders, when venous outflow and arterial inflow worsen. As a result, an accumulation of metabolic products may occur, and under-oxidized ones, and enzymes begin to activate, which subsequently begin to destroy the cartilage.
            13. Mechanical factors are also important. This is overloading the joint. Mostly professional athletes suffer from such overloads. Overweight people are also susceptible to this disease.
            14. biochemical changes in the structure of cartilage. Metabolic disorders in the human body. And, of course, hormonal changes in the body.
            15. injuries. These are traumatic dislocations, hip fractures, and all kinds of pelvic fractures. It is after injuries that coxarthrosis can begin to develop in young people.
            16. development of aseptic necrosis of the head of the pelvic bone.
            17. joint inflammation and infectious processes.
            18. spinal diseases such as scoliosis or kyphosis,
            19. flat feet.
            20. congenital pathology. Impaired development of joints.
            21. congenital dislocation of the hip. It is for this reason that coxarthrosis develops in more than 20% of people.
            22. sedentary lifestyle.
            23. heredity of the organism. Of course, the disease itself is not inherited, but the structure of the skeleton is transmitted. And if your relatives suffer from coxarthrosis, then the likelihood of such a disease increases several times.

            Coxarthrosis can be either primary, as an independent disease, or secondary, the development of which occurs as a consequence of other diseases.

            What are the symptoms of coxarthrosis?

            The symptoms of coxarthrosis are pronounced, so diagnosing the disease is not difficult. However, we must not forget that the symptoms of coxarthrosis depend on the degree of the disease. The main signs of the disease include:

          12. constant pain in the hip joint, in the knee, which does not subside even at rest.
          13. stiffness when moving.
          14. limping.
          15. with a more advanced disease, the affected leg becomes shorter.
          16. muscle atrophy develops.
          17. The mistake people make is that they ignore the first and main symptoms of the disease - pain in the hip joint, believing that the pain can go away on its own.

            However, this is a great mistake, because coxarthrosis at the initial stage can be easily and successfully treated.

            But in general, patients come when pain is no longer possible, the mobility of the leg is limited, the hip joint is destroyed, and the thigh muscles atrophy.

            Degrees (stages) of coxarthrosis

            In medical practice, there are three degrees of development of coxarthrosis of the hip joint:

            1st degree – characterized by not very strong periodic pain that can occur after prolonged physical exertion. The pain is concentrated in the hip area. After rest, the pain subsides. If you take an x-ray, you can detect initial changes in the pelvic bones. The joint space narrows unevenly, and minor growths in the bone are gradually revealed... But the neck of the femur and the head are still unchanged.

            Stage 2 – pain becomes more intense. Now the pain does not go away even at rest, radiating to the groin and thigh. When walking for a long time, lameness appears. The joint can no longer function fully. If you take an x-ray, progressive bone growths will be clearly visible. The head of the femur began to deform. It may have an uneven contour or greatly increase in volume and shift upward. Cyst formation can be detected. Thickening and expansion of the neck of the hip bone occurs.

            Grade 3 – characterized by constant severe pain that does not subside even at night. To walk, you already need support. The muscles of the buttock, lower leg, and thigh atrophy, and movement in the joint is limited.

            At this stage of the disease, the pelvis tilts, which causes the leg on the affected side to shorten, so you have to walk on your toes and tilt your torso on the affected side. And this leads to excessive stress in the diseased joint. If you look at an x-ray, you can detect abundant bone growths. Moreover, the joint space disappears completely, the joint can fuse into one bone structure, as a result, complete loss of real estate. The neck of the femur is maximally expanded.

            Diagnosis of the disease

            Only the attending physician can diagnose the disease using clinical and radiological data. With the help of research, it is possible to determine the degree of development of the disease and its etiology. It is with the help of X-rays that it is possible to establish an accurate diagnosis, and therefore prescribe effective treatment. The main thing is that only a specialist should do this.

            Treatment of coxarthrosis of the hip joint.

            When the disease coxarthrosis of the hip joint is diagnosed by specialists, treatment is prescribed.

            For stage 1 disease, preference is given to conservative treatment, using various medications and drugs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxants, chondroprotectors and other drugs).

            NSAIDs are good painkillers for coxarthrosis; they relieve swelling and inflammation of the joint, thereby relieving pain.

            Muscle relaxants relieve muscle spasms, stimulate blood circulation, and chondroprotectors help restore damaged cartilage tissue.

            These medications are used both as tablets and as injections, depending on the degree of pain and the doctor’s prescription.

            In the treatment of coxarthrosis of the hip joint, folk remedies also help well. The use of traditional medicine is possible in combination with conservative treatment, but it is necessary to consult with your doctor. This tandem usually gives good results.

            Basically, using ointments, tinctures, lotions of traditional medicine, it is possible to relieve pain, spasm, inflammation, but they cannot have a therapeutic effect.

            Physiotherapeutic methods (laser therapy, medicinal baths, acupuncture, mud therapy, massage, gymnastics) are of considerable importance in the treatment of coxarthrosis.

            The choice of exercises is carried out with great care and only by a specialist, so as not to injure the affected joint.

            In the first and second stages of the disease, arthroscopic debridement is used - a surgical intervention in which small destroyed cartilage particles are removed. This helps reduce pain and stiffness in the joint.

            Periarticular osteotomy is a surgical procedure in which the femur is filed in certain places and then reconnected at a certain angle, which helps slow down the development of coxarthrosis.

            A very complex operation is performed to replace the joint with a special endoprosthesis, which is implanted into the pelvic and femur bones.

            Such a prosthesis ensures full vital activity for a person, since it is a complete copy of a real joint and has its characteristics.

            Exercise therapy and gymnastics for coxarthrosis

            A big advantage of using therapeutic exercises in the treatment of coxarthrosis is the ability to fully and regularly perform them at home.

            Bubnovsky’s gymnastics for coxarthrosis

            10 exercises for fingers with arthrosis (photo)

            The therapeutic exercises described in this article will help strengthen your hands and fingers affected by osteoarthritis, increase your range of motion, and reduce hand pain, bringing long-awaited relief.

            Perform these finger squeezing and stretching exercises until you feel enough tension, but no more.

            Please note: you should not feel pain when performing the movements described below! Before performing the gymnastics described below, be sure to consult with your doctor and obtain his consent to perform these movements.

            1. Make a fist with your hand

            Start warming up your joints with this simple exercise (as shown in Figure 1):

          18. Gently clench your hand into a fist, while pressing the other fingers to the palm with your thumb (position 1);
          19. hold your hand in this position for 30 to 60 seconds;
          20. Unclench your fist, then spread your fingers so as to maximize the distance between them (position 2);
          21. Perform this exercise with both hands at least four times.
          22. 2. Stretching the hand

            Try this simple exercise to help reduce arm pain and increase range of motion in your hand joints.

          23. Place your hand, palm down, on a table or other flat, firm surface (as shown at the top of Figure 2).
          24. Gently and slowly straighten your arm so that your hand appears as flat as possible (see bottom of Figure 2), while being careful not to put too much pressure on the knuckles.
          25. Hold your hand in this position for 30-60 seconds.
          26. Repeat this exercise at least four times (for each arm).
          27. 3. Claw stretch

            This fun exercise will help increase the range of motion in the metacarpal joints and finger joints.

          28. Hold your hand in front of you with your palm facing you.
          29. Bend all the fingers of your hand so that each of them, if possible, can reach the tubercle of the palm at the base of each finger (see Fig. 3). As a result, your hand should look a little like a claw.
          30. Hold your palm in this position for 30 seconds to a minute, then slowly release.
          31. Perform this movement at least four times for each hand.
          32. 4. Strengthen your movements with additional objects.

            Doing this exercise regularly will help you improve your ability to use door handles, as well as your ability to hold various objects in your hand without letting go or dropping them.

          33. Take a soft ball in your hand and squeeze it as hard as you can. (Remember that you should not feel any pain while doing the exercises!)
          34. Hold your hand in this squeezing position for a few seconds, then slowly release.
          35. Repeat this exercise 10-15 times with each hand (see Fig. 4). Perform this exercise 2-3 times a week so that your hands “rest”, i.e. could restore their strength between such exercises for 48 hours.
          36. Do not perform this exercise if you have an injured thumb joint!

            5. Pinch with force

            The useful exercise described below helps strengthen the muscles between the thumb and the rest of the fingers. This skill allows you to more confidently use keys to open and close doors, open food packages, and make it easier to use a gas stove (turning burners on and off).

          37. “Pinch” the ball (made from soft materials) with the tip of your 2-5 finger and your thumb, as shown in Figure 5.
          38. Hold this position for 30-60 seconds.
          39. Repeat this movement ten to fifteen times with each hand.
          40. This exercise, like the previous one, must be performed two or three times a week so that the period of rest and recovery of the hands is at least 2 days. It also cannot be done if you have a damaged joint of the first (thumb) finger.

            This therapeutic movement is very useful for increasing the range of motion and flexibility in the joints of the hand.

          41. Place the brush on a flat, hard surface (for example, on a table) and press your palm against it as tightly as you can, so that the brush is as flat as possible.
          42. Gently lift one finger off the table (as shown in Figure 6) and then slowly lower it.
          43. Do this with all other fingers. You can also raise all your fingers at once, with or without your thumb, and then lower them just as slowly.
          44. Repeat this movement 8-12 times for each palm.
          45. 7. Thumb Retraction

            Regular practice of this highly beneficial therapeutic movement can allow you to improve your grasping, holding and lifting of a variety of heavy objects such as cans and bottles.

          46. Place your hand flat on the table. Wrap the elastic band around your hand at the base of your knuckles.
          47. Gently move your thumb away from the rest as far as you can, as shown in Figure 7.
          48. Hold for 30 to 60 seconds, then release and relax your finger.
          49. Repeat this manipulation 10 to 15 times on each hand. As in ex. 4 and 5, it is necessary to perform this movement two to three times a week so that the period between sessions is at least 48 hours.
          50. 8. Thumb flexion

            This exercise, like many of the procedures mentioned above, helps increase the range of motion in the joints of the hands.

          51. Starting position: arm extended with palm in front of you.
          52. Move your thumb away from the others as far as you can. Then bring your thumb toward your palm so that its tip touches the base of your little finger (as shown in Figure 8).
          53. Repeat this movement at least four times for each hand.
          54. 9. Touching the thumb

            This exercise helps increase the range of motion in your joints, which can improve important everyday skills such as using a toothbrush to brush your teeth, using a fork and spoon, and using a ballpoint pen to write.

          55. Starting position: Hold your hand straight in front of you, your wrist should be in a horizontal line, as seen in Figure 9.
          56. Gently touch first with your index finger and then 3-5 fingers to your thumb to form the letter “O”.
          57. Hold the hand in this position with each finger for a period of 30 to 60 seconds.
          58. Repeat this stretch at least four times on each arm.
          59. 10. Thumb Stretch

            Try these two relatively simple movements to stretch the joints, ligaments, and muscles of your thumb:

            1) Hold your hand with your palm facing you.

          60. Gently bend the tip of your first finger downward, closer to the base of your index finger.
          61. Hold this position for 30 seconds to a minute.
          62. Release and repeat four times.
          63. 2) Hold your hand so that your palm is also facing your face.

          64. Gently stretch your thumb toward the opposite edge of your palm, using only the bottom knuckle, as shown in Fig. 10.
          65. Fix your hand in this position for 30-60 seconds.
          66. Release and repeat four times for each brush.
          67. If, in the process of performing the physical therapy movements listed above, you feel pain and stiffness in the joints, and inactivity in them, then try warming up the joints of your hands before you begin such gymnastics.

            This will help your joints gain greater flexibility and a wider range of motion. To do this, you can apply a warm heating pad to your hands or warm your hands in warm water for 5-10 minutes.

            If you want to get deeper warming of muscles and joints, you can use this method. Take a small amount of oil (vegetable or massage) in your hands, cover your hands with it, then put rubber gloves on your hands and soak your limbs in warm water for a few minutes.

            12. Play with playdough or clay

            Doing crafts with clay or play dough is a great way to increase range of motion in your joints while building muscle strength in your arms.

            Thanks to the game, such manipulations and entertainment are not even perceived as physical exercise.

            Blind the plastic material you have into a ball, and then roll it into a long snake, as children do. Use your fingertips to sculpt small pieces of crafts or pictures like the one shown in Figure 12. Just follow your inspiration and sculpt whatever your heart desires from plasticine - from boats to dinosaur spines!

            Joint diseases and excess weight are always associated with each other. If you effectively lose weight, your health will improve. Moreover, this year it is much easier to lose weight. After all, a tool has appeared that...
